Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This was my first time staying at Samarah Dead Sea Resort, and it definitely won’t be my last Everything about our experience was smooth and enjoyable, starting with the wonderful host, Hadeel. She was kind, helpful, and made sure I had everything we needed One of the things I really appreciated was the flexibility of being able to bring my own food and drinks with no extra charge, such a rare perk that made our stay feel even more comfortable and personal The adults-only swimming pool was absolutely amazing, clean, peaceful.. Thank you Hadeel for such a lovely experience, I’m already looking forward to coming back🥳

United StatesAmazing experience at the resort. We had a great mud and salt treatment with the on staff lifeguard. Floated in the dead sea and enjoyed our time, all the while paying less than half of what is typically charged for such an experience. The apt was wonderful and it was filled with all the things that you need to have a good time. The kitchen had all the basics, even a microwave. The cabinets included the hidden refrigerator and freezer, plus a clothes washer. All plates were there. Lots of cups and mugs. It felt like being at a resort but also being just like home. The entire staff was very kind and wanted us to have a great time. We are at the owner of the resort. He welcomed us with open arms and asked how we were enjoying ourselves. Such personal treatment in such beautiful settings is a rarity. Do not hesitate to stay in this wonderful apartment. It will make all your Dead Sea dreams that much better.

Czech RepublicDear host, thank you again for the comfortable accommodation for our last night in Jordan. If you're interested in little suggestions that might help in the future, I would recommend a short video for first-time guests on how to open the apartment with the card. The handle is a bit loose, which made it difficult for us to open the door on the first try. We ended up trying to enter the code into the handle mechanism, wondering how to get in. Also, the Wi-Fi didn’t work for us - it appeared connected but showed "no internet." However, Wi-Fi by the pool was available, so in the end, it wasn't a problem. It really is a beautifully designed apartment, and we liked the whole hotel complex. It was a lovely bit of relaxation before flying home. All the best, and thank you!
Beautiful Accommodation – Apartment in a Hotel Complex We had a bit of trouble finding the apartment at first, but we received help. It's possible to arrive at any time; you can access the apartment with a card, which you get from a lockbox by the door after entering a code provided by the host. Lovely balcony. Fully functional kitchen. Two bathrooms, showers with hot water. Everything was wonderful 😊 We only stayed for one night and enjoyed the hotel pools and access to the Dead Sea in the morning before our departure. That was enough for us on our travel-style vacation, but for those planning a longer stay, it's definitely a great place to relax.

South AfricaThe pricing glitches, from service fees not reflected on my side of the booking, which the owner asked for separately, to not being able to pay on the app, incurring further costs on PayPal or cash withdrawal. The payment process is a bit cumbersome.
The resort gives a private beach experience, along with carts and beach services 😀 we had a good time. We landed earlier than anticipated, and the owner went above and beyond to accommodate our early check-in. The resort / complex staff were ever accommodating and cautious 💝

IndiaThough the apartment and resort is really nice, there's no convenience store within the resort, only in the mall next door. And if you're walking out of the campus, you will come across an astronomical amount of flies. And the mall is really, really sad during the day but it has all the required facilities - convenience store, restaurants (all types), cafes, swimsuit shops, Dead sea products, souvenirs etc. Not really for shopping though. So it's best if floating in the Dead Sea is your main plan, and you'd like to spend a night or two before heading to your next destination in Jordan.
For its price, it is probably one of the most economical options for having a great Dead Sea experience. The property was spacious, very clean, had all the basic amenities and facilities and quite spacious, with a good side view of the dead sea. And a washing machine!!! The owner had sent a pdf with all the necessary information well in advance so we had no issues after reaching the property and checking in. Since it is a residential resort, the first time you enter the security will ask you for your passports if you are a foreigner and keep copies with them. So be prepared to spend a few minutes at the gate. But they are very courteous and cooperative. This apartment doesn't have a view overlooking the heart of the resort (the vast swimming pool), but it is well within reach of the main facilities in the resort. We first went and checked all the locations after checking in and then made our plans, this helped a lot. For us the main attraction was the Dead Sea and this resort has a really good access and there is also an attendant who will guide you (and also give you an amazing salt-scrub-massage). There is a long winding slope down to access the banks of the Dead Sea and you can ask one of the staff to transport you down on their golf carts. The attendant will also call for a cart for going up. Showering areas are provided both near the bank (I won't call it a beach :P) as well as a little way upstairs. The owner was very courteous and pleasant when he came to collect the booking amount (they prefer cash, so keep that handy). Some of the folks here have a little trouble with English so keep your Google translate ready too. The resort has a central restaurant near the pool which serves and delivers good food but the items are very limited. But there is a Mall within walking distance (do not park your car inside the mall area, they charge you for valet even if you parked it yourself) with lots of restaurants and they deliver to the resort.

