Reviews of Casa Modica - Luxury rooms

I only gave an 8 due as we had a first floor room on the street side and could hear all the noise outside during the night. However, the staff and hotel are fantastic and even offered to change rooms but we had already unpacked and decided to stay. We will most likely stay their again in the future, but will ask for a higher floor facing the other side of the building.

They need to update their windows insulation to cancel external noises, everything else is great.

Closets could be a little more practical

The location is beautiful. And very central. The rooms are top notch.

The location is in the exact center of the City but set back from most the associated noise and late night activity. The staff is so very full of heart and friendly and bends over backwards to accommodate its guests anticipating every need. The included breakfast served at the hotel’s private restaurant/cantina was excellent — any requests or changes to the standard fare were met with graciousness and perfectly executed. Included along with the free breakfast was a wonderful afternoon appertivo consisting of a delicious muscat-type wine from the family’s proprietary collection with a delicious eggplant caponata and serving of fresh olives and almonds. The room was like a private apartment with its own foyer, personal balcony, oversized bathroom and exceptional quality linens. Impeccable location, accommodations, service and quality food. Highly recommend!

Parking was difficult but we were always able to find something within less than a 900-foot walking distance.

Nice rooms and location.

Rooms without any sound proofing - can hear every person in corridor entering and leaving their rooms and the very loud buzzing noise made when each room door unlocks- sounds like a jail door system. More upsetting, the doors cannot lock from the inside and on our second night, someone entered our room while we were asleep at just before midnight. They had a master key that unlocked the door and entered our room whilst assisting another couple with a late check in and problems with their lights. When discussed with the front desk in the morning they were not aware that this had happened overnight. It was difficult to feel safe when you are worried someone could again enter the room whilst you were sleeping.

Casa Modica is very centrally located and you can park for free in the road (provided there is space) It is very well decorated, clean and a quiet location. Breakfast is provided around the corner and was excellent!

Our room no6 ‘aministratore’ opens on the back side where the kitchen odors prohibit opening our window. Noise from the staff in the same area

This place was probably the best value after checking more than 10 locations in different areas of Sicily. They included breakfast and free aperitivo and the value and quality of the stay makes up for the great price. Location could not be better. It’s 1 block from Cafe Sicilia, cathedral, other boutique hotels with a great view, etc. service was top notch, rooms are gorgeous, the cordiality and friendliness of Joele was amazing. We have loved it, the whole place is antique and renovated with great features. We wish to return. (Plus they have a restaurant and museum around the corner)

It was all perfect

The property is well located, quaint rooms, and clean. The staff was helpful with on street parking.

I booked a room with a private terrace and breakfast included. When we arrived we were told we had to pay for breakfast at their restaurant around the corner ( very good food btw) and we were shown to room without the terrace and it was not the one displayed in the booking.

Best location in Noto, breakfast in the most iconic street of the town under the most beautiful balconies. I strongly recommend this boutique hotel, the owner/manager is also extremely generous and helpful. We would 100% come back.

Perfect location, incredible place.

Breakfast is amazing

Our hosts were lovely and very helpful. Tastefully appointed foyer and room. Location for quiet breakfast beyond lovely in the Via Corrado Nicolaci as the sun crept along the balconies and Noto came to life. Also excellent and lively for late-night aperitif. Slept like logs.

Our only disappointments were the lack of sitting room on the premises (but made up for by breakfast location), size of room and 'courtyard' over which balcony looked. It was possible to have a room with a sitting room (saw it, beautiful, with long balcony overlooking street), but presumably double the price.
