How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEid is a friendly host and try to give you a feeling of their culture and kind of living. He also brings me at 6 am in the morning to the camp for reaching the local bus to Aqaba. They offer you also camel and jeep tours through the desert.
Remember, that you'll stay in the desert.
Thank you Armin for your visit and hope to host you again in my camp Thanks again for your review Kind regards Eid

Verified reviewEid and Fatih were wonderful hosts. We had an amazing Jeep tour with a great traditional meal in the desert. The breakfast and dinner were also really good with many options - considering we were in the desert :) We really enjoyed our stay.

Verified reviewEid and his son were so welcoming and we had an amazing time there. The jeep tour was amazing and watching the stars was incredible.
The shower/toilet block is being rebuilt currently so only 1 shower. But it’s in the middle of a desert so facilities were good for what it was.
,Dear Louise Thank you for your visit it is a pleasure to host you in my camp Wish yoh a great evening Eid

Verified reviewWadi Rum is beautiful!
The host forced us to leave at 08:30 even though the checkout was until 13:00. What they do not say on booking is that there is a transfer fee that is 10 JOD per trip which is unavoidable.

Verified reviewThey were amazingly helpful in answering my questions even before we met. The tour is beautiful everywhere you look. If you stay the night, make the choice to eat dinner in the cave. It is nice to sleep in nature. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
We booked a private bathroom and on the first day there was no water. But they refilled it on the second day and it was comfortable.

Verified reviewI love the beautiful swings they have and the nice interior of the main tent. Their food is really nice and it is a good traditional experience. The whole surrounding is just amazing and it is possible to hike around. Really nice staff and they entertained us a lot.

Verified reviewThey had 2 nice swings to enjoy the view of the desert. Offered the 4 hour jeep tour for 35jod per person. Breakfast and dinner were ok.
No electricity and no internet during the day, only after 7pm until early morning. No entertainment in the evening for tourists like local dances, socializing, stories etc... Shared bathrooms were awful. The jeep used was almost the worst seen there :)) Not much guiding on the jeep tour, other tourists were accompanied by their guide with info.

Verified reviewAmazing, peaceful, quiet place giving very authentic desert experience. The camp is located probably in the most beautiful part of Wadi protected area, just next to a magnificent canyon which can be explored daily without a guide. The rooms are good, some with bathrooms and always, hot showers. We probably enjoyed the most the dining room/community area with windows around and most spectacular views of Wadi Rum. The food is great. The jeep tours are probably the same from every camp, very good. Eid, the owner, is really welcomed and helpful and the staff is fantastic. We loved it so much here that we kept expanding our stay and definitely planning to return. Thank you 😊

Verified reviewEid and his hosts were so helpful and hospitable. The food they served was incredible and even more of a treat that we got to watch how it was cooked in its traditional method. The location of this camp is amazing as you are in the middle of the Wadi Rum with the most spectacular views. The cabins themselves are so beautifully decorated with windows that open onto the views. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. An amazing experience with lovely hosts. Definitely go for the bedroom with a private bathroom.
Just having a cleaner duvet! But at the same time, when you’re in the middle of a desert, having anything is luxury. So couldn’t fault it.

Verified reviewSuper friendly staff. Good location. Food was included in the room rate. Amazingly the food was buffet style, absolutely delicious and plenty (Even encouraged us to go up a 2nd and 3rd time for more food). The tour they arranged for me was great. I would be happy to stay again and recommend this place to others :-)

Verified reviewThis camp is located in the middle of the desert and I had a magical stay here. Especially the host and people working in the camp are very friendly and welcoming. I loved the evenings around the fire with tea and long talks. Everyone is very relaxed and open and they share a lot about their culture. The food was perfect!!. It was a very lovely and authentic trip and the best I have experienced so far in Jordan.
