How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAt first the location seemed a little far, but it was actually good bc you can walk everywhere from there and there are bus stops really close. Also since the night life is every night, since the room is not in the center, you can sleep really well without listening people from the outside partying till late
The glass door for the shower was off the line, so you couldn’t really close that well. Also the sprinkler shower was kind of damaged and couldn’t be used bc the water would come out from the hose.

Verified reviewClean, contemporary , and well maintained and staffed!
Booking.com needs to double check this as sold as private parking and when enquired only parking was an overnight public multi story garage parking at £25 per evening! This is not private parking and was mis sold. I was not impressed as I had to look for a long time to find suitable parking! Not Good!

Verified reviewThis was a nice place just a few minutest walking distance from the train station, with a supermarket just across the street and a few minutes walk to the city centre of Sorrento. Very quite room facing the back area of the building block. Communication with the host via WA very pleasant, it was possible to come earlier before the official check-in time, leave our luggage there and get the keys, even though the room was not ready yet. All the ladies we met or communicated with were very nice. The breakfast is served in a small BF area with the possibility of sitting in the small garden, which was nice. The room and bathroom and the common areas were beautifully, modernly, and tastefully furnished; everything was perfectly clean and tidy. The bed was very cozy and comfortable. Would stay there anytime again.
The proximity to the train station has got also the back side of having a train passing by every 20-30 minutes or so, the train tracks are just a few metres from the building, our room`s window faced the tracks. However, it was alright and was not really disturbing.

Verified reviewThe room was good, has a great aircon, we could use the microwave and oven outside the room (for all guests), the breakfast was perfect, italian style with a great cappuccino. The check in and checkout procedures were easy, Rosarea was in contact with me in the whatsapp, so everything was good! The location was perfect, near to the train station and a big supermarket. The center of sorrento was close to, 7-10min walking. Highly recommend
All good..

Verified reviewGreat central location – close to the beach, main market street, and the station. The apartment is very clean and appears to have been recently renovated. Very comfy beds, good shower, cleaning service done daily. Communication with the hosts was smooth and pleasant. The hosts kindly allowed me to leave my luggage a bit longer. The air conditioning works well and is quiet, although having it in the hallway would be a nice addition.
It's difficult to sleep in or stay in bed a bit longer in the morning. I would suggest reconsidering the breakfast setup. I understand that the lady preparing everything is simply doing her job, but the noise starts around 7 AM. Since the room is located right next to the kitchen and breakfast room,, every spoon, cup, plate, and chair being moved can be clearly heard. On the day of my departure, she also knocked on my door quite early—just when I was hoping to sleep a bit longe - just to remind me about the breakfast. I appreciate the good intentions, but if I had wanted to get up for breakfast, I would have done so myself. After that, I couldn’t fall back asleep, so I decided to pack and leave. The apartment is also located right next to the railway tracks. While there’s no noise from trains at night, it does start around 8 AM, so don't be surprised.

Verified reviewThis is very well located, just 5-7mins walk from the station, and on the ground floor itself. Also very safe and secure. The room was quite big with an extra bedding separately which we used for our luggage and it was very tidy. Mariana(the help there) took great care of regular cleaning and if we needed anything anytime.

Verified reviewThe property is few minutes walk from sorrento station and still away from too many tourists, good restaurants nearby and a grocery store across the street. Compared to most b&b’s in naples or amalfi, this accommodation serves really good breakfast! We cant even finish it and the selection is slightly different everyday. You can even request what you would like to drink (espresso, cappuccino, water, juice- or all of it) 😅 plus the sweet lady Marianne serving the breakfast inside the room same time everyday. She cant speak English but definitely takes care of the guests really well. Once i needed to ask something, she immediately called the host Rosaria and was in 2mins already in the property. The coffemaker/ espresso machine they have in the room is incredible. The room is also equipped with water heater and mini fridge. The room gets cleaned everyday, toiletries and new towels you can request. The airconditioner works well. The security system is great, we’re really impressed! Even the neighborhood feels really safe.
Pillows can be improved, the tv doesnt have smart functions- but not really necessary since we’re there for vacation anyway.

Verified reviewGreat and clean room. Checking in was easy. Very spacious room with a very clean bathroom. Very good bed as well. Possibility to make a cup of coffee in the morning. For breakfast we had to go out to a coffeebar downstairs, which is actually great, because that's the way to have breakfast in Italy.

Verified reviewThe location was perfect very close to the train station and easy to fine. I found it on my own but then the owner sent me photos to tell me how to enter and what the entrance looked like. The room was fine. Did not have a city view and I am not sure how clean the bathroom was as there were still products from the person who was there before me. I did not see anyone until the next morning but they were kind and made me a coffee and gave me a bottle of water.
Could have been cleaner. No view.

Verified reviewGood location, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Had a small fridge in the room as well as a microvawe in the common area with plates etc. Air conditioning in the room that you can regulate yourself.
Since the train tracks are quite close, it was rather loud due to traffic.
