I booked petra icon hotel but they moved my reservation to their sister company which is PETRA MOON HOTEL. And it was worth to stay. The staff are welcoming from the security till the reception , even if they don’t offer me a welcoming drink. Thanks to Soufian from the reception for showing his affable manner. And if i have a chance to come back in petra definitely Petra Moon Hotel is definitely a top choice.

While I cannot review the Icon Petra Hotel as we were offered an upgrade to its 4-star sister property, the Petra Moon Hotel, my overall experience was absolutely positive. The hotel is just a two-minute walk from the entrance to the Petra archaeological site. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hotel features a rooftop pool—which is quite rare in Petra—from which you can enjoy a view of the enchanting city. We also had dinner at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, and it was an exceptional meal, both in terms of atmosphere and food quality. The only regret is seeing Petra with so few tourists, which is heartbreaking considering the great spirit and warm hospitality of the amazing Jordanian people.

very nice location. Actually you can just park your car in the hotel and walk to the Petra visiter center. Actually we upgraded to 4 star Petra moon hotel. All the comments are for the Petra moon hotel.

Amazing staff and position to access to the Petra site

The staff was so sweet and very helpful. The bedding was pretty comfortable. The room was clean and we had enough space for two. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is exceptional as we were pretty close to the Petra site (~5 min walk).

Hotel has a great location, very near to Petra entrance. Front desk is extremely polite and helpful. Good room facilities. During our one-night stay it was quit but not sure in high season.

No good water pressure, Wifi signal is poor, it is not spotles though not dirty either.

We were upgraded from the Petra Icon Hotel to the Petra Moon Hotel before we arrived, so this review is about Petra Moon Hotel. Petra Moon Hotel is a nice hotel, just 100 meters from the front entrance to Petra. Breakfast and dinner have a wide selection of foods, so even picky eaters should be able to eat well. Breakfast even has made-to-order omelettes. And, we stayed there two nights...one of those nights, dinner was on the rooftop terrace, so you could see the city in the evening and at night. It was great! Our room was spacious and clean.

My only complaint would be that rather than answer a quick question about directions or info on a specific site at Petra, front desk staff will just push for you to use a guide they know. They will, outright, refuse to answer the question, and tell you they know best and you should just pay 150 Dinar for their friend who is a guide. Aside from that, everyone else at the hotel was kind and helpful.

It’s very close to the Petra visitor center, only 5 mins walk. Also the reception are very responsive and friendly, showing high level of customer service

The light in the hotel suddenly fell from the celling and almost hit my head. Luckily I didn’t get hurt. The hotel needs more maintenance and regular checks.

Hotel was so nice to prepare pretty good takeaway breakfast, as we left for Petra at 6 in the morning.
