Great experience staying in this villa just outside the old city of Lecce (1-2 mins walk). Good facilities and very friendly and helpful people. Great there is also parking available, a big plus. Can recommend!

Nothing to dislike about the property.

The property is well placed for a visit to Lecce, being a short walk from the historical centre. The property itself has been tastefully decorated and furnished. The staff are so friendly and the owner is a proper gentleman. Breakfast at a communal table was full of local products and home baked pastries.

Nothing at all — everything was excellent.

The warm and thoughtful welcome really stood out. Caffè leccese on arrival, juice offered instead without even asking, and homemade jam tarts made it feel special. The house is elegant and immaculately kept, with a lift that helped with heavy luggage. The room was spacious, air-conditioned, and very comfortable. Private parking was very convenient. Breakfast was plentiful with homemade cakes, and the host explained everything clearly. Great location too—peaceful yet close to the centre.

If we had to mention one small downside, it would be that breakfast finished a little too early at 10am. While the spread was delicious, being on holiday we found ourselves having to set alarms to make it in time. Extending breakfast to 11am on weekdays and maybe 11:30am on weekends would make this already great stay a 10/10 experience.

We absolutely loved our stay at Demòra Charleston in Lecce. The accommodation was clean, and very comfortable — a perfect base to explore this beautiful city. The location is fantastic, just a short stroll to the historical centre, yet tucked away enough to be peaceful. But what truly set this stay apart was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home — it genuinely felt like staying with family. Every interaction was friendly and thoughtful, and their local tips were so helpful. Having on-site parking was a huge bonus, especially being so close to the heart of the old town.

Malio is an outstanding host and made us feel as if we were staying in his private elegant palazzo. It's easy to feel the rich history and grandeur of Lecce when you stay at a gorgeous property like this. Location couldn't be more ideal with one of the 3 main entrances to the old walled city just 50 yards from the front gate of the property. Highly recommend!

If you go in the middle of summer the rooms are a little warm with the AC.

The location and parking cannot be beat. The host and his staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. There is an elevator if needed. Rooms were clean and as expected for Italy/Europe. Pool and sitting area was a nice bonus!

Breakfast was a real treat and included some local specialties (pastry with tomatoes, cheese and bechemel sauce was our favorite). The rooms are spacious, cool and comfortable although the in-room Jacuzzi is kind of weird and takes up space that would be better used for a seating area with a comfy sofa and coffee table. The lobby area is welcoming with all sorts of interesting artwork. And the location could not be better - just steps from one of the ports to the old town. The bonus was being able to park right on premises behind a locked gate.

One could not ask for a more hospitable welcome than that we received at Dimora Charleston! Every day we were greeted by the excellent staff with a smile and a warm greeting! They set the tone for our wanderings in Lecce. The rooms and furnishings were spacious and very comfortable. Our three days absolutely flew by. We would return in a heartbeat!

I prefer modern places but this old place was a good experience for me .

It’s an old big house with six rooms . We had the one at the ground floor . Delia , her son and the owner himself were so sensitive and pleasant . Breakfast was very nice .

Breakfasts were not the best we've had and more fruit and choice of cereals together with availability of sugar plus milk without asking each time would have been good. Owner very welcoming and polite but had a "Basil Fawlty" moment over the parking of our bikes, despite our previously checking this with him.

Very impressive, imposing, clean and tidy property, well located and convenient for the Old Town. Rooms grand and spacious.
