This was the best guest experience we’ve ever had. Saveria and Francesco were the greatest hosts, they managed to solve every minor problem we’ve had, gave us tips to seize the opportunities of the neighborhood. They are extremely helpful and friendly. They also let us let us exercise our terrible Italian when talking with them. We really enjoyed listening to their stories about the “lucky room” and the elevator. The room was spacious, light and cozy. Next to the palazzo there is a fantastic local cheese store, we discovered. Meta is also a fantastic spot to stay in Amalfi region as it is absolutely not crowded but clean. We can’t wait to come back someday!

The traditional Italian breakfast was excellent, but some cheese and tomato would really make a difference.

Palazzo sassi was lovely. Great location. Less than 10 minutes walk to the beach. It was very clean also. The parking was down the street and just a note that the streets to get in and out of parking were very narrow so keep in mind if hiring a big car. I would definitely book again. Saveria was very sweet also.

Would be good to have a lift for guests as the stairs are a bit steep and my sister is special needs so it was a bit difficult on the stairs.

    Location was good

There should be much improvement in cleaning, rooms needs to be renovated, absolutely didn’t match pictures and the real view of the room. We were dissapointed. Hosts were kind though.

The room was beautifully decorated – especially the ceiling with the artistic fresco created a wonderful atmosphere. Everything was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The hosts were also very friendly and helpful.

The walls were a bit thin, so it could get noisy at night. A small fridge in the room would have been a nice addition.

We had a lovely time here. The location in Meta is lovely, it’s around 13 min walk from meta station and about a 5 min walk to the beach. Only 2 stops from sorrento so really easy to head there whether in the evening or for the day. The hosts were so nice, friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not too far from a nice beach... although there are lots of steps to go up and down.

The room was right next to a road that had a lot of traffic, particularly motorcycles, through the night.

Great located property in Meta! Beautiful features in the building, and parking nearby……….which is essential!!! Saveria and Francesco were very helpful on arrival, and made us feel as though we should stay longer!!!

Nothing, but if you have an allergy to stairs, this may not be the place for you! There is a lift for luggage, but not people!

Our room was wide and stylish, spacious and with all facilities. Fresh Italian style breakfast. Great location, just 5 mins walk from the beach. Saveria is top notch, she makes you feel like home and gives you a warm genuine service. She provides any tips about the area and she’s always ready to help for anything you need! Her cappuccino - the best in town :)

Everything was fantastic 😊 — the hotel interior, the cleanliness, and most of all, the hosts! They were absolutely brilliant — the best hosts I've ever had. Her cappuccino is the best on the entire Amalfi Coast. Spotlessly clean and welcoming. Highly recommended!.

-Kind and friendly staff Saveria and her husband are a wonderful couple! They’ll make sure you have a great vacation and will give you the best tips -The breakfast area is cozy and the food options good enough to start the day -We got an upgrade and have the opportunity to enjoy a coffee in the private balcony with good view of the sunset

-There are not elevators to go to the rooms -We booked the room via Booking and it wasn’t the same option/pictures that we saw on the website Be sure to book the right choice! In the end we got an upgrade and the room was really good -The hotel is not in Sorrento downtown area; it’s located in “Meta”, which is about a 15 minute distance from Sorrento by train after you get to the Meta station. -The hot water wasn’t working one of the days -This is Italy, expect to go up and down a lot of stairs

A beautiful property in a very good location in Meta. The hotel has very good transport links via bus to both the Meta station and to Sorrento proper via bus and train. Meta itself is underrated, the beach there and Tico Tico restaurant are wonderful. The hosts at Palazzo Sassi are fantastic, and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was nice, spacious, and very well furnished. With a lovely little balcony and street view. Breakfast was of the typical Italian style - Colazione dolce (sweet breakfast) - and was very enjoyable. Coffee was also very nice.

The room was spacious with a small balcony for 2 people. It was dark at night and had air conditioning. Breakfast included in stay.

