How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis was a truly special stay. Everything was perfect. We stay in a trullo, it was heated and comfortable. Perfect size for a family of 3-4 as there were 2 separate bedrooms, a kitchen, living room and big bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and the owners are wonderful and kind. They lent us a raincoat for our child and were also super understanding! We were able to use their bikes and our little one had a bike seat. There are horses, chickens and geese as well as a peacock. Toys for the children and a little playground. There is also a whole section with a trampoline, football pitch and tennis court. There is a pizzeria and restaurant very close. Lovely town.
We absolutely loved everything!

Verified reviewOur stay at the this amazing property was definitely a 10/10. We stayed for 4 nights. The trulli was absolutely beautiful and all the details inside - from the lighting to the decor are absolutely stunning. You can tell this is a labour of love. The beds and pillows are really comfortable, we all slept really well. It’s also super clean, which for me is very important. The breakfast every morning was really nice with delicious focaccia and cakes as well as other things like cheese, eggs, bread so a nice variety every day. The location is also amazing. Situated on a farm there are lots of stunning country side views. There are animals on the farm which my son loved seeing every morning. There is also a volleyball court, football court and paddle court to enjoy. We also used the bikes to go for a family cycle which was great. The location is perfect for seeing all the other places the region has to offer. About 30-40 minutes away from everything. This was a perfect place for us as we wanted to explore the area but didn’t want to spending huge amounts of time in the car every day. Great value for money too. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Verified reviewBeautiful calm place surrounded by nature, wonderful hosts, everything run with love and perfectly clean. A family masseria in a small pittoresque village, very kind, friendly and helpful owners, incredible coffee and breakfast. Many beautiful destinations of Puglia very close to the place. All in the middle of huge parcels of old olive trees, animals, clean air, incredible views and very nice people. I usually do not write comments, but this place is really worth visiting, we had a phenomenal stay. Thank you Orazio and family!
Thanks a lot Ivana!❤️

Verified reviewFar away from the traffic, the Masseria Trulli sull'Aia was a place of relaxation. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly and always helpful owner couple. They took the time to explain the surroundings and the history of the Masseria to us. We appreciated that very much. We were able to order breakfast in advance. It was provided for us each morning in a box so that we could decide for ourselves where we wanted to have breakfast: under the pergola, on the terrace or in our room. The range of local specialities (cheese, sausage, etc.) on offer at breakfast was particularly good. Bicycles were provided to us free of charge, as were washing facilities for dirty laundry (not a matter of course). A quiet place for young and old, with many animals (two Murgese horses, dogs, cats, ducks, rabbits, etc.), which helped us to relax and reconnect with nature as city dwellers. The room was spacious, clean and equipped with every comfort. We can highly recommend this accommodation, especially for those who want to stay in a trullo (a typical Apulian farmhouse).

Verified reviewFor travelers in search of masseria hosts and accommodations that are maintaining their farming traditions in a quiet rural setting, look no further than Trulli Sull'Aia ! Arriving in the later afternoon, we were warmly welcomed by Orazio who, with justified pride and attentiveness, introduced us to the premises; to the family's commitment to both the ways and means of providing for the comfort of their visitors; and to their guests feeling completely at home in the nourishing surroundings of family-farm life. And while the ancient "threshing floor" of Trulli Sull'Aia speaks of generations of gratefully shared life - of both perseverance and of bounty - now in their care, every where reflected in the work of hands-and-hearts is Maria Teressa's and Ozario's commitment to continuing to tend to the past and present life-sustaining traditions of shared family hospitality. With deep appreciation for both, sending warm wishes for this New Year, David and Susan

Verified reviewA very pleasant experience in the Valle d'Itria. We had a glimpse of what is to live in a trullo - our apartment was similar with what we saw in Alberobello for example. There was a lot of attention to the details in order to keep the authenticity and to have the modern comfort. Sleep quality was very good - very quiet area, good temperature inside. Parking is in front of the house, in the courtyard. Nearby the owners have also some football ground, a tennis court and a beach volley area. It is nice if you want to play with kids etc. In the same courtyard, full of olive trees(the owners have also olive oil for sale) there are some horses, geese, rabbits and a nice peacock. Breakfast is Italian style, bought from local pasticeria and panificio. We missed some vegetables but we bought them from a local supermarket. It is also nice how they provide the breakfast - in a box for every apartment(focaccia, omeletts, cheese, sweets, cornflakes, fruits, croissants etc). Because the products were so good we even visited these local business to buy their products. The owners were very helpful - Orazio is answering very fast to your questions via e-mail or messaging. He and Mariateresa, his wife, gave us a lot of information about the area. The rooms were very clean and towels were changed regularly.

Lots of space outside as well, children will be happy to see the animals raised by the host. Exceptional breakfast, being delivered every morning in a dedicated box, which can be served outside or in your room. Many thanks to Orazio and Mariateresa for being always happy to help us!
