How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

Verified reviewLiterally everything. Location was great and the house set on the hill with amazing views 🤩 Inside the house all we needed was available. Really well equipped kitchen annex, if you decide to cook for yourself. Air conditioner in every room. Additional toilet upstairs. All the house shining clean. A wonderful host, who for us was Benedetta. Met us at the parking spot and took us to the property, helping even to carry one of the bags. (She insisted 🙂)
There was absolutely nothing to dislike. But I'll mention here a few things which I think are worth knowing beforehand. (Sorry if someone mentioned it before but I can't read all the reviews) Firstly from the nearest parking spot/bus stop is about 150 steps up, most really steep. The bus isn't very regular from there, but Scala bus stop is about a mile away. (1.5km) and more frequent. The reason I mentioned the bus is that, I personally do not recommend driving around by car (especially hired) as it's high risk of being scratched 🤣 Nearest beach in Amalfi is about 1.5 miles (2.3km), and 400m descent by approximately 1600 steps 😉 if you like walking.

Verified reviewThe little tower of Minuta is a beautiful, well equipped home with all the amenities. It's about 10 minutes to Ravello, and 25 to the center of Amalfi. The view from the property is stunning. The home has lovely gardens. Beatrice was extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
The only thing that was a little difficult for me was all the stairs you have to climb to get into the property. This is not a problem for most people, but if you have bad knees or mobility issues, this is not the place for you

Verified reviewThe place was fantastic, with a great view both from inside and outside. Truly, very few things can compare to this view. We stayed in a part of the building with our own terrace and garden, which felt secluded and lovely. Everything you could imagine needing was included. In our case, the kitchen with all the necessary equipment was essential so that we could cook. A washing machine, air conditioning, a small separate desk, an extremely comfortable bed, and tasteful interior design — everything was there. The location is not in a touristy area, which made it feel more like home. If you have a car, this is not a problem at all. The long staircase was a nice bit of exercise every day, so we didn’t mind it. The biggest plus, however, was how attentive and caring the owners were. They helped us with luggage, arranged parking permissions, provided information on local attractions, and always responded to our messages immediately. To summarise, it’s a perfect place to stay in an extremely beautiful, functional, and comfortably isolated setting.

Verified reviewBeautiful rental home, with an adjoining apartment which we also rented for family. The views over Ravello and the sea are breathtaking and none of our photos really do it justice! Benedetta, who greeted us on our arrival, was lovely - friendly, helpful and super responsive to any questions we had during our stay. The apartment itself was spacious, light and lovingly restored to its current high and comfortable standard, and had everything we could need while we were there. The steps to get to the apartment - plenty of them (!) kept us fit and would not stop us booking again; we certainly will. Also well worth a mention is the little (historic and pretty) town of Scala, and the restaurant in the central square called Ristorante dei Cavalieri which was fantastic - there are several restaurants in Scala, but this was a favourite for us. We would highly and happily recommend a stay at the little tower of Manuta - really great find!
Absolutely nothing!

Verified reviewTwo Words: Stay Here! You won't regret it. As others have mentioned, it is quite the hike up a very steep hill to get to this place in the neighborhood of Minuta, the hamlet of Scala, overlooking Ravello and the ocean. Incredible views of the ocean, but you cannot walk there so if you want a spot right on the ocean this place is not for you. However, if you want million dollar views, surrounded by fruit and olive trees at one of the highest spots in Scala, then this place is for you!. There is parking nearby and we never had a problem finding a spot. The room came with TWO private terraces plus a covered outdoor eating areas and the same gorgeous views from our room window as we got from the terraces. The hostess was extremely helpful, even helped us with our luggage up the flights of stairs. If you have a car, which we recommend for driving around the amalfi coast, then this would be a stunning place to enjoy your time if you like privacy, and views for miles.

Verified reviewFirst of all I would like to mention the owner, Benedetta, and the effort she put in to make our stay comfortable and smooth. She helped us with our luggage up the steps, made sure we were aware of everything and promptly messaged back if I had any question regarding the area or the property or even regarding buses etc. She was lovely and for that reason, a massive thank you for helping my friend and I on our first girls break away. It couldn’t have been better! Secondly, the property itself is beautifully designed, simple and spacious with the authenticity of the area. It sits on top of a hill showcasing a spectacular panoramic view of the town of Ravello and is tucked away allowing that extra bit of privacy. It has a terrace and garden area for evenings/ mornings and sunbathing. It’s equipped with all necessary kitchen and bathroom facilities. Comfortable bed, TV, towels, washing machine in which she left us cleaning supplies as well and the building itself is modern and minimalistic. The area (Minuta) felt safe to us, and the locals are all very lovely and welcoming, even when walking back late at night we never worried (coming from 2 girls) about the streets or alleyways as the area is quiet. Overall we had fantastic trip staying in this property and would definitely recommend to stay here. It’s a beautiful place and this property elevates that so much.
This isn’t a criticism just a warning to anyone who struggles with walking. There are I want to say approx. 120-140 steps that lead to the property and another incline walk if you need to go to Scala bus stop. This was okay for the most part for us but anyone who struggles with mobility or fatigue I would not recommend as peak heat during the day climbing those steps can be very difficult.

Verified reviewWe recently had the pleasure of staying at the Little Tower of Minuta, located in the scenic heights near Ravello on the stunning Amalfi Coast. Although reaching the property involves navigating about 130 steps and a brief walk, the effort is very well rewarded. The house itself is recently renovated, and very beautiful, with a décor that perfectly complements its historic charm. The panoramic views of Ravello, the beautiful Amalfi Coast whit its small villages and the shimmering Mediterranean Sea are truly breathtaking and offer an wonderful experience. The property is very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, with a lovely musical atmosphere and attention to detail. The owners are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to ensure a memorable visit, adding a personal touch that really makes a difference. This stay stands out as one of the best experiences we've had in Italy, a country we've explored extensively. For those willing to walk the steps, the Little Tower of Minuta is a highly recommended stay to experience the beauty of the Amalfi Coast.

Verified reviewIt was incredible beautiful. We wanted to say longer. Next time we will definitely book and stay at the little tower. Benedetta was so lovely and always there for us. The only thing missing was maybe an extra blanket for using it outside so you can sit longer on the beautiful terrace at night time and some candles. Also for sleeping some real blankets would be great. Otherwise all perfect. We loved it!!!

Verified reviewWe had a terrific time in these days in Amalfi. The host was very friendly and accommodating. Thanks to comfortable terraces and garden overlooking the sea.We are really happy about the accommodation especially the yard. It was a very good place for our dog to run around. We had a wonderful time there.
However climbing 130 steps up to such a location contributes to its charm.

Verified reviewI loved everything about my stay. The property was situated among the iconic terraced gardens of the Amalfi Coast, offered an amazing view of the sea and of Ravello, included a relaxing outdoor area, and was a short walk to the center of Scala. The place felt like home- it had everything that I needed, and the hosts went out of their way to make me and my dogs feel comfortable and welcome. Verified reviewThe view was breathtaking, the house was modern and lovely, we loved everything about it. I did not realize that you have 130 steps and more walking just to get home. I saw in the comments but thought only if you don't have a car. But it turns out even if you have a car you have to walk because cars can't get near to the house, if you are there, you'll understand why. This was not a problem for us, but I can imagine for some it could be.
There was a musty/moldy smell at the second floor in the house, which could be a problem to people who are allergic to it.
