Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing at all. Except maybe wish we’d stayed there for a few months.
Not enough space to write what was good about this place! Everything was exceptional. We were dubious as the place had a rating of 10 and I didn’t think that was realistic but it really is a tranquil oasis in the heart of Sorrento. The cooking school was incredible, and the gardens, pool and service (attention to detail) all great. Proper family run business and we loved it.

United KingdomLiterally nothing - only that we had to leave!
I have honestly never stayed in a nicer accommodation. The garden was absolutely exquisite, the pool was the perfect place to retreat after a hot venture around Sorrento, the breakfast was incredible and the room was perfect with all of its beautiful original features! We were so well looked after by Giuseppe and his family. I read all the other perfect reviews on here and wondered if they were fake before visiting this place but I cannot describe how wonderful this visit was. I was so so sad to leave. You will not regret staying here.

United KingdomIt truly is all perfect. The only thing we didn’t like was having to leave!
All of it. Most beautiful room, gardens are stunning. Mumma’s breakfast was SO delicious every morning - sat in the middle of paradise eating the lovely home made goodness. The house is central enough to walk everywhere but you seem to be in an oasis all of your very own once you walk through the gate! The pool was a perfect touch on the long hot days to come back home and float about. This truly is a perfect location and I can not imagine anybody could ever have any complaints or regrets staying here! Giuseppe was the PERFECT host, he booked taxi’s, restaurants and gave fantastic recommendations. Nothing was ever too much. He was the perfect blend of attentive and available without being intrusive. He seems to be the backbone of the business and does a fantastic job keeping everything running smoothly and ensuring everybody is happy. Beautiful family dog will pop out to say hello too 😍 Their home made wine was a perfect way to cool down in the shade also! The father is often seen tending to the garden keeping everything tidy and it pays off! We booked on for a cooking class with Angelo - SO much fun! He has a wonderful, relaxing and welcoming personality. He taught us how to create the most beautiful meatballs and home made spaghetti all while having great fun. Would definitely book in again when we come back. Can highly recommend Cafe Latino in town if you are looking for a comfortable shady spot to drink some lovely wine or frozen cocktails (perfect in the heat!). A secret garden bar with very friendly staff and plenty of comfortable spots to watch the world go by.

Lidia B&B is a truly amazing place to stay. The accommodation is very comfortable, quiet, and perfect for relaxation. The beautiful garden adds to the peaceful atmosphere and helped me unwind completely — everything I needed for a restful holiday. The location is also excellent — close to everything you might need, yet tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. It’s the perfect base for exploring the area. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely cared for. Giuseppe was incredibly welcoming and always available to help with anything we needed. Whether it was local tips, arranging taxis, or answering questions, he responded quickly and kindly, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights of our visit was the cooking class. I had the chance to learn how to make fresh Italian pasta with Chef Angelo. It was such a fun and memorable experience, and the food we made together was delicious. Lidia B&B offers more than just a place to sleep — it provides a warm and personal experience where guests are truly looked after. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful, and welcoming place to stay in a great location, this is the perfect choice. Grazie ancora e a presto!

United StatesOnly that we didn’t stay longer.
WOW, where to begin, simply stated the Suite Lidia was amazing. My wife and I have been very fortunate to have been able to travel quite a bit in these past 15 years and we have never stayed in a better place in all those experiences. Let’s begin with the staff, Angelo, Giuseppe, Maria and Genaro could not have been more accommodating. Anything you needed was provided with a smile. In Sorrento you are in the land of lemons and the garden which Genaro meticulously manicures on a daily basis was full of lemon, olive and orange trees. Visually spectacular setting. The Suite Lidia is comprised of three units in a secure and gated area. The units are spaced out so they are all secluded from each other making this a very quiet location. Breakfast was provided and you choose the time and They will have everything you could want waiting and ready including Maria’s daily home made surprises. Lastly the room was clean, comfortable and as I stated extremely quiet. Also if you have the time do yourself a favor and take a cooking class with Angelo, a young man wise beyond his years, it was by far the best meal we have had on our trip thus far.

Giuseppe and his lovely parents make you feel very much at home, and every morning they put on an amazing breakfast. The location is brilliant, everything is close by and Sorrento makes the perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast and Capri, Giuseppe provides great advice and insight to what’s around.

United KingdomIt was all perfect.
The suite is situated in the most beautiful grounds with plentiful lemon trees and a gorgeous pool. It is a peaceful haven in a prime location near the marina, town centre and all the lovely restaurants and bars. The accommodation itself is perfect. So clean and well laid out and the breakfast was delicious. What sets this accommodation apart is the first class service from Giuseppe and his family who are the most wonderful hosts, booking excursions and restaurants for us, nothing was too much trouble.

