Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

New ZealandI would say the decor is not super modern or amazing and was not really to my taste but that is being a little fussy. I can’t really fault the place in any other way to be honest.
The property is in an amazing location! Is it right next to the Vatican and is close to a number of public transport options. The host and his son are very nice and gave us some great recommendations on sites to visit and restaurants to try. The apartment is clean and tidy! The place is also only 200m from an amazing pizza place! It was also amazing having air-conditioning in all the rooms. This made a huge difference during the hot days. We also loved learning about the history of the apartment this made the place feel special.

Diego the host was very hospitable and provided snacks as well as toiletries. Even slippers and eye mask for each guest. He was an amazing host. The location was a 5 minute walk to Vatican city. Stores close by, restaurants, pizzeria, food supermarket and gelateria all within minutes walking distance. Would stay again on my next trip to Rome!

IrelandWe loved everything about this place. The apartment is located in a gorgeous gated courtyard in a really lovely area of Rome, away from the busy crowds and next to some really nice local restaurants. It's within walking distance of the Vatican and a short walk to Cipro metro station, which brings you to all the main sites in the city centre. The apartment itself is really comfortable, modern, and has all the facilities you need. The owner, Diego was very kind and met us to give us the keys. He was very helpful with information all throughout our trip. He also had some prosecco and snacks for us on arrival which was a lovely touch. Overall, I see why this place has 10/10 stars. It's a really nice place to stay while in Rome and the owners go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Would 100% recommend to anyone planning their stay in Rome!

Very good communication with Diego via Whatsapp. He helped me to contact local office of car rental how to return car, and offered me to book taxi on our departure date. The tourist tips of Deigo are very helpful. The apartment is beyond my expectation and very good location to Vatican and the nearby Metro station. The nearby 24-hour supermarket is very convenient. Will stay again at this "seaport" in the future.

Loved Deigo and his son, they met us at the front gate even though we were late, had little gifts for us, had towels, toothbrushes, soap, slippers and sleep masks on the beds for each guest. He spent time showing us around the flat making sure we knew how to work everything. Two bedrooms with queen beds, star light for on room. Shower was heavenly. Felt very safe at the property, front gate into the courtyard, locked door to enter the building and the door to our flat locked of course. Location was close to the Vatican and close to the metro so getting around was easy.

NorwayEverything you need, to feel at home, Diego the host meet us at the airport, and welcomed us with many treats. The apartment is comfi, clean, and has a small bar that you can take drinks from. The building was safe and quiet during our stay, neighboursalso where very friendly. Nearby you have Mercato Triunfale where you can buy fresh food or you have a 24 hs Carrefour. In front of the house is a great coffe shop, and beside an amazing pizzeria, the same with the ice cream store. So this place is great base, so when you are back of the tours you have everything you need to a local price. Diego suggested as to dinner in Trastevere neighbourhood and I think is a must. I recommend Tonarello, they have two restaurants and you will see they are good since people wait to eat at them, and when you finish eating walk to Piazza Trilussa. We end up there dancing with the kids to live musicians performing Bella Ciao. I feel we got the real Rome experience and Diego's apartment was a big part of that.

CanadaI wish there was a property like this and a host like Diego in every city we visit. The apartment is very clean and functional, it comes with a fully equipped kitchen, coffee maker, clothes washer, fridge, freezer. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, hair dryer. Diego is an amazing host. we communicated on What’s Up, he gave us details how to get there and met us at the apartment. Not only that but welcomed us with champagne, cookies, toast, jam, coffee and tea for the duration of the stay. The apartment is close to Cipro Metro station, 6 stops from Termini. Also very close to Vatican Museum. I would definitely stay here again and if you are reading this review and thinking about booking here, don’t hesitate.

United KingdomNothing, everything was perfect 👌
As someone who has worked at the managerial level within Small Luxury Hotels of the World and looks after apartments near a 5-star golfing resort, I'm very critical. When I shared my experience of the apartment with friends, they said that for me to have no negative comments is the same as a unicorn having tears! The attention to detail Diego shows is fabulous. Travel plugs, hairdryer/straighteners, chocolate on pillows, organza bags with toothbrush, earplugs, toiletries, and slippers. Welcome gift of prosecco, chocolates, and breakfast pack. The beds/pillows are very comfortable. Wi-fi and smart TVs made my teenage children enjoy their stay also. Beautifully equipped with everything you need. Crockery, cutlery, glassware, cookware, nespresso machine, kettle, iron, ironing board, clothes horse. Also, cleaning/laundry products should they be needed. The shower has great pressure, and the bathroom is spaciously spotless. The apartment is 5 minutes from the metro, taxi rank and near some lovely restaurants, supermarket, bakery and market. Ideal location. The apartment itself is in a secure gated location. We found the residents nearby very friendly and no disturbing noises. Diego went out his way to be on hand with any queries and is a warm, welcoming host. He is continuing the story of the apartment being a 'Seaport' with great thought and detail. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Rome, please do not hesitate to stay here. Everything about it is second to none. We're very grateful to have found this gem and hope others have the joy of staying here and making as many memories as we did. Thank you, Diego & family.

I forgot to reply to the booking message about the details of our stay, but it seems the owner can read minds. Everything was so well organized that we didn't want to leave.
