Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesDuring my stay at Anbat Midtown Hotel, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Ammar, who went above and beyond as a host. From the moment I arrived, Ammar’s knowledge of Petra, Wadi Musa, and Jordan was exceptional—he not only picked me up from the bus station but also dropped me off at the end of my stay. He personally arranged and guided me on a breathtaking desert tour, sharing fascinating insights about the local culture, history, and must-see spots in the area. His warmth and dedication made my trip truly special. On a broader note, I want to emphasize how incredibly safe Jordan is, even with the ongoing regional tensions between Iran and Israel, and Israel and Gaza. The people here are exceptionally hospitable, welcoming visitors with open arms. I felt completely at ease at all times. In fact, visiting now—during the low season—has its own advantages: prices are lower, tourist sites are less crowded, and you get to experience the country in a more authentic, peaceful way. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Jordan right now, and if you do, staying at Anbat Midtown Hotel and connecting with Ammar will make your trip unforgettable. 10/10 experience!

I had a wonderful stay at Anbat Midtown Hotel in Petra! Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hospitality was truly exceptional — Ahmad and Ammar were both superb and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Like most hotels in Petra, there is no lift, but there’s really no need to worry — the stairs are few and easy to manage, and Ammar is always ready to help carry your bags upstairs with a smile. Highly recommend this hotel for its warmth, service, and great location!

GreeceThe hotel cannot accommodate persons with mobility disabilities as there is no lift.
A beautiful hotel in the centre of Wadi Musa. Clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated it was a perfect base to explore Petra. It is possible to walk from the hotel to the entrance of Ancient Petra. However Ammar, the hotel owner, offers free transfer to his guests. Ammar is an excellent host, attentive to the smallest detail. Furthermore he is an experienced and very professional tour organizer. As I was traveling alone he offered to arrange my transportation between the border, Petra and Wadi Rum. Thanks to him, my trip (which was organized at the last moment) was smooth, without difficulties and delays.

United KingdomWater wouldn’t always be hot at night for showers but one phone call and they would correct it in minutes. Since the genocide business hasn’t been the same so cutting costs where possible is understandable.
24 hour service, any problems we could get instant response. Very good location, cheap and had all the basics and more. Breakfast was good, never tried lunch. Commute too and from Petra was always quick and never had us waiting, very professional. Big bonus being free from charge also pickup + drop off. Good and genuine people, I highly recommended. Completed laundry for us on very short notice for 15 JOD. Helped made Petra’s stay a lot better

We were very Happy with our stay, Anmar was very attentive and helpful. Room was nice and super clean, we couldn’t choose better! The bed was very comfortable, we almost didn’t want to get up 🤣. Breakfast full of local food - dates, humus, bread, tea …. There are many great restaurants nearby. Petra is 15 minutes by walk. We already miss Petra and Wadi Musa and will definitely be back in this hotel next year.

ItalyWe had a truly special stay at this family-run hotel in Petra. From the very beginning, we felt warmly welcomed—just like being at home. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive, always going the extra mile. When they found out it was my mother’s birthday, they surprised us with a cake and a little celebration—such a thoughtful gesture that we’ll never forget. The hotel itself is in great condition: clean, well-kept, and cozy. The owner takes the time to explain all the different activities you can do in the area, which made our experience even richer and more personal. I also want to emphasize how safe and welcoming Jordan is. Despite being close to the Israeli border, we always felt completely secure and comfortable. The people here are truly wonderful—warm, respectful, and always ready to help. Petra is a magical place, and staying at this hotel made it even more unforgettable. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
