How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The room we had was a cellar with the only window looking out on to people's feet. The bathroom was very small with the toilet 4 cm from the wall. The hot water took ages to get warm and only 2 satchels of liquid soap were provided for a day that was enough for half body shower. The AC was programmed to go no lower than 25 C and it switched itself off after an hour. This ment that the room was always Stuffy. The breakfast consisted of all long life products. No fresh breakfast products whatsoever. We had booked for 4 days but left after 2 due to the inadequacy of the accommodation.
We always appreciate our guests feedback and we are very sorry when there is a problem or something goes wrong and above all we are really disappointed when after speaking directly with our guests, like you, you told everything was OK and after that we read some kind of feedback.... And to be honest we offer also a free 2 nights stay in a future occasion just because you leave 2 days before telling us the only reason for the change was to be together with your friends in another place and nothing else. About the room nothing to say but we invite all possible guests to see the pictures because the dark cellar for us is another thing... The hot water work properly and we verified it everyday when we cleaned the room and the size of the bathroom could be not so big but completely and fully equipped. About soap is true we provide 2 satchel of liquid soap but if you needed more why don't ask us? About breakfast, unfortunately do not depends on us but municipal laws currently only allow us to serve packaged products which are of excellent quality and variety: you will find salty products (ham, salami and cheese) as well as the classic sweet products (bread, dessert, butter, milk, jams and spreadable chocolate, sweet and wholemeal croissants, white and wholemeal rusks, corn flakes, fruit muesli, yogurt, fruit juices and water). You can also prepare coffee, hot chocolate, tea and infusions. For the air conditioning, in compliance with the provisions of Ministry for the Ecological Transition and with the Ministerial Decree of 6th October 2023 the temperature in the rooms can't be lower of 25 degrees Celsius, and we have no timer: so you can switch on and off when you wish. Of course when the temperature is reached the machchine switch off automatically and we kindly ask to our guest to switch off when they are not in the room. We really think a rating of 3 in general is not so objective. The only thing we understand we can't pretend all the guests like our Bed and Breakfast but we can't accept for example a rate of 2,5 for cleaning, for the staff and for the position..... However we hope to have you as our guest in a future occasion and give you all the best as usual. Gabriele and Sabrina

Verified reviewLocation, parking and beautiful terrace , coffee, tea
Breakfast consisted from all long shelf life and processed products: all packaged bread, cookies, cereal. It was 2 slices of cheapest cheese and 4 slices of salami. No fresh breakfast products what so ever. I never eat packaged and processed food , so except coffee and tea we never are breakfast in the room. Secondly: July is a very hot month in Tuscany it was 105-114 F every day. We took a lot of showers. Only 2 small satchels of soap was provided for a day that was enough for half body one shower. I asked the owner for more but he said 2 a day for a couple so we ended up going to the supermarket and buying the soap. Towels changed only every 3 days. However if you take so many showers it’s not enough time to fully dry , so towels smelled terrible . Our bed sheets never changed in a week stay. Another huge issue was with AC. As I already said it was very hot and the AC in the room was programmed for 22-23C and locked so you cannot adjust is to a cooler temp. Every day the room cleaned and stuff turned off the AC so we came back to the room in the evening and it was very hot. Also the blowing was adjusted to a minimum. Those were huge issues for us during the stay
We always appreciate our guests' feedback and we are very sorry when there is a problem or something goes wrong. About breakfast, we have explained several times that unfortunately do not depends on us but municipal laws currently only allow us to serve packaged products which are of excellent quality and variety: you will find salty products (ham, salami and cheese) as well as the classic sweet products (bread, dessert, butter, milk, jams and spreadable chocolate, sweet and wholemeal croissants, white and wholemeal rusks, corn flakes, fruit muesli, yogurt, fruit juices and water). For the air conditioning, in compliance with the provisions of Ministry for the Ecological Transition and with the Ministerial Decree of 6th October 2023 the temperature in the room can't be lower of 25 degrees Celsius, and we kindly ask to our guests (for keeping free of extra cost) to switch off when they leave the room. Anyway in just 30 minutes maximum an hour can reach a perfect temperature in the room also when the guest will be back. About towels, as written, we change it every 3 days and the sheets weekly. For everything else as explained at the arrival we are always at the disposal of our guests for any inconvenience: you only need to call us and talking together we will be happy to help you. We really think a rating of 2 in general is not so objective. However we hope to have you as our guest in a future occasion and give you all the best as usual. Gabriele and Sabrina

Verified reviewQuick check-in, big room, clean, all facilities required! 10 mins away from the old town walking.
Breakfast could have been a bit better, we would love to have more typical tuscany itens. Maybe reduce the number of cookies, packaged croissants, packaged jam, and include more traditional, local flavours.

Verified reviewGreat property in a good location, only 5-10 mins walk to the main square. Excellent facilities and spotlessly clean. Good selection for breakfast which was replaced every day. Friendly hosts who live on site and available when needed. Greve is a lovely town with plenty of good restaurants. An ideal base to visit beautiful Tuscany. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Verified reviewPerfect location for a stay in Greve. Very clean and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and provided a moderate breakfast of meat and cheese and coffee pods every day. The kitchenette is a great asset to prepare your own meals. The backyard has seating and tables with and great view of the Tuscan countryside. Easy walk to town, bike rentals just at the bottom of the hill. We would definitely stay here again.

Verified reviewThis B&B was spotless, spacious, and the host, most welcoming. There was parking in front of the property. The terrace would be nice in seasson.
The room had insufficient heat in winter, the majority of the breakfast was prepackaged, and the bathroom was tiny. The price for February was really high! Greve seems to be a day trip from Florence so maybe there are limited accommodations. We decided that B&B's aren't our style!!!!!
We always appreciate our guests' feedback and we are very sorry when there is a problem. To be correct, we would like to specify that for breakfast, due to current regulations, we cannot serve homemade products so we decide to have more variety of products: you will find salty products (ham, salami and cheese) as well as the classic sweet products (bread, dessert, butter, milk, jams and spreadable chocolate, sweet and wholemeal croissants, white and wholemeal rusks, corn flakes, fruit muesli, yogurt, fruit juices and water). You can also prepare coffee, hot chocolate, tea and infusions. For the heating, we always explain to our guests upon arrival that it is centralized and programmed for certain times but if someone has different needs, just let us know and we can meet the needs of each individual guest but if we didn't know how we can adjust it? Anyway in compliance with the provisions of Ministry for the Ecological Transition and with the Ministerial Decree of 6th October 2023 we can switch on for maximum 11 hours and for an average temperature of 19 degrees Celsius. So our heating is set to switch on in the morning, in the afternoon and in the evening for a total of 11 hours. About the bathroom we understand is not so big but complete of everything anyway: shower, sink, wc and a small hand shower.
