How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Unfortunately renovation was taking place in the building or in an adjacent one. We were not able to identify where was the noise coming from. Clearly this was not the owners fault. The building noise started at 8am and finished around 4pm, so it would not bother us we were mostly out of the accommodation exploring beauty of Rome.
Close to metro station. Extremely clean and comfortable with nice little touches from the owner who was very welcoming.

At first I wasn’t to sure on the location but I soon got past that as Vatican City really is a 10 minutes simple walk away
Marco, he was the best host you could ask for. We were slightly early arriving and having things booked in the afternoon we needed to drop our bags off. So he ran across the city to greet us and check us in!

Nothing - it was lovely.
Marco was a fantastic and responsive host. Our room was spotlessly clean, spacious and homely. The AC was very effective - important as Rome was so hot. Marco recommended some lovely local restaurants. Highly recommend.

No safe in room. Wasn’t a huge problem just prefer to place valuables in one.

The place has a common kitchen directly outside the rooms and that's something I wouldn't prefer. Fortunately the others were respectful and silent when they were using it.
The location is great, the room was clean and nice and Marco is a great host, very kind and thoughtful!

Nothing, other than we liked to have our window open and therefore there was a little noise early morning! To be expected in any city... we live in London!
We really appreciated Marco's attention to detail, his helpful tips and advice, particularly given we had booked our holiday prior to the sad passing of the Pope and worried everything would be closed.....Marco reassured us and kept us informed. Our room was immaculately clean and a good size. Marco had thought of everything....maps, coffee pods, filtered water....We also liked how close the apartment was to the metro and the Vatican city.

Marco was an absolute amazing host, he helped me organise trips and also helped with travelling from the airport to the hotel. He's couldn't have been anymore helpful. The hotel was spotless and loved having the kitchen area to make tea. Rooms were spacious and bright. Hotel location was perfect for using the metro, only 5 minute walk away and also a few minutes to the most amazing breakfast place with the best pistachio croissants ever. Marco you are an angel and made this holiday one to remember I can't thank you enough 🙏❤️

Everything was more than perfect! Marco was very kind, he sent us tips and advices for all the places that we have to see in Rome, restaurants with a good food and so on. You can ask him everything and he will help you. The metro is about 5 minutes away. It was very clean and cozy. Surely, we will come back again! 👌🏻❤️

Marco, our host, was very warm and accomodating. The guesthouse is perfect for a weekend family escape to Rome. It is two blocks away from a metro station, and very accessible overall. The place is very comfortable and in a safe, residential are. I highly recommend.

It was such a pleasant stay. Everything is very comfortable: close to public transport/cafe/markets/different shops/luggage storage rooms/metro/Vatican. Also, it’s very clean and located in a quiet and peaceful area which is the most important advantage for me. Besides, Marko the landlord is very communicative, friendly and helpful, always on the line when needed, i asked him to choose a good place to eat instead of me after my long trip when my head was blowing up and I couldn’t even think 😁 Definitely worth it!

The owner Marco was super nice the entire stay, he even gave us some really good tips and explanations about everything in the room and outside of it. The location is really close to the Metro station “Cipro” and you can get anywhere from there. The room was very clean and fun to stay at. Really recommend this!

Great location (5 min from Metro and 3 min from supermarket), very clean, Administrator was very supportive and shared a lot of tips. Room has been cleaned every day, there is also kitchen where you can eat or even warm some food,
