Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyThe hotel is located very close to the ancient site of Jerash, which makes it perfect for anyone wanting to visit the archaeological area. For the price we paid, which was very affordable, it was just right. The rooms were fine, and the staff were all very kind and helpful. Alaa, the young woman at the reception, brought us a delicious breakfast and some tea—she was incredibly sweet and friendly. They even allowed us to visit the site before checking out!

United KingdomThe listing stays check in is available from 12. We got there at 2pm and were told our room wasn’t ready, we waited for 45 mins in the cafe. After waiting we were taken to our room which wasn’t ready, the cleaners were still cleaning the floor. The shower didn’t drain. There was 5cm of water in the bathroom the whole time, with residue from the drains coming up and floating in the water. The whole room stank of sewage. WiFi was barely usable. Cafe was not open in the morning. Trash left on the tables and terrace.
Location is excellent

United KingdomRoom was not fit for purpose! Water leak with dripping water down the wall, being caught by rotten towels hidden behind curtains which swelled awful. Shower had brown water coming out and was poorly finished. Toilet and shower were dirty. The bedsheets and pillows were dirty. We had to leave the room for an hour late at night for it to be cleaned which still wasn’t sufficient. We booked a Jordanian buffet breakfast (which we had to pay extra for) for 7:00 am and when we went to the restaurant we were met with a mess from the previous evening’s bar and there was no sign of breakfast. When we asked the staff they said they thought it was for 10:00 and asked us to give them 40 mins to sort breakfast. They then turned up with pizza from the fast food shop below the hotel. This was unacceptable and not what we had been told we would get. At that point we decided to leave the hotel and asked for our money back for the breakfast. We should have had a refund for the room too. At checkout they also asked us not to leave a bad review when they knew they should never had rented out the room.
Only the location.

JordanIt was a beautiful trip to Jordan, and the Jerash Hotel was a very wonderful hotel. The staff is very nice, and the view was wonderful. The Roman ruins of Jerash were all in front of you. I opened the curtains and looked at the view. On the fifth floor, they have a very beautiful location with everything. It was called Al-Zaytouna, and it was overlooking the Jerash Mountains and the ruins of Jerash. I recommend it to everyone. Thank you, Jerash Hotel, I promise you that I will repeat it again ❤️👌🏻

Romania-
If you're visiting the ancient city of Jerash, this hotel is a great base. Just a few minutes from the Roman ruins, Jerash Hotel offers clean, spacious rooms, helpful staff, and a calm atmosphere. The breakfast is basic but fresh, and enjoying it on the terrace with views over the city is a real treat. Free parking is a bonus if you're driving. It’s not luxury, but it’s affordable, peaceful, and right where you need to be. Perfect for travelers who value location and simplicity.

IrelandHotel is a building site. The family suite we were offered, the toilet didn't work so we were moved.. The room had only light curtains so the room was lit all night by the bright street lights and then the early morning sun. The glass in the window offered absolutely no sound proofing and the room faced a very busy noisy street.. There was no hot water for showers this morning, the room is not ready for guests and was dirty..The breakfast room has a gorgeous view of the ruins but it's covered in builders dust. The staff were lovely but unfortunately I could not recommend this hotel at this time..

GermanyParts of the hotel are currently refurbished. 4th floor is under construction with all the dirth associated with refurbishment. Service was poor, the breakfast buffet still had the left-overs from the day before. I had to ask to clean the table before having breakfast. There was a refrigerator and a water heater in the room, but not connected to electric power and no cups and tea bags for making tea or coffee.
The hotel is located opposite the historical site with a great view from the roof top. That's it.
