How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEverything was perfect. The camp is deep in the desert which allows for peace and quiet. The food was great and the tours that you can book through the camp are interesting. Majid is a great and reachable host, and his staff is helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed.

Verified reviewI visited the camp with my family and they absolutely loved the place. The facilities were great making the stay so comfortable for them. We rented bubble tents, and the tents were very spacious, with their private bathroom inside. There is also so much possibility to enjoy the stay even if you don’t plan to take a jeep or other tour (although tours are greatly recommended to get the most of Wadi Rum experience). The owner was very helpful right from the booking day. He shared all the relevant information about the stay and the activities we could take. Also, upon arrival we received the best support. This was a short stay, but super enjoyable.
There was no such thing that we noticed during our short stay.

Verified reviewLocation is good. Bubble tents close to eachother were given to us by the host. I thank him for this. He was nice to us when we arrived.
The bedsheets not at all clean. Hair on bedsheets . Sand on bedsheets. We had two rooms and one was full of mosquitos. The bathrooms are highly unclean. Very dirty and foul smelling toilets. I could barely enter without holding my nose to stop getting the smell. One of the bathrooms didnt have proper latch and the door stayed open all the time. It is very very cold at night. The host was bit rude to us when we complained about dirty bedsheets and mosquitoes.
First of all, I apologize, dear guest, for your experience. You didn't stay at the Stardust camp. I tried to contact you via WhatsApp, but unfortunately you didn't have a connection. You went with a wrong person to another camp and our driver was waiting for you for two hours. You had to check a reservation before you went with someone else. We tried to contact you all night, but there was no answer. You were alerted through your original message automatically. Don't trust anyone until you confirm your reservation.

Verified reviewYesterday, I had a wonderful day in Wadi Rum. The day started with the sunrise, with the beautiful colors in the sky heralding a day full of adventures. After breakfast, we set off on a short hike to a stunning viewpoint overlooking the valley. During the hike, we enjoyed the beautiful natural atmosphere, and there were many birds chirping around us. We reached the point, and the views were incredible! We took lots of pictures, and it was a great moment to share laughs with friends. Afterwards, we participated in a pottery making activity, where we learned new techniques and created pieces of art. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious meal around the campfire, where we exchanged stories and shared wishes. It was a starry night, which made the atmosphere truly magical. Simply put, it was an unforgettable day, full of beautiful experiences and memories that I will cherish forever.

Verified reviewI enjoyed my trip to a wonderful camp in Wadi Rum, where the experience was amazing from every aspect. The surrounding nature was magical, surrounded by towering mountains and soft sand, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. One of the things that caught my attention was how friendly the staff were. They were always smiling and ready to fulfill any request. I felt like I was at home, their hospitality was warm and friendly. As for cleanliness, the camp was excellently organized. The tents and facilities were always in excellent condition, which added a touch of comfort and safety to my experience. Perhaps what impressed me most was the delicious food. The meals were varied and delicious, as they served distinctive traditional local dishes that embodied the flavor of the region. Each meal was a new experience, and I enjoyed tasting everything different. This trip was definitely an unforgettable experience, and I look forward to returning again to enjoy everything this beautiful camp has to offer.

Verified reviewThis was one of the best places we stayed in Jordan for sure. You have a lot of choice when looking at Wadi Rum camps because there are so many but I would really recommend this one. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming - they really looked after us. The breakfast was great and I would recommend booking the dinner on the nights you stay because Ali made us fantastic traditional Bedouin meals. The location is excellent - for me it was important to have uninterrupted views of the desert - I didn’t want to look out onto lots of other camps - and this camp definitely met the requirements. Some of the camps are actually quite close to each other or close to the road. This one is quite far into the desert so it’s perfect. There is a very safe place to leave your car at Majed’s office. There is a lovely and cool communal dining/relaxing area. Then you can book your jeep tour directly with Majed (this is the best way to do it directly from the property as all the tours offer basically the same route anyway). We did the 4 hour tour which was just right - lots of variety and different scenery as well as information about Bedouin herbs, lifestyle, tradition etc and ending with an amazing sunset view. I’m really glad we stopped for 2 nights instead of just 1 as it gave us plenty of time to relax and soak up the scenery. Just loved it all!!
There’s no hot water for a shower - this isn’t a problem as you are camping and it’s hot in the desert anyway. I’m only saying it to manage your expectations

Verified reviewVery hospitable and professional staff who are attentive to your every need. Each tent is beautifully decorated and outfitted with a private bathroom & shower as well as a terrace with benches/chairs from which to enjoy the beauty & solitude of Wadi Rum. The zarb dinner was well prepared and delicious. I did a wonderful night tour and full-day tour with them as well and enjoyed every second of it. Maged and his team are well-organized, kind, and incredibly hospitable. The camp itself is far from the main road so you feel more isolated and can enjoy the quiet beauty of Wadi Rum to its fullest. Highly recommended!

Room a bit hot, but that should be expected when you are in the desert during summer.

Verified reviewStaff is there to provide you a wonderful experience. Due to high temperature, he called to adjust the tour time to ensure a better experience for us, which helped a lot! The tour was amazing!
On a less positive note, if you come in the peak of summer, like us, be mindful of the high temperatures, both during the tour and specially during the night.
