Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was good.
Wonderful experience to sleep in the hills near Little Petra. Tasty local food served in traditional style. Very friendly staff who were happy to help in any way needed. A fantastic way to understand a little more about the Bedouin way of life.

United StatesParking and entering the camp was a little confusing. There’s no cell service in the parking area so you can’t call for assistance. Fortunately we had a local driver and he was able to figure it out.
It was very remote and quiet. It was off season ( February) and we were the only guests. The staff was very friendly and the dinner and breakfast were terrific. It was cold but we were perfectly comfortable in the tent with blankets. The fire and tea in the communal tent just perfect.

The camp is located right next to Little Petra and easy to find. Hot water is available for showering. The dinner is hearty and delicious. The camp is run by Ammarin tribe, so we can truly experience a Bedouin camp. The staffs are very helpful and hospitable. They tried their best to help our car escape from the sand. Additionally, the landscape at night is amazing with a starry sky.

Very nice staff. Great and unique location. Unlike other new facilities in the area, you can touch real baduien hospitality during the stay there. We arrived late when we found one of their staff waiting for us to arrive next to the main road.

RomaniaBathrooms and showers were clean but maybe more attention and more maintenance will help looking even better.
We enjoyed our stay in this Bedouin camp ! By discussions with the host I found out that this is the oldest camp in the area, 22 years old ! (Newer camps have access directly from the road) We were surrendered by mountains - during the day is hot and over the night is cold (1 blanchet is good enough). Sweetened and unsweetened tea is available all time near fire. Dinner is a combination of continental+ Bedouin/arabic dishes with some diversity and plenty quantity. Breakfast is a continental one. Overall nice experience!

United StatesOur stay at Ammarin Bedouin Camp was fabulous! The location is beautiful and private. We loved the experience of staying in a Bedouin camp. We sat in the main Bedouin tent decorated in the traditional rugs and pillows and enjoyed tea by the fire. Afterwards they served us a fabulous dinner. The night was full of stars and eerie noises of the desert. We loved it! Breakfast is also included. If you plan to come, you can arrange with the host to be picked up in a 4x4 truck by the entrance to Petra and be driven right to the camp for a small fee (we paid 10 JD for the ride). They can also take you back in the morning. I would highly recommend this place for those who desire the experience of staying in a Bedouin camp. Our hosts were so friendly and attentive. We are thrilled to have stayed here. Side note: If you come in the winter months, bring a jacket. The desert is surprisingly cold at that time. Enjoy!

Czech RepublicWe had the camp to ourselves with my 12yo son. We enjoyed it a lot. The fun started right upon arrival when our car got stuck in the sand. The owner helped us out of the tricky situation and then provided us with tea, food and all the comforts. Behind the camp, we discovered a sand dune where we had a blast, and the dinner was simply fabulous. Perhaps the best during our entire stay in Jordan. Thank you very much!

United KingdomThe shared shower/toilet block needs updating and maybe extending. The water pressure was also a little variable.
The camp is tucked away behind some hills near Little Petra. You stay in Bedouin style huts with a big communal Bedouin tent for meals. The staff were incredibly welcoming especially Marcella and her Egyptian assistant who are both fantastic. They helped arrange a guided hike to the Monastery from Little Petra and were always keen to help. The communal tent was cosy and authentic and a good place to meet others. As was the fire pit outside.

What a place. The camp is in a beautiful, peaceful, cool, natural rock hollow. Marcella, Eid and the team are really helpful and friendly. At night if you walk a little distance from the camp fire you get a real sky full of stars. Overall a great stay. Also walking distance to little petra which is worth a visit - the the coffee shop at the top of the stairs in little petra is great.

JordanI absolutely love everything about this property. Please support the project and please don't be like other tourist I saw and help pick up your dishes and collaborate in the project as a respectable human being. I love Ammerin community and its people. Most welcoming and loving people I've ever met.
This is a real community based Bedouin Camp, which means it is not only a “place to stay” but a community project which defends and guarantees the rights of the Ammarin tribe to this land. For any conscious traveller out there, I want to say that this is the kind of projects we should all be supporting if we want to see the region strive and prosper in a sustainable and healthy way. Avoid going to the fake, “luxury” hotels in Wadi Mussa and instead give yourself a chance to support something that is worth more than anything else in the world: the preservation of this beautifully land and the culture of the people that have the right to inhabit it.

TurkeyThe tent is not soundproof, and when we wanted to sleep, we were disturbed by the sounds coming from outside.
The camp is located very close to Little Petra and among the hills. It was enjoyable to watch the hills and stars at night. The staff were very polite and helpful, they made us tea by the fire. Normally they make tea with sugar, but when we said we wanted it without sugar, they made it again for us. Moreover, they remembered this and made tea for us for breakfast. We had a traditional meal for dinner. It was an amazing experience for us.
