How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Absolutely superb from start to finish. Patrizia was a wonderful, helpful and very kind host. Excellent location and facilities. Immaculate in terms of cleanliness. Breakfasts outstanding. Internal garage extremely handy for storing a motorcycle. Great to have use of a very nice kitchen too.

Patrizia, the host, is very attentive and welcoming. She gave us lots of handy hints. The B&B is located in a calm street a bit outside of the city centre. Parking is possible in the street, a bus stop is right next to the house. Our room was very clean with a balcony, big bathroom and air condition. The bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice with lots of homemade things.

The room and shared area are clean and furnished with care and the building is a perfect area for who has owned means with no noise. The breakfast has been over the expectations. By the way, the host Patrizia prepares scrambled eggs with eggs of her owned hens, delicious! Moreover, the host Patrizia is very gentle answering promptly to any request.

The location is farther from the city center. Getting to the city center on foot is possible, but requires walking some distance on the road. Luckily you can take a bus/coach that drive relatively frequently and stop relatively close to the property.
The hostess was very kind and helpful, provided a lot of information about getting around the city, and what to see. The rooms were clean, comfortable, really liked the large shower. The common kitchen area and the garden were very cozy.

Actually, nothing.
Getting into/ out of the unit was very clear, well explained. Clean. The host actually met you and walked you through the facility. The host suggested 2 restaurants within walking distance. We visited Grotto Del Sargente. Highly recommend. Host actually prepared breakfast. All was fantastic! We'd do it again.

I felt really welcomed at that Lora Giusta guest house, and the owner is very sweet and nice lady. There is nice, homy atmosphere for the breakfast. There are couple of restaurants just near the house (you will receive all the recommendations on the spot :)). We had dinner at one recommended place and it was amazing - plus not so touristy & authentic. The only thing to consider is that due to location is easier to get to Como center by car.

The guesthouse is very beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, and everything is very well-maintained and new. The hostess is very accommodating and loves to pamper her guests. The breakfast was plentiful, and there was even homemade bread and jam. There is a bus stop in the immediate vicinity of the guesthouse. The buses run every 15 minutes, and you can reach the city center in just 10 minutes. We can highly recommend the guesthouse and will definitely come back.

Everything. From the location to the facilities, Patricia made everything so wonderful. Amazing close by restaurants within walking distance, pizza take away, and amazing breakfast prepared by the host. I cannot recommend this place enough and wish I could stay longer. Hope to see you again soon.

Nicely designed room and breakfast room in a quiet area few km from the center of Como. Very friendly and helpful host. Easy to find a public car park at the street.

Everything in Lora Giusta Guest House was excellent. You could see that our hostess paid attention to every detail, from the rich breakfast to coffe and tea being available at any time, to the towels and coverlets matching the colours of the room to the beautifully handcrafted furniture. Thank you, Patricia, for your hospitality and all the good advice you gave us on how to best spend the three days we had in Como.
