The breakfast was phenomenal and absolutely the best we have ever seen. The choices were vast and beautifully presented. Having Chef Giuseppe offer freshly made ricotta and scampi and shrimps was a bonus indeed. The rooftop restaurant was amazing and romantic. We had dinner and lunch there too. The pool deck was clean and staff were kind and respectful. The views were breathtaking! The bikes were also a lovely surprise. Our room balcony was lovely to retreat to and the bathroom amenities were amazing too. We would definitely come back to this luxurious hotel. Bravo!!

There was only one situation we wished could have been avoided - one of our hotel bikes broke while visiting a neighboring town.

This was probably the best hotel I ever stayed in. The staff was exceptional, offering to assist us in any way possible. Additionally, the hotel does an extraordinary job giving the guests everything possible, even a going-away gift of chocolates and water. There are staff members throughout the property assisting the guests. The facilities are beautiful, with all details attended to, including beautiful art sculptures. The buffet breakfast is one of a kind. The rooftop pool is spectacular. I will be back.

The roof top swimming pool is very shallow and so difficult to swim in it.

The Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in ... and I have travelled the world! It is in a superb location looking out onto the sea. My room was very comfortable. The staff right through the property were top class in terms of being very friendly, helpful and professional. There is an amazing roof top bar and hang out area with fantastic panoramic views of the entire Viareggio area. The breakfast must be the greatest breakfast in the world, so is the choice of food and options to have what every you want cooked on the spot.

Loved the wonderfull woman greeting us every morning at the breakfast. They took very good care of us and was there to assistant us with everything we needed. An enjoyable stay. Hope everything for the best to the staff and especially to the fantastic woman giving a toy frog to our kid.

Everything about the hotel is wonderful. What’s not to like. The food, the staff, the facilities, location…simply amazing.

No chair in the room so had to sit on the bed. Shower exceptionally poor. Very small, not even a square. Water kept going from hot to cool so had to constantly tweak the control. The shower head slider did not work so had to avoid the spray. At this price I would expect a bath. A shower might be handy but for a holiday a long hot soak is a dream. The bed head was too small for the mattress so the mattress could not go against the bed head, leaving a wide gap between the two, this meant pillows kept dropping down the gap so as it was the only place to sit, it was very uncomfortable. This needs addressing with the interior designer. School boy error. The pool although lovely has too many odd bits sticking out of it which are quite dangerous when swimming. The Brasserie restaurant was lovely but too nice if you wanted to eat there more than a couple of times.

The welcome from the reception staff and then from every single member of staff we met, nothing was too much trouble, polite, friendly, professional. Excellent location. Spotlessly clean. Good toiletries, towels. bedding, storage, etc. Breakfast very good, delicious cakes. Lovely pool area, bar, restaurant on 5th floor. The chef comes out to speak to you. Once again, the staff are amazing.

The standard in the hotel was just exceptional …we had 4 fabulous days to rest after a lot of travelling and sight seeing. We just loved it!! Vicky at the rooftop pool was so kind and caring …just what we needed…be sure to pop up there!!
