Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryI had an incredible stay at Petra Cabin Hostel and can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and always available to assist with local recommendations, directions, or even just a warm smile. The cabins are thoughtfully designed—compact yet cozy, clean, and surprisingly comfortable. Each cabin offers enough privacy for a restful sleep, and the shared spaces are well-maintained and inviting. The hostel has a calm and peaceful atmosphere, perfect after a long day exploring Petra. One of the biggest highlights was the location. Just minutes away from the Petra Visitor Center, it made getting to and from the archaeological site extremely convenient. Plus, the hostel offers great views of the surrounding mountains, especially at sunrise and sunset. The value for money is outstanding. The amenities, cleanliness, location, and hospitality far exceeded my expectations for the price. There’s also a great communal vibe that makes it easy to meet other travelers if you’re looking for a social experience. Overall, Petra Cabin Hostel is a hidden gem. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a group of friends, it’s a perfect base for visiting Petra. I would absolutely stay here again!

United StatesI had an incredible experience at Petra Cabin Hostel! The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming — they truly made me feel at home. From helping with local tips to arranging transport and meals, they went above and beyond. The location is ideal — just a short walk from Petra’s entrance, which made it super convenient to get an early start. The capsule cabins were clean, cozy, and private, with charging ports, lights, and curtains for a great night’s sleep. One of the best surprises was the food. The dinner was freshly prepared and delicious, offering a taste of local Jordanian flavors. I also appreciated the packed lunch box they offered for Petra hikes — generous portions, healthy options, and super convenient for a full day of exploring. The bathrooms and common areas were spotless, and breakfast was tasty and filling with a good mix of options. I also enjoyed the relaxed, social vibe in the lounge where travelers gathered to share stories. Fantastic, kind staff Clean, modern capsules Delicious dinner & handy lunch boxes Excellent location Great value for money I’d highly recommend Petra Cabin Hostel to anyone visiting the area — it was one of the best parts of my Jordan trip!

New ZealandPetra Cabin Hostel is the best accommodation for solo travelers. The location is 5 minutes from the Petra visitor center and within the shopping district. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was safe, internet and shower worked, and the bed was perfect after a day of hiking. The value of this spot is really worthwhile, because of how central and capsule-like it was. I really enjoyed my time in Petra and would highly recommend Petra Cabin Hostel.

United StatesNothing. All good.
Great location! Something like a 10 minute walk to both the Jett bus station and the entrance to Petra. Very clean and comfy. Big shared area. Great breakfast and dinner buffet at a reasonable price. The beds are large and have comfy bedding. There's a plastic accordion curtain that closes your bed and gives you privacy. Everyone was really quiet and I slept well.

United StatesHands down the comfiest bed I’ve slept in at a hostel. I was having issues booking a Jett bus back to Amman and the owner called the Jett office and their system was down so that was nice of him to check on that for me. The only down side was I had Luke warm water when I took a shower

Has a free car park right next to it. You can have a breakfast or dinner upon request. You have everything you need if you visiting Petra for couple days.

ChileHonestly, there’s nothing we didn’t like.
This is one of the hostels I’ve enjoyed the most in my traveling life. I loved the location; it’s an easy walk to the tourist information center where the Petra canyon begins. The view is spacious and bright, and there are plenty of couches to relax, chat, and connect with others. The owner and staff are incredibly kind, and from the very first day, I felt warmly welcomed and well cared for. The small cave-like rooms are very cozy, and sleeping there felt great. My mom and I truly appreciated it, especially because the owner made sure we were comfortable. The bathrooms are quite spacious, the showers are good, the internet worked very well, and the breakfast was delicious. We left with a very positive impression of the place.

SerbiaEverything was perfect!
This hostel was amazing! Actually it's a big spacious area with spacious cabins, I felt absolutely comfortable in my cabin, easily 3 ppl could fit in, mattress was comfy, you get small locker and absolute privacy just for yourself. Common areas like bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and well maintained (we all know how hard is that in hostel!), whole Petra Cabin Hostel has a peaceful home vibe. I met 2 women and 2 men who work there and everyone was kind, helpful and welcoming. This hostel is also strategically located near Petra visitor center, just 3 minutes walk, as well as near JETT bus stop. I forgot my phone charger, they saved it for me, and even let me stay for few hours in living room, after I returned from Wadi Rum and needed a place to check in for my next day flights and wait for a JETT bus to Amman. Highly appreaciated, thank you so much!

… If you want a very beautiful social experience then you are at the right place. They make sure that everything is completely comfortable, the cabin are clean and the people there were so nice. The staff were so nice especially safaa (am not sure if I am spelling it right) and normal ( also she has such an awesome music taste). The hostel has multiple shared spaces to relax and share good vibes, these spaces were the best in Petra that I have tried, and the price is so good. The place was so good that I might just consider to comeback to Jordan to visit and stay with them only. Thank you for creating such a place…
