How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We found it difficult to connect to the WiFi at first due to an incomplete password on the card in the room but this was quickly sorted by the owner who was very helpful.
Lovely little place with just a few rooms located near the Vatican. Spacious room and large comfy bed. Cleaner in every day to make the beds and clean the room. Breakfast is on a self service basis with good choice and excellent selection of tea's. Quiet location.

The location is perfect, the place is kept very clean, and the facilities provided (including a kettle, some table ware, options for tea, coffee, juices, snacks) are thoughtful and were much appreciated. We also very much appreciated the place's proximity to the Metro station during the time we were there. Alessandro also kindly let us keep our bags after check out. All in all, a wonderful stay with a wonderful host.

Everything was absolutely wonderful ❤️ The owner was extremely helpful, very welcoming, very clean, with a great location, his recommendations for restaurants were absolutely excellent . We had a truly wonderful stay at this apartment in the Vatican area. The location is absolutely perfect — just a short walk from the Vatican and very well connected to the rest of Rome. The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot days! A special thank you to Alessandro, the host, who was incredibly kind, helpful, and attentive. His engagement and care made us feel genuinely welcome and well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome!

Our stay at the Vatication apartment was truly excellent! The location is perfect – right next to the Vatican, a great base for exploring Rome. Communication with the host was outstanding – very friendly, helpful, and always available. We received all the necessary information promptly, and even got great recommendations for local restaurants – all of them spot-on! The apartment was clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped – everything you need for a short or long stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, the coffee machine was a nice touch, and the Italian-style breakfasts added to the authentic feel. Starting the day with aromatic coffee was a real treat. A huge plus was the possibility to leave our luggage after check-out – we had a late flight and were able to enjoy our last day in Rome without stress. I highly recommend this apartment – comfortable, perfectly located, and with exceptional service!

The bed could have been more comfortable.
Fantastic location! Responsive and welcoming hosts! The room was well appointed, and the stocked refrigerator and breakfast items were an especially nice touch. Was great for my wife and me and our oldest daughter.
