Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe bed was too high. My husband is a cancer patient and found it difficult to lift his leg so high. The staff member did provide us with a stool and this made vital easier. I was not impressed with the sauna, no timer in the saucer and no locker provided to put my belongings away. The steam room was not working and the cold plunge pool was warm with no jets jacuzzi jets working.
Staff very helpful.

JamaicaI went to breakfast on my last day there, returned to the room long before checkout time but the key card was deactivated and I could not get into the room to finish packing my suitcase. The card was eventually reactivated, however the experience made me feel that the hotel was sending a message: "your money is almost finished, please leave". I was not pleased.
Staff were pleasant, polite and helpful.

United StatesNeed more Jamaican/Caribbean cuisine, more freshly made local drinks and not the syrup stuff. All the restaurants should acknowledge special occasions and treat the celebrant to something simple. While the photo shoot was great, it wasn't value for money....the price was quite ridiculous $190 for 10 photos sent digitally and 5 of those printed. Would ve nice if the 5 printed were not of those 10 selected...I felt cheated in that regard. I would not recommend. The couples massage as well was quite pricy $391 and although it was good it's not worth the price. I wouldn't recommend this either. Anything between 260- 300 would have been an appropriate value but almost $400 is BIG NO.
Our stay at Sandals Ochi has been amazing. We were able to dine at most of the restaurants at The Rivera and 3 on the hill. Breajkast at Sky Vista was extensive and lovely every morning. Special thanks to Taneesia, Restaurant Manager and her team at Vista Sky for making me feel extra special on my birthday. Dominique, Ladona, Alando and Jadday were always quite pleasant and very helpful. Same for Marlon who served us at Valentinos. Special thanks to the front desk and room service team who were able to accommodate us on Tuesday night when my husband was not feeling well enough to go out to eat. The nightly entertainment was been amazing and full of energy only thing tho is in the beach bar ... I didn't hear much caribbean music, no Bob Marley the 3 nights we went ... I actually had to go up to the DJ and ask then i got a few. The swim up pools were amazing and the pool activities were fun. Thanks to Alya and the young man for my photo shoot. LOVED IT. Thanks to the team at Red Lane Spa for our relaxing couples message.

JamaicaThe rooms are truly outdated. When we arrived the toilet kept running and the shower was so old. They fixed the toilet but obviously nothing could be done otherwise. Ideally we would’ve wanted to take a couples bath but the tub is so narrow that even showering together was uncomfortable. The bed was not the best, frames are old so a lot creaking noises. Compared to other sandals this one can park until they renovate
We loved our 3 night stay here as locals. The food was excellent, the manor and jerk shack is on point with their rendition of Jamaican food. The staff were helpful and willing to make the stay even more comfortable. I want to say a special thank you to Aaliyah at the front desk, horatio who catered to us during breakfast, devern and kerene who served us for lunch and big up Miguel and Christopher on the grill my husband says it was the best pork he had in the longest while. This sandals has the best beach for sure. If the sun wasn’t so hot we could live out there lol.

United Kingdom2 hour car journey from Kingston Airport but guess that can’t be helped. Rooms require investment & upgrade. Due to maintenance issues (water from ceiling, air conditioning not working & soaking floors due to condensation build up), we had to move rooms twice. The third room was ok but this all took unnecessary time out of our holiday to resolve.
Restaurant food to order standard was very good. All inclusive water sports & no need to book, just first gone first served basis was great.

Trinidad and TobagoPick Up from Room to Lobby especially at nights was not efficient consistently. Pick up from the airport to Ochi left much to be desired - an old van. That was certainly not in keeping with the Sandals Brand
Breakfast was quite good. Better quality of Banana should be offered. I felt very good with the recognition of my 70th Birthday, as the bed was nicely decorated with Birthday balloons and I received Champagne and Cake. Yes that helped in making my birthday memorable.

United KingdomRestaurants weren’t exactly fine dining including the ones with a dress code. Food was good but not wow. Many bars ran out of triple sec needed for margaritas. Too much loud techno beat music for us. The main pools were very raucous at times. There are silent pools but they are a bit too silent with no bar. We would prefer something in between.
Even the cheapest room was very nice, peaceful and comfortable and closer to the beach than the posher rooms with butlers. Everything was very efficient and well organised. Staff were very friendly. Water so clear and beautiful and enjoyed the included snorkelling trip. Enormous resort so lots of options where to eat or drink. The Speakeasy bar was great with singers there and the Latitudes bar surrounded by the sea. Organised trips also good. Airport transfer extremely smooth.

United StatesThe food was not good, some not well cooked. The staff did not take our bags to the room. There was not an elevator in that hotel. For some restaurants, we had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated.

Trinidad and TobagoThe rooms was scored at 4, since the Riviera building on the sea side of the resort could use a little maintenance the carpets in some areas a really poor. Dining was scored at a 4, since the wait time at some restaurants were in excess of an hour. The main Pool on the Hillside needs a little maintenance and the water was a little cloudy.
However over all this was my first experience at sandals and it was a wonderful one at that. the property was amazing. the staff was always warm and helpful. i would like to mention some persons who made my stay extra special. Andrew the piano player Kemoy My taxi driver who picked us up from the airport. I will be back at another sandals in the near future.

United KingdomSome of the staff really let the others down. The customer service was lacking and the huffing and shoulder shrugs was a put off. Service inthe restaurant was hit and miss last night waited 50 mins no one came to ask use for drinks so kept having to go to the bar ourselves. This was a a tread through out the stay in the restaurants No clear signs for events yes you have the app but I don’t spend my holiday in the phone . Hot water was hit and miss, air con leaked in to the room. Bathroom /room was not of a five star standard. Bathroom mirror had come off and been out back up with a plank dresser was all marked, carpet wasn’t brilliant, balcony wall broken at Base.
The layout, gardens and the little bucks for seating areas. Oh and the lovely beach and pools Beach staff were great
