How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The building/room is located on a very busy street, lot of traffic noise from outside.
We were satisfied with the location (near the train station). The room was clean, well stuffed and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Check-in and check-out process easy, fast communication via whatsapp.

All was good.
The location was convenient and the property was very quiet. The room was comfortable. The host let us check in early so we could have a rest before going out. The host also helped set the air conditioning so it was effective but very quiet. The breakfast at the cafe one minute walk away was great. Coffee and a delicious pastry.

Our only concern was the angle of the fixed shower head which made it difficult to get totally under the stream of water.
Location was important for us. It was close to the railway station and a bus stop from which we took a bus to beautiful Otranto. It was also a 15 minute walk to the main attractions.

Area is somewhat seedy at times

One of the best B&B I’ve ever been. There’s even a microwave in the room… what a great idea! Everything was perfect. The room was super clean, towels and bed linen smelled really good! I really appreciated it! If I ever go back to Lecce I’ll definitely return there.

Only 2 coffee pods for a 3 night stay and the staff were not allowed to give out anymore and the direction was clearly from the owner. The closeness to the railway station made the area feel a little unsafe at night as there were a lot of vagrants hanging in that street.
A very nice room with good amenities, it was like a hotel room with a microwave and coffee machine and bar fridge and a good breakfast bar for preparation of your own meals. The staff were friendly, attentive and nice. We had a room with a verandah which was great. We had an air conditioner with a problem and they were quick to respond. Breakfast was at Bar Kennedy which consisted of a fabulous coffee and croissant or pastry which were both good. The vicinity to the railway station, 5 minute walk and 12 minutes to the old town area.

Good location, comfortable, clean and well-equipped room. The breakfast is in a coffee bar at the corner, it was a typical Italian breakfast, with delicious pasticciotto leccese and capuccino. I enjoyed staying here a lot and reccommend this apartment.

Excellent facilities, clean and comfortable room, easy check in and very attentive staff. Breakfast was great at a lovely cafe a two minute walk away. Fantastic location that was convenient for both the station and the old town.

I loved everything !
Enjoyed my 3 night stay ! Wish it could have been longer . Check in was great ! Room was clean and comfortable ! Location was few minute walk from train station . Breakfast was included from the corner cafe . Loved the balcony . Easy to walk to all sites .

If there are any shortcomings, we noticed that they are being fixed after the guests' comments. Everything was great for us!

Everything was amazing! Near to train station and 10 minutes walk to old town. Very clean apartment equipped with coffee machine, microwave and refrigerator. Very delicious breakfast!

Location is really near the station,though there are many immigrants but I’m not in danger. Main street can make traffic noisy in early night but didn’t bother me.
One of the host is an Italian Spoken gentleman which is warm and nice. Complete facilities,comfortable bed. Breakfast was served in a bar nearby and the pasticchiotto was extremely delicious.

The Area wasn't 10/10 but two females felt safe.
Warm welcome, excellent accomodation, breakfast off site coffee and cake. 6 mins to the train station. 10 mins to the Old Town plenty to do and see
