How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Fantastic place, clean, comfortable and in the best location close to all the amenities in short walking distance. The host was great, extremely helpful guiding us to the best activities around. Looking forward to come back again

The A/C was not keeping the main bedroom as cool as we hoped, so it got a bit too warm in the middle of the night. And this was after adjusting the thermostat to the lowest setting.
Location was close to the train and a convenient distance to the beaches, restaurants and shops.

Nothing. It was perfect.
Cinquevite was the perfect stay for our small family of three. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, always warm and attentive. The location is incredible—right in the heart of Polignano a Mare and just a short walk to everything. Our room was clean, stylish, and just the right size for us. We’d absolutely stay here again.

Nothing to complain about. Everything was excellent.
Beautifully appointed, modern and spotlessly clean. It felt spacious and very nice and welcoming to come back to at the end of a busy day. In particular, Rossella provided such excellent hospitality and we really appreciated her wonderful recommendations, professionalism and lovely daily disposition. Nothing was too much trouble for her.

Parking can be tricky nearby, but we usually parked at the station when we couldn't find a park and moved the car closer later in the evening.
We stayed at Cinquevite while on our honeymoon, and absolutely loved it! The apartment was spacious and very modern and minimalistic. We loved having all of the windows open for airflow through the apartment. There are so many thoughtful touches including the ipad controls, and so many lighting options. The accommodation is not far from the old town and main attractions. The breakkie offered was at a Cafe nearby with a coffee, orange juice and cornetto (traditional italian breakfast). Rossella is an incredibly friendly and helpful host. We hope to make it back one day!

A kettle in the rooms would have been good as I like my tea which I missed whilst on hols. Also the pillows were not comfortable as they were too hollow.
Location was perfect and Rosella our host was extremely attentive and very helpful. She recommended places to visit and eat as well as giving us direction to those places. The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent.

There could be much more to offer. And I didn’t like the breakfast that we had to walk to the city center. I believe that they could offer room breakfast in the future.

Gorgeous room and close to the city centre! Rossella was fantastic host, very friendly, informative and helpful with bookings and activities to do!!!!

All was good. Breakfast in a coffee just 100m away, very good breakfast on the piazza.
Location, walking distance to the old town. The room, spacious and well equiped. The staff super friendly and welcoming. Very helpful with parking and any tips on Polignano. We felt welcome and at ease.

We had the pleasure of staying in two apartments, one for two people and another for three people, and both were fantastic. They were very clean and tastefully furnished. The location of the apartments was convenient, being close to the center. Rosella did an excellent job. She provided us with great tips and booked a wonderful restaurant for us. Although Rosella couldn't personally greet us, Stefano took great care of us, warmly welcoming us and assisting with parking our car. We highly recommend this place. The attentive service, combined with the nice and clean apartments, make it a very good choice.

The air con in the rooms isn't great.
Rosella was fantastic. So helpful and accomodating. She booked a trip to a private beach for us, recommended restaurants and was just so helpful.

The shower drain seemed a bit blocked, but maybe was just slow, so we had to moderate the water flow. I’m very fussy about pillows and they were a bit flat and firm for my liking, but again, I am very fussy about pillows.
Rossella is the draw card. Friendly, accommodating, excellent recommendations and help with bookings for dining and activities. Great at gauging our interests and making suggestions accordingly. Our Italian is also very limited and Rossella was very kind, engaging with us in English. The room itself offered plenty of space, central with easy walking access to all of the town, balconies looking over the local square which comes to life with such a buzz of an evening.

breakfast is in a location nearby, very good but the voucher money doesn't cover anything in the place. it wasn't very clear for me that we would have to pay for breakfast, as it said it was included. but the food was pretty good
the host was amazing, super nice. had a lot of tips about the city and was very supportive before, during and after check in. very good location, just out of the old town, but nice walkable distance. room was very good, large and comfortable. it had everything we needed. wifi worked perfectly even for video calls. bathroom is amazing too, super comfortable
