Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaBar fridge is just cold enough. Not really a thing not to like: but minimisation of energy consumption is clearly a priority, so the room will be hot on arrival in summer (not pre-cooled), and the power is to be switched off whenever you are out of the room, so there is always something of an exercise to cool the room when you come back after a hot day - maybe this sounds a bit too much like a first world problem? Note that we were travelling mid June, so every day was warm/hot and sunny.
LuxAttico is a professionally run B&B with an on-site host who will do everything she can to make your stay work. She made the check in process as easy as possible - she was there on the street to show us where the car park was, recommended sights to nearby towns and restaurants for example. Lots of proactive communications and recommendations. The condition of the room shows a high level of care. We do recommend you pay for the car park if you are driving - it is under cover and basically next door to the B&B. (The alternative of parking on the street was something I was glad to avoid). The breakfast has variations every day, is freshly prepared with authentic Puglian choices, and might include homemade pastries, as many coffees as you would like and all cheerfully served by your host. The balcony outside your room is generous, is shared, but this was no problem. Bed was good (two pillows also), bathroom good (great bath towels), one soft side-sofa in our room, the room (#1) had space to be comfortable. Fully stocked mini bar if you would like something. Being “outer central Lecce” made access to the location by car relatively straightforward.

CanadaEven if the apartment has any flaws (it doesn’t), they would be compensated by a humour, warmth, and generosity of the host - Maria Louisa. Even super hot weather in Lucca wasn’t that bad after a morning chat with her. We really liked the place and especially its host!

United StatesI wish I was staying there longer.
This was my first time staying at a BnB. I have traveled a lot and normally do hotels or Airbnb. The check in was so easy and she explained everything I needed to know. The thing that really stood out is how incredibly helpful Marialuisa was. Anything I had a question about she was able to assist. I didn’t feel like I was alone in the city! I was also struggling with some physical pain and she did everything she could to help! Amazing. The breakfast!! Sooo good. My stomach is sensitive and she made accommodations to make sure I could truly enjoy. Will be staying in BnBs moving forward!! Loved it.

United StatesLuxAttico was the perfect stay for us while we explored Lecce and Southern Puglia. Marialuisa was exceptional! She greeted us early to help us find parking, provided us with the most amazing home cooked breakfasts ( complete with her father’s olive oil and mother’s pastries), gave us numerous travel suggestions that were right on point (we saw many more unique places than we would have without her advice) as well as sharing her beautiful b&b with us. We enjoyed the terrace each afternoon and evening while enjoying a glass of wine and relaxing. LuxAntico was incredibly convenient to both the city center and the routes to other locations. We walked to the center each day. We would highly recommended LuxAntico for your stay in Lecce or southern Puglia.

United StatesNot that we didn't like this, just calling it out - the walk was about 10 minutes on side streets until you reach the Lecce center, but it wasn’t unsafe, just less crowded depending on the time of night. We also stayed during the week in September, which impacts that as well. Overall, we walked back and forth to the center during different times of the day and it worked out great!
My husband and I recently stayed at a LuxAttico B&B in September and it was fantastic! The host, Marialuisa, was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. She even reserved a parking space for us before we arrived! Truly one of the most genuine people we have ever met. The room was spacious with a beautiful balcony and full, clean bathroom. Each morning, we enjoyed delicious homemade breakfasts featuring local ingredients and food local to Lecce—such a treat! Plus, the B&B’s location was perfect especially since we rented a car and couldn't drive into the city, so it was just a short walk from the center of town. The city was easy to get around and there was so much to see. Lecce is now one of my favorite cities - it's worth the visit!! The combination of warm hospitality, great food, and a prime location made our stay unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

United KingdomThe most fabulous time in Lecce - in no small part down to the fabulously warm, welcoming, funny and helpful Marialuisa who runs the LuxAttico B&B. She runs a brilliant set-up of three small but spotless rooms that are within easy walking distance of Lecce's Old Town (less than 10 mins walk) and very easy driving access to all other locations. Having served us a delicious breakfast of fresh eggs from her parents' farm, home-made pasticciotto from her mum's kitchen and other delicous fruit and baked goods, Marialuisa was so generous with her tips and recommendations - keen to ensure we had the best time possible in and around Lecce. This wasn't hard though - as Lecce itself if wonderful with beautiful architecture and a thriving cafe culture. We had some absolutely delicious food and, of course, mouthwatering gelato, in a chilled, friendly and buzzing atmosphere. We'd also recommend a visit to Castro and, especially, Otranto.

NetherlandsWhen you go to Lecce then you should stay at Luxattica, because of the host Marialuisa. She is an amazing host who goes above and beyond for making your stay comfortable and pleasant. She helps you with great tips of places to visit and restaurants to eat. Not only in Lecce, but in all of Puglia! Every morning she provides an incredible breakfast with local products and you can enjoy this on the garden terrace. The room was clean, spacious and bright and the bed was very comfortable. This was followed through from beginning to end. 100% great experience, I could not be happier!! she was so welcoming and always made a delicious traditional breakfast and booked all restaurants! She sent me lots of recommendations for good restaurants, beaches and places to visit which made the trip really relaxing and easy as I always knew I would be going somewhere good. The room was clean and comfortable and I would definitely return. It was great to have breakfast outside on the terrace. Everything is really fine and cozy. The design, the location, simply perfect. ItalyThe only thing that could have been better is for me to have stayed longer. Beautiful area, host, and scenery. This is one of the best places I’ve stayed.
The host Marialuisa is the absolute best ever! And the facility was more beautiful than we could have hoped for or imagined. Everything is new and sparkling clean, comfortable bed, great spacious layout, and a gorgeous view from the top floor of the building. Location is in a safe place. easy to walk to the main town square full of shops and eateries, and plenty to see around the area. But the very best is Marialuisa, who met me at the front door and welcomed me into the home as though I was close family. Very helpful with places to see, to eat, to avoid, and she took the time to explain local customs. Amazing breakfast with home made salty and sweet pastry from Puglia. Marialuisa works so hard to provide a pleasant, warm experience for her guests, and it shows. She is genuine and funny, and unprompted sent me many suggestions. Contact her on WhatsApp if you have it she is super accessible on.
