How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe owner is a strong man, and his family is very welcoming. The hotel is exceptionally clean and modern. The views are wonderful, and the food is both delicious and plentiful. This has definitely been the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Jordan during my holiday.
The route I took to get to the hotel was dangerous. However, this is not the hotel's fault; it's due to Google Maps suggesting a "shorter" route instead of safer alternatives that are available. I recommend asking the owner for some tips on safer ways to get around.
Thank you for everything nice from you. I wish you a happy family life.

Verified reviewThey have built a great structure in the middle of the mountain, very close some secondary unknown hikes that are quite impressive. The building itself is made out of concrete, and it offers some rooms that are modern, big, comfortable, with everything and anything you need, with a good bathroom and hot water. The staff is very welcoming, and take care of you from the moment you arrive. Dinner and breakfast were very very good. We were alone, and we could feel the magic of the place from the very beginning. We had a great pleasant night. I would really recommend.
No Wi-Fi in the room, just in the common areas. This is not a bad thing, it is better to disconnect, and enjoy.

Verified reviewStaff were great, very remote location, great views. Unique setting and very interesting.
The bedroom was cooled by a fan over the bed which made sleep a bit draughty.

Verified reviewIt was our first time in this tiny and cosy place in Wadi Rum. It was very comfortable and clean, and Ali, the owner, and Malibu were perfect hosts. Gentle, friendly, and warm enough that you feel at home
I have nothing in this "didn't like" box to write

Verified reviewLocation of the hotel - when you think you're lost, it's a short walk away. The place is really nice. Free parking in front of the hotel. Rooms large, most with balcony.
Dinner and breakfast are included - both were average.

Verified reviewSince the hotel is practically built into the mountain, there is a gorgeous view of the wadi from the terrace and it is perfect as a base for adventures like hiking and canyoning. Since we had a full moon, it was a lovely and elemental experience to sit outside as the wind picks up at night and illuminates the valley. Dinner and breakfast are served so no worries about organising food. The panoramic road to the hotel is an adventure in itself!
It was my first trip to Jordan and I did not have a lot of time to research hiking routes. Thus, I was hoping to find that info at the Adventure Center = the hotel and either get a map for self-guided walk or book a guided tour right there (as the Wild Jordan website probably gives the contact details of the adventure center). Unfortunately, I was told that the water was too cold for "activities" and could only take a scenic 1h-walk along the back of the hotel (which was nice to enjoy the view by day). However, I am confused if the "activities" referred only to canyoning through a waterfall which requires swimming and the vests which were hanging outside (to dry?) because as I understand it, there are many trails, also a Siq trail where no swimming is required just maybe treading through water (it had not been raining recently, I think, so the water should only be ankle-high, if I understand correctly?). End of October/early November is the time some trails open/close, so maybe I was there at the wrong time of the year... Since it was a very calm and relaxing atmosphere, I would love to be back and hope to do some activities another time of the year!
Thank you for this review. Waiting for you

Rooms have no air-conditioners, - sleepless nights as result. The place is in the middle of nowhere, there's nothing else to do except canyon trail.