    1. We were extremely disappointed with our stay due to a serious issue with the shower in our room — it had NO hot water throughout our entire three-night stay. We were only able to shower once in our own room and had to use two different rooms just to get hot water. Shockingly, the staff even suggested we use showers in occupied rooms when other guests were out, which was completely unacceptable. This is clearly a long-standing problem, as we later saw it mentioned in past reviews, yet the staff still had no explanation and provided no real solution. They repeatedly claimed the issue was fixed, but each time they left, the shower remained freezing cold. Meanwhile, the showers in other rooms were boiling hot, and the staff clearly did not know how to operate them properly. This happened every morning, leaving us stuck in the room for hours, disrupting our plans and negatively impacting our holiday. The staff’s handling of the situation was highly unprofessional, and we are extremely unhappy with how it was dealt with. 2. The towels were dirty upon arrival. 3. The TV did not work at all. 4. It was expensive for the lack of working facilities. 5. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. 6. Our room was not cleaned once - it was offered on the first morning which we turned down as the facilities had not been used. We were told by staff that a cleaner would come the following day, but this never happened. 7. The walls were extremely thin - we could hear continuous coughing throughout the stay, in addition to alarms and phones from other rooms. 8. There was mould in several rooms. 9. This is not a hotel and we would not recommend staying here!!!

    Property response:

Dear Mrs Hannah, we read with much regret what you wrote. However, we think that your comment needs further clarifications. There was a problem with the boiler, which is undeniable, but as you can confirm, a technician was immediately called to solve it. He came to the facility within an hour. To solve the problem immediately, we also proposed you to continue your shower in an EMPTY room which was available in the structure that day. Unfortunately, the problem reoccurred again the next day, but again the technician came within and your room had hot water again. About the other things you wrote, we are very sorry, because they are not true. Palazzo Sassi is an historical building whose walls are very thick. The beds and pillows always get top marks. The TV in your room works perfectly, as every other guest has always used it without complains. We would like to point out that your comment was led by anger, so we consider it inappropriate. We are also very sorry because when you checked out you also complimented our staff about professionalism and understanding of the boiler problem. Finally, we want to point out that our structure is NOT a hotel, as clearly indicated on Booking and on the website. P.S. The block of hot water lasted for a maximum of two hours and not for your entire holiday, so it is not possible that this did not affect your excursions, since you confirmed that hot water was available when we asked for it.

We had a room with a huge rooftop terrace facing the sea. The interior of the room was very nice and charming, with a small fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the views of the sunset amazing. Our host Saveria was so friendly, warmhearted and helpful. She gave us tips for hiking tours and prepared coffee every morning. I forgot my iPhone charger and she mailed it to our home address right on the next day after our departure. Thank you🙏🏼

The shower was a bit small and once in a while the traffic in the street was a bit noisy.

Lovely accommodation in a little village - a short bus or train ride from Sorrento. Our hosts were responsive and helpful. We chose to stay here for its proximity to Sorrento (and Capri), as well as to Pompeii. Really enjoyed our stay. We dined at a fabulous restaurant down on the Meta foreshore - we enjoyed it so much we went back the following night..

Not a massive deal, but another Power point for charging devices would have been handy.

To start ... the breakfast was Very Good and the Capichino's were Excellent. Assunta made the Best one that I had tasted in Italy...!!! The Room was spacious and Very Clean. Maria and Assunta ensured that all you needs were answered. The Beach and a handful of Restaurants were only 10 minutes away by foot, and All the Restaurants we tried were Excellent. Tico & Tico, Lido Mare and The Golden Beach Restaurant were the Best in my opinion ... I would definitely recommend the Perfiterole with Chocholate ... Extremely Decadent... I forgot to mention ... there is a Cheese/Wine/Assorted Meats and wine Shop with Amazingly Friendly people that speak English, Only 4 doors down from the Hotel... The Only tip I have, would be to bring Water Beach Shoes for the Beach, as all the Beaches are small Lava Rocks...

Absolutely Nothing ... Everything we did, ate and Drank from Naples to Sorrento, Positano, The Amalfi Coast, & Revello ... was Excellent ... We have an Amazing Vacation.
