Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

A Dream Stay at Villa Tuzzo – Pure Magic! Our stay at Villa Tuzzo was nothing short of magical. Nestled in beauty and rich with history, every moment of our three-day stay felt like a dream. The property, lovingly renovated by Patricia—whose warmth and hospitality made the experience even more special—was originally purchased by her grandfather in 1945. His dream to create a place of timeless beauty has truly come to life, with no detail overlooked. The rooms were pristine and stylishly updated, blending modern comfort with charming heritage. Patricia has carefully preserved her grandfather’s antiques, which are thoughtfully placed throughout the villa, giving the space an authentic and elegant feel. Each morning, breakfast was served on the veranda overlooking the lush gardens and serene pool. Fresh vegetables grown right on the property added a beautiful touch. But what made the mornings truly special were the conversations with Patricia—hearing her stories and learning about her family’s history brought the whole place to life. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the spacious terrace and sparkling pool added to the sense of luxury and relaxation. Staying at Villa Tuzzo fulfilled every part of my dream of living in an Italian villa. We’ll carry these memories with us forever.

The location was a perfect base for all things in the south. The room and facilities were incredible- welcoming and authentic and really felt like a haven. We booked one night and stayed three. Most importantly, the host asked us to join her and her friends for Easter celebrations- that kind of hospitality is 10/10 and we really enjoyed getting to know her and her friends. Lastly the fresh organic fruit growing on site for breakfast was fantastic. Would definitely go back.

CanadaWe loved the Villa and Beatrice was so helpful in suggesting great restaurants and sights around the area. This is a wonderful place to stay and you feel you are in the country. It is quiet and the gardens and grounds are so beautiful. They gave us freshly squeezed blood orange juice one morning from the garden and so delicious. Free parking and a secure gated property. Breakfast was superb and defiantly recommend it. We will be back!

United StatesNot really sure there is anything. Even the breakfast couldn't be better.
Beatrice, an incredible host and concierge went over and above to help with reservations, directions, support and suggestions and when we needed to extend our stay because we lost track of time, worked to get us rebooked in another room. The pool, although cold during our visit was always clean, and comfortable to hang out around with nice music. The lemon, lime, orange, etc trees made it smell so amazing. I hate writing about this gem because it will be tough to get a reservations the next time I come back to visit!

SwitzerlandWe recently stayed at Villa Tuzzo in Lecce for five nights and had a wonderful experience. Our room was nicely decorated, comfortable, and well-equipped. The villa itself feels like an oasis; it is an old, beautifully decorated property surrounded by beautiful grounds. Despite nearby streets, we hardly noticed any traffic noise, it was not disturbing at all. The location was very convenient. Being close to the highway made it easy to reach both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts for visits to various beaches. It’s also close enough to the city center, which you can reach by car or bicycle. Breakfast was nice, and while we didn’t use the pool, it looked very inviting. Beatrice, our host, was exceptionally friendly and wonderful. She was always available, and if she wasn’t on-site, we could easily reach her via WhatsApp. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

United StatesThis property is an absolute gem! A walled oasis just outside of the old city, the villa is beautifully appointed with unusual antiques and tasteful furnishings. Our room had a four poster bed and a stunning terrace overlooking the grounds. The breakfast was exceptional and we spent one afternoon unable to pull ourselves away from the pool. We didn't want to leave! Best of all, Beatrice is a charming hostess and does an outstanding job making her guests feel appreciated and at home.

Everything! Beatrice is an amazing hostess, and the villa has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard with love and attention to detail. Nothing is too much trouble for her guests, from milk for our tea to sending me a shirt back I left behind by accident. The villa is spotless, and the pool and grounds are well kept. Near to lecce, 10 minute drive into town. I would strongly recommend this to anyone.

IrelandThere was nothing we didn't like.
Our wonderful hosts, Beatrice and Tommaso, ensured that we felt completely at home in the beautifully restored Villa Tuzzo. We were so pleased to spend the final days of our holiday at this exceptional property. It is well located, with easy access from the road network, while also being close to the historic centre of the romantic city of Lecce. After a marvellous breakfast, the pool is the perfect place to relax in the well maintained gardens. The Villa Tuzzo has only recently begun to receive guests, but the wonderful hospitality is guaranteed to ensure its success. You should book it while it is still a relatively unknown treasure. You won't regret it.