CanadaWe have to say without a doubt this is the nicest B&B we have ever stayed in. The garden and the grounds were absolutely stunning with orange and lemon trees scattered amongst palm trees. We walked leisurely along the paths through the park like grounds. There was a pool Situated next to the breakfast area, and there was a small pond with Koi. Giuseppe was so accommodating and was always there to help us with anything we needed. You recommended a fantastic restaurant. We took in the cooking class one evening, which I highly recommend. This is a family business, and the pride of ownership comes through and every smallest detail. We were honoured to stay there.

United StatesMaria Grazia and family have the most serene, loving and beautiful B&B. When you arrive, you are greeted with such kindness. And then, just like that, you get swept up in the tranquility of the garden. Its beautiful design, care, and atmosphere will make you want to create a form of it in your own yard. The incredible meals you eat are from plants grown here. The lemon cello is also made here. It is so divine, plan on taking some home. A lot of it home. 😀 The pool allows an escape from the heat. It’s private and a nice escape from the crowded tourist groups. The room is wonderful quality , spacious and cozy. The cooking school is a true experience. My husband couldn’t stop grinning from the wonderful “chef” education/experience taught by Angelo. If you want to learn the art of making authentic Italian pasta, Angelo is your man. And it’s easy! But now we get to the best part…. Stop and take time to speak with Maria Grazia, granddaughter of Lidia. (Suite Lidia…a tribute to her). Maria Grazia has a genuine interest in making you part of this incredible family. Although we do not share the same language, and speak little of each other’s, her true kindness and compassion allows you to understand what she is saying. She is a very special person, along with the beautiful family that surrounds her.

United KingdomOur stay here has been beautiful. It has been an Italian fairytale. As soon as you enter, you are greeted by the most impressive, impeccable gardens in the whole of Sorrento, with Chickens and Turtles. They are well taken care of by the family who runs this fabulous B&B. The Family are passionate about their B&B and looking after their customers. They helped us find the best places to visit, brought us snacks, made the most delicious breakfast, made reservations for us and made us feel extremely welcome. The room its self is traditional, with a modern bathroom. It has lots of space. It was clean, had really good AC, an extremely comfortable bed and was perfect. The poolside was lovely as it was quiet and tranquil and is perfect for a dip to cool down. Its location is central and is in the old town. It is close to the main high street, the Marina Grande and Ferries.

AustraliaWe were genuinely blown away by our stay at suite Lidia. It was by far the BEST accommodation we have ever stayed in, and we will reminisce about our wonderful experience for many years to come. Our suite was just perfect in every way. It was immaculately clean with a big comfortable bed, a renovated bathroom, large shower, mini bar, flat screen tv and everything we needed. We especially loved the uniquely tiled ceiling, and the hand painted glass window in the bathroom! Our suite was surrounded by gardens which were just incredible. Every corner we turned we found something wonderful to look at. The flowers, the lemon trees, the shrubs, the lights, the pool, the chickens and the cute baby turtles! It was all just so magical and the attention to detail was impeccable. We were treated to a delicious breakfast every morning - a great selection of foods and drinks. Not to mention the best homemade croissants I have ever tasted. The property was a great location, just a short walk to the restaurants & shops and also the bus stop/marina/port. Special shout out to Angelo, such a friendly and vibrant person – he was so helpful and really understood us. He really made our stay memorable with his humour and we just wished we had time to attend his cooking class. We are hoping to do this next time we visit 😊 Finally, we would like to thank Giuseppe who was just the perfect host - he was so gracious and so helpful in every way. He really went above and beyond to accommodate our ad-hoc requests and made us feel so welcome. He even offered to pack us some fruit for our journey home, as we had an early departure flight. What a wonderful family, we cannot thank you and your family enough for making our stay in Sorrento so memorable and so unique.

Suite Lidia is an Oasis in the middle of Sorrento. Beautiful lush landscaped garden with a pool. The hosts were exceptional and nothing was a problem for them. Absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was also fabulous. I honestly couldnt believe the selection laid out was just for two of us. Giuseppe went out of his way to accommodate gluten-free products for breakfast for my husband. I am truly grateful. Thank you. I have stayed at a number of places in Italy and this ranks in my top 3. Honestly, I didnt expect it to live up to the reviews and images as I tend to take some of them with a pinch of salt. Well it did live up to the reviews AND it exceeded my expectations.

The suite is located in the most beautiful, peaceful gardens. The accommodation was comfortable and spotless. Nothing was too much trouble for Giuseppe and his family.
