Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe loved our stay here. Staff was lovely and the surroundings and views are gorgeous...very peaceful. We booked it thinking it was close to Wadi Ghaweir. It turned out I had made a mistake as the camp is close to the entrance of Dana Reserve but our trail was quite far. They helped us to find a driver who will take us there and gave us informations about the trail and we were also able to order 2 lunch boxes for the hike with lots of food and drinks and at a very reasonable price. We loved this camp and will definitely come back again.

United KingdomGreat stay in the desert. We had the place almost for ourselves and took advantage of the beautiful surrounding. Food was a little basic but we were in the desert so perfectly understandable. Staff was lovely and made our stay extra special.

SpainThe camp has an amazing view on the Dana reserve. The owners are very friendly and happy to share time with the guests. To have dinner there is highly recommended, the meal we had was delicious. Highly recommended if you want to have a different experience in Jordan. The Dana reserve entry is just few minutes away. I recommend to do the mountain trail if you go there.

United KingdomI didn't really like the bathroom block. It was cold and a bit uncomfortable. I didn't try the single shower in the ladies' bathroom. Probably one shower isn't enough for that many female guests. The blankets were synthetic and very heavy and warm for the season. We weren't given any towels. The breakfast was at 8, which was a little early for us.
A nicely situated camp on the edge of Dana biosphere reserve. Good dinner and breakfast.

United Arab EmiratesMy husband said that the men's bathroom weren't always very clean.
We ended up at Ein Lahda as everything else was fully booked, and we did not regret it! The staff is absolutely lovely, and because we were there early we could pick up our rooms / tents location (front line to the view). The food (buffet) was absolutely excellent, and so was the breakfast. They also showed us the moon and Staurn through their telescope which was very enjoyable. Rooms / tents are very simple but also very comfortable. The views are stunning, and it's literally a 2mn drive from Dana's Nature Reserve entrance (staff also lovely there, btw) where you can do lots of hikes.

FranceThe shower had to be adjusted for a comfortable temperature as it was hot and cold. But we are in the desert and it is part of the trip.
It is a lovely campsite clean with lovely views close to Dana reserve. The staff is very nice and the meal was delicious. We were upgraded to a cabin which was very comfortable.

ItalyThere was no entertainment after dinner, not even background music in the tea room after dinner. Only one socket in the room
The welcoming tea, the staff was very kind and helpful without being invasive. The location, isolated and with a nice view. The dinner was very good, lots of food and very well prepared.

SloveniaCold shower but you have to expect that at campsites so not that it’s negative, just a useful information :)
The hosts are super nice, gave us some fruits and vegetables straight from the garden, a nice dinner and there is a cute fox always lurking around the campsite. Very close to the entrance of Dana Nature Reserve (10-15min walk).

The people are amazing! 1 night we were the only guests, 1 night there were many people. Both were nice. The tents are comfortable, the view is super. We saw the fox with her daughter! We went to Wadi Ghuweir, which was a very beautiful hike for our family.

NetherlandsThe only thing that could be better is to have a bed instead of a mattress on the floor of the tent. It was pretty convenient though.
The host Salman and his family were extremely kind and nice. He showed his cool photography equipment and spent some time with us. The view on the valley is beautiful.

PortugalThere could be more showers. We here there when they where full and had to manage our shower times according to the other groups but nothing dramatic.
The location is absolutely stunning. You couldn't be more in the middle of nature than this. The staff is very nice. Very tasty food. If you stay more than on day you might find it a little repetitive but it is made with the ingredients they have so for us "if its good, why change it?" They feed a small fox at dinner time so it's almost 100% sure she will show up (we saw her every night). They have a terrace looking up the mountains and dead sea facing sunset. That with a warm tea on the first day was the highlight of our stay here. Parking available on permisses.

NetherlandsSimple but comfy stay near the Dana Reserve. Magnificent view of the valley (don’t miss out on thesunset!). It’s a 3 minute drive to the reserve entrance where you must park your car and pay an entrance fee. It’s a 20 minute downhill walk to the Rumana camp. From there you can do 3 different hikes on designated trails (1 hour, one and a half or two hours). If you enter Ein Lahda Camp from Basira watch out for the kids alongside the road, they are rude as hell.
