How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The only thing that I would have liked to be easier was finding somewhere to eat dinner. I arrive late due to being lost!
Barbara was a wonderful host and tried her best to help me get to the property.

The walls are quite thin, so if the neighbors are loud that can be disturbing, especially at night.
Barbara is really kind; she gave us a lot of recommendations for visiting around Alghero. The room is cozy, and the apartment is close to the city center.

The apartment offers all you need for a pleasant stay. The owner was very nice and provided us with lots of useful information. I definitely reccomend Rosso di Mare!

The host, Barbara was very kind and helpful, she is taking care of you and answers at all your questions. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, I liked that there were window nets, some snacks and water in the fridge. Also, you have the option to self check in very easy if you arrive later.

The owner is really nice, she gave us all important information and recommended places to visit. Room was very clean and comfortable. It's close to the city centre (10-15 min walking) and there are free parking spots in front of the building.

We wanted apartment out of the city center. We rented a car and we were able to find parking place around the house without any issue. Room was clean and comfortable for the fair price. We loved the room design. Barbara gave us tips for places to visit around. Amazing and helpful host. 🙂 I highly recommend this place.

We stayed for three days and fell in love with Alghero, largely thanks to our hosts and their enthusiastic recommendations for what to see and do (and eat!) nearby. Rosso di Mare was like our cosy home away from home after exploring the town and beaches each day, a comfortable place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended, we will definitely stay here again when we return!

The neighbours dog woke me at 3 o'clock each morning with barking.

The hospitality of the owner, Barbara, was amazing. She helped us greatly with advice for nice places to visit, restaurants, car rental, airport transfer. We felt very comfortable and that is thanks to her. The room was nice and cozy and the property is 15-20 mins from the center. You have at the same time the comfort of a quiet area and also you are within walking distance of the main attractions

Very nice place + super nice host with great knowledge of city and whole area. Barbara told us and whatsapp us all the locally proven locations and also restaurants, it was indeed very helpful. The apartment was spotlessly clean, very comfy, fresh and cozy. You can reach the city center by walk (15 min) by the sea. But you get free parking at the street (we had no issue to park in front of the building in August). We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to go back any time.