AustraliaA great apartment in a private resort with two infinity pools and access to a private beach on the Dead Sea. The apartment was spacious and clean, and had a well equipped kitchen. We bought food from a grocery store at the nearby Samarah Mall and cooked it in the kitchen. We paid cash on arrival (we were not asked to transfer the money before hand) - this seems common in Jordan. The apartment was reasonably priced, and we feel it was much better value than staying at one of the nearby resort hotels. We booked for one night and wished we could have stayed longer.

Czech RepublicI paid the room in advance through paypal, once i got there they claimed i had not paid even though they had confirmed they had received the money. It took multiple calls to all parties involved while the local person who gave me the keys and didnt speak english was looking at me like i was trying to steal from them to finally get everything sorted out and them confirming that i had indeed paid. This took 30min, right after doing a long drive, very unpleasant.
Spacious apartment with large balcony with table and chairs on it. Good AC, large TV, full kitchen. The resort has 2 nice swimming pool, and access to a tiny beach on the dead sea. There is also an entertainment room and gym. There is no real restaurant at the resort but there is a mall very close by that has several restaurants.

LebanonI had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment. The compound itself is stunning, with lush greenery and luxurious amenities. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, overlooking the Dead Sea. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-lit. Saed was incredibly helpful and accommodating, ensuring that I had everything I needed. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the access to the Red Sea. Swimming in its crystal-clear waters was a truly unforgettable experience. Afterwards, I enjoyed a relaxing mud bath and salt scrub, which left my skin feeling rejuvenated. Overall, I highly recommend this Airbnb. It offers excellent value for money compared to nearby hotels, and the experience is truly unique.

BelgiumSometimes the owner took time to respond to me or responded but very late, also I saw a cockroach but it’s because I left the drain of the bathroom sewer open after taking a shower so I guess that was on me, and also the door handle of the entrance is very old and almost broken but the owner told me she will fix this, some people were smoking and eating VERY close to the pool and the adult pool was filled with alcohol next to it ( cans and bottles a few cm from the pool ) and you could smell it while swimming which was very disturbing, but all of this wasn’t the owner’s fault but just the resort not paying attention enough, also there’s not much to do after sunset, only a mall with few restaurants ( very overpriced ) and a some grocery shop with very very basic stuff and overpriced too, if you’re planning to go for a week, I hope you love doing nothing but take some sun, swim and sleep, but anyways most of the issues aren’t big and it’s more of the resort’s fault than the actual apartment where I had no major issues at all and that I would 10000% recommend over any hotel
It was a great 3 night stay and I am glad I chose this apartment instead of a hotel, there’s 2 pools ( 3 but one is never used maybe because it’s very small ) and there was almost nobody there so it felt like I owned the whole place, there is nobody at the dead sea and you have the whole sea for yourself, the apartment is very spacious and perfect for 2-3 people with a large balcony and a great view, everything was pretty clean ( for Jordanian standard of course ) and they left some fresh water which was pretty nice, I would definitely recommend as it was a great place to just relax and breathe fresh Dead Sea air, I should add that you have an amazing view on the beautiful Palestinian mountains right across from the pools and the sights are amazing, and finally the guy in charge while there, his name is Ibrahim, was very nice and helpful, responded very quickly and tried his best to provide help with anything, I should also mention that the owner let me check out at 3:00 when normally it’s at 12:00, free of charge which was very nice of her
