Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaOutdated and worn furniture; one of the rooms we stayed in does not have air conditioning (only a desk fan, which merely circulates the air without cooling it, and is not sufficient for the rather large open space). Check-in is odd, as you go to the indicated address, where someone informs you via intercom that you need to go to the hotel for the check-in formalities, but without any details about where the hotel is, what you need to do, etc. The upside is that the hotel is very close. Parking is only provided if you find a free spot when you arrive, which highlights that they do not have enough parking spaces for all rooms, even though Booking states that private parking is provided.
Spacious rooms.

United StatesA kitchen, without any dish soap or sponge. I don’t know how we would have used it.
The two bedroom apartment was spacious… two bathrooms too! The washing machine was a super bonus! It was so warm everything dried before we left. I don’t often use A/C, but it’s so warm it was wonderful to turn on the A/C and enjoy the cool. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

United StatesThe flat wasn't very well equipped in regards to the kitchen but then I didn't plan to prepare a meal there, so that was fine for my one-night stay.
It was convenient to be able to park at the hotel just a few steps away - where you'll check in. The apartment was large but also fairly bland. The location allows you to walk to the old town within 15 minutes.

HungaryMore breakfast options. There were no vegetables, which we missed. Coffee was from a machine, which was not the best.
Clean room, big bathroom and quite comfy beds, even the sofa bed was nice. Helpful staff, city center is not too far. The residence and hotel has big parking garage.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaSofa bed and pillows could be improved.
We recently stayed at Residence San Giusto and were very pleased with our experience. The apartment had everything we needed—it was clean, well-organized, and comfortable. One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the incredibly friendly and helpful hotel staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and truly made us feel at home. Breakfast was served across the street at Hotel San Giusto and was quite good, offering a nice start to the day. The location is very convenient: buses to the city center run every few minutes and take only 3–5 minutes to reach downtown. It’s also easy to get to Miramare Castle with one transfer. We used a daily public transport ticket for only €3.45, which worked perfectly. Another plus is the modern parking garage close to the hotel. It’s safe and well-maintained, with a daily rate of €17. In the area around the hotel, you’ll find everything you might need: cafés, bakeries, shops, and even a few gelaterias—great for quick snacks or a relaxed evening. The classic bed in the apartment was very comfortable. While the sofa bed and pillows could be improved, everything else fully met our expectations. Overall, Residence San Giusto offers excellent value, a good location, and pleasant and supportive service. We recommend it to anyone visiting Trieste and would gladly stay here again.

United KingdomNo option for english tv channels .i dont speak italian so for me the tv is useless unfortunatly but if there was an option for maybe youtube so for people from differant country could watch something in evening. Also maybe some small complimentary packets of coffee and milk just for the arrival would be lovly for those arriving late and cant get a drink. I arrived at 11pm i couldnt get a drink until the next morning. Only issue with the bed is i kept falling down the middle of it as is 2 single beds put together, but i move around alot due to my arthritis so isnt a major problem but did wake me up a few times. Apart from this all is wonderful.i enjoy staying there .
Everytime i travel to trieste this is where i choose to stay . I like how friendly the staff are ,how the location is situated near to things if i need food ect.is clean and quiet . Parking this time was perfect. Is a big car and i asked for a bigger park space. Number 24 and was perfect .a park space that is private is one of the most important things to me so is also one of the reasons i choose this place stay also.very kind man who welcomed me . Theres also an option of breakfast and dinner and good price. Im yet to try this though.

SwitzerlandThe parking spot in the garage was tight, but we made it work. Driving and parking in Trieste is messy in general. The apartment did not provide detergent, brushes, and sponges to clean the dishes. Bring your own! There was one single tab in the dishwasher for us. Some plates were oily and looked used because the last tenants also did not have a way to wash the plates.
The size of the apartment, the location, and the quality of the furniture. AC worked great. Close to two important bus stops / lines (1 and 10). So exploring the city ilwas super easy. Reception staff went out of their way to solve an issue with Booking upon our arrival. Thank you very much!

HungaryThe parking of the hotel is pretty expensive & there were a few things that weren't really issues, we just found them a bit strange, such as the huge window without any curtains right next to the shower looking to the inner courtyard & that we wasn't really sure if anyone can come in from outside as we couldn't lock the door from inside.
Spacious, well-equipped.

LithuaniaOne downside is the weak water pressure in the shower.
The room is definitely comfortable for a longer stay with family or as a couple. There is a kitchenette where you can prepare meals. The beds are very comfortable, and the bedding is soft and clean, making it pleasant to sleep. Air conditioning is available in both rooms, which is great for cooling down on hot days. There is also a dining table where you can sit comfortably. The location is really excellent; you can walk to the city center in about 20 minutes or use public transportation.
