Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Such a good experience. The hotel picked us up at the train station and gave us some good tips for getting around the area and local restaurant recommendations. The room was amazing with seaside views, great pool, relaxed vibe. The hotel is in the hills, surrounded by olive and citrus. It’s a lovely walk into the town, where you go past local churches and have amazing views of the area as you head into Sorrento

United KingdomCouldn't fault it.
Wow - what an amazing place with stunning views overlooking the bay towards Naples and Vesuvius. Lovely room with a balcony and kitchen and a good size fridge. Air con was very efficient on the room and the pool was a saviour to come back to each day before we re-located to the rooftop terrace for sunset. Our host, Antonino looked after us so well, providing great communication prior to, and on our arrival. He also booked a couple of boat trips for us during our stay and always there if we needed any assistance.

AustriaIt will be difficult to top this experience for other locations in the future :-)
The panoramic view from the apartments balcony is absolutely GORGEOUS! Most spectacular sunsets ever seen with the bay of Naples and the vesuvius in front. The rooms are very tastefully furnished in local regional amalfi style. The garden with olive trees and amalfi lemons gives a wunderfull climate and completes the feeling of the italian way of living. Thank you Gilberto for the very nice stay at Sorrento Olive Garten, it was one of the best experiences we ever had. You are very nice host and have made a great location here. We will return for sure!

United KingdomWhilst the location was very quiet and had fantastic views it was a 30 minute walk down a very steep path to get into Sorrento. There were apparently 2 buses that went to and from Sorrento and stopped near the property, however their timetables were erratic and often unreliable, which we understand the property had no control over.
A fantastic property with amazing views of Sorrento and Vesuvius. Beautiful apartment, swimming pool and gardens and a fantastic rooftop terrace. Antonino and the team made us feel very welcome and were very friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the property, the transport was great to get to the hotel as it is quite high up which is something to know, it took around 40 minutes to hike to the hotel from the main time but this was not something we minded.
The property was gorgeous the view from the property was amazing. The hotel itself was very nice and private. We loved our stay here and would 100% recommended this to anyone. We wanted to make a special mention to the amazing staff at the Sorrento Olive Tree Garden they were incredible. Especially Antonino, he was the by far the best member of hotel staff we have ever seen at any hotel. He was so friendly and welcoming, this included picking us up from the bus station when we arrived in Sorrento. He was very informative and a great person all round. He was available if we had any questions at any time. Having a members of staff like this just make your stay even better than it already would have been.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the property. If there was anything I would suggest it would be maybe softer beds but if you like a firmer bed then this is no problem for you.
The property was always very clean and the location which is set in the hills meant that the views were ‘out of this world’ overlooking the bay of Sorrento. The pictures shown are exactly what it is like. It is set a good 20mins away from the main part of Sorrento but once you figure out the buses which are only 2 euros then it really wasn’t a problem. The staff are absolutely amazing and could not do enough for you at any time.

IrelandAntonino collected us directly from the train station and was so warm and friendly. He helped us book a day trip and had mountains follow advice and a friendly demeanour. Sara also helped organise our trip back to Naples and was an excellent host. I’m already looking forward to a return visit and already miss the beautiful views.

AustraliaIt is very far from main town but nice and quiet You will need a scooter to get around properly- bus is irregular especially at night and there are no restaurants nearby. Walking to main town is do-able if you really like walking (we did it twice, 30min with hills) Scooter hire is also 20min walk away so difficult to organise pickup (use Penisola though as recommended - much cheaper) Host did pick us up on check in and dropped us off at checkout (including making a stop to pick up partner after scooter drop off) which was extremely helpful as would have been very difficult to get there with bags Pool is lovely but closes at 7pm- also not heated so not very warm in June. Don’t do boat tour recommended by them- was more of a ferry service
Stunning views, with lots of viewing points including shared rooftop balcony (was quiet whenever we went up) Pool also has views Lots of nice shared space, plus private area for our room Hosts very kind and helpful

Everything there is so beautiful. We appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of staff. They are very friendly and ready to help. The view over the Vesuviu volcano and Napoli Bay is stunning. The area is nice and quiet, but close to the bus that leads you to the city centre and railway station. We had a great vacation, and we can not wait to turn back there.

The views from the property are absolutely amazing ! The owners picked us up from the station and also dropped us off. Although the property is out of town there were 2 different bus services that you could use to get to and from the centre . There were also two excellent restaurants within walking distance for an evening meal if you didn’t want to go into the centre. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Would not hesitate to go back.

A very good, clean hotel located in the hills above Sorrento with an amazing view of the bay. There are two bus lines that stop very close to the hotel, which is a big advantage if you don't have a car. We had a spacious studio with a separate bedroom and all facilities to enjoy a meal in your room if you don't feel like going to a restaurant downtown after a long day. Very friendly and helpful staff - Antonio provided excellent instructions on how to reach the hotel and get around and was always ready to help if we had questions, and Sara gave us some great tips on things to see in Sorrento and the area. We travelled by car so the private parking was a big plus. Would definitely go back.

United KingdomThe only downside was that the front door lock to the apartments were quite noisy echoing in the entrance. Not a problem in the daytime but the people in the apartment opposite to us sometimes came back after we had gone to bed. They were quiet but the key in their lock woke me up (but not my partner, I am a lighter sleeper than her)
Quiet location away from the business of town. It was nice to greet ordinary residents of the village as we walked around, to hear the sound of the church bells and smell the olive and lemon trees. We always had the swimming pool to ourselves at the beginning and end of the day. (we were staying early September) There were great views from the apartment. Sara and her uncle were super helpful and it was lovely to be picked up from the bus station on our first day and dropped back in when we left. We didn't mind the half an hour or so walk to the town centre as we like to keep fit and healthy.

Everything was perfect: staff (Gilberto, Sara and Mirko were so friendly and helpful, it made us feel like we were family), location (a short ride from Sorrento centre by car or scooter) and its quietness, the amazing views, nice, clean and spacious apartment... The owners have also "Naima Restaurant", that serves delicious food in the picturesque old Sorrento and the staff is also very kind and helpful. We wish you all the best!
