Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomI bumped my head in the layout of the shower cubicle. The shower cubicle could have been presented in a cleaner manner. We could have been left a stack of towel for our 1 week stay. I felt embarrassed having to ask for towels. The state of the towels ought to be revised.

United Kingdomthe property needs a re-paint and it was really hard to use the bathroom because it was so small the air unit need to renewed as it makes a loud ticking sound when it is turning on and off. I asked for the fridge to be cleaned and this is what the lady said she cleaned I had to do it myself
the bed was comfortable the owner are nice people I just needs the place need a little more love but and more modern furniture this will help maxismes space.

United KingdomThe shower could have been a bit bigger. The room was not cleaned or the bedding changed for the whole duration of my 12 night stay. On at least 2 occasions the hot dog bread for breakfast was partly raw. There was no window in the room and therefore no view. Couldn't tell if it was night or day without opening the door.
The welcome was excellent. The breakfast was good for the first 3/4 days and then it went downhill. I think that the owners mean well but maybe the staff needs some training or retraining.

United KingdomTV was down for 3 days, Mrs Spenser and her husband though, was very hands on in trying to fix the problem and did eventually fix it on the 4th day.
I did not stay at the Barbican bed and breakfast . When I arrived the owner,Mrs Spencer upgraded me to a one bedroom apartment, short distance from the B and B due to the AC in the B and B not working. The apartment was lovely, clean, spacious,comfortable. Facilities -gym,swimming pool and laundry area. Walking distance to restaurant and supermarket , I also extended my stay to a further 3 nights.
