The property was close to everything I’m Forio - the port, restaurants, shopping, and the bus. It was an ideal location for families!

Paola is an incredible host. She makes the place feel like a second home and is so attentive. Everything we did was based on her recommendations and we’re so glad we followed them. Our apartment was faultless and the pool area was wonderfully quiet-perfect after exploring the island. I would recommend to everyone to stay here!

Excellent communication. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and the property was an A+.! Rooms were very well appointed ,comfortable and clean. I have been traveling 36 years in the travel industry and felt this property had so much value. Did I mention the view and central location…both were spectacular! I cannot wait to return!

Lovely property, nice small pool and hot tub. Big apartment with great view of the port. Paola was a very helpful host and got someone to fix the AC promptly. Great location 1 block from the center and directly next to bus stop. Clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Would have liked an option to pay for late checkout. Second bedroom is a walk through loft which worked for us but just be aware if someone in your party was expecting privacy.

Casa Vacanze Parco Del Generale gets a top rating from us for two reasons: the perfect location, and the amazing hospitality of Paola, the endlessly resourceful host. With respect to location, we feel we couldn't have chosen more perfectly. This place is steps from what proved to be our favorite beach we visited on Ischia. Public transit is virtually at this place's doorstep. We were grateful to not have chosen a place in the interior or on more rugged terrain, which without a car would have proven isolating. Finally, the center of Forio is a five minute walk away, and we found Forio to be the liveliest and most enjoyable of the towns we visited on Ischia. Now, about Paola. I am not exaggerating when I say she was perhaps the most attentive host we've ever had in all the years of using booking.com and other hospitality apps. She had copious and amazing tips for what to do and see, where to eat, what spots to visit and which to maybe not go to. She responded graciously to every request (including when we stupidly locked ourselves out!), was charming, and so so helpful. When we return to Ischia we will not hesitate to stay here again if it's available.

Nothing - do not book this place

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. The owner was extremely rude. The toilet smelled of urine, the pool is not how it looks in the photos - much smaller . There were bedbugs in the bed and I informed the owner and told her we were leaving, I was upset as we had a baby so I didn’t want to stay a second longer. She was unapologetic said in a very bitchy way ‘you’re overreacting’. I said that if she had a baby would she like them to be in a bed with bedbugs and she said ‘well I wouldn’t travel if I had a baby’. She called my toddler a ‘terror’ as soon as we got out of the car as he wanted to help to push the suitcases- he is a lovely little boy and very well behaved. I never write bad review and we do a lot of travelling as a family and I have never come across such horrible treatment. We checkout out early and loved to a different apartment. The whole experience was horrendous and the place is a bit of a dump so we will never go back and I wouldnt want anyone to have to experience it.

Fantastic location and wonderful pool area with sun loungers, jacuzzi, ping pong table, foosball, and fitness equipment. Walking distance to everything you need in Forio. Sea views from our windows. Very clean. Paula gave good recommendations for restaurants nearby. Very convenient having our own kitchen and one and a half bathrooms.

Pillows were too hard, and we couldn’t get the air conditioning units upstairs in the bedrooms to work our first night. Then Paula showed us that a flip needed to be switched to reset them, and then they worked.

What a wonderful stay we had at this accommodation in beautiful Forio. The bookings.com photos and description actually don't do this place justice, the accommodation surpassed our expectations. Our room had everything we needed. We loved the balcony off the room that looked directly at the beach. The bathroom was spacious and very clean with a great shower. The room and the complex was very clean. The accommodations location is excellent, just a short walk from the ferry wharf (just turn left when you exit the wharf and walk straight along the water front until you reach the first (and only) set of pedestrian traffic lights, cross the road here and you have arrived). It is a short walk to the Old Town that has plenty of delicious restaurants as well as a supermarket and other shops. Very close to the accommodation is a terrific bakery which quickly became our lunch stop, buying takeaway to eat it on our balcony. The beautiful beach with crystal clear water and sand is a 2 minute walk. There is plenty of free beach available as well as a paid beach. The accommodation has an outdoor shower area to wash off the sand upon returning from the beach. We also had access to 2 pools with deck chairs within the adjoining accommodation (20 metres away). This area was within lush gardens . The breakfast is a typical Italian breakfast with a fresh croissant, yoghurt, juice, coffee, packet toasts and spreads. Paola served it on trays (with a smile) to enable us to eat it on our balcony. The bus system on Ischia is good. We purchased a one day ticket (5.10 euro each) and did a lap of the island, just getting off where we wanted to look at places. It is all made perfect by the wonderful friendly host, Paola. Paola always responded quickly to our messages before our arrival. She was waiting to greet us when we arrived. At check in she had a sheet that she had created, with lots of helpful information such as suggested restaurants, things to see and do, supermarkets, etc.

The host Paola is just such an amazing person. Her recommendation and treatment was absolutely fantastic. The rooms are completely new and very comfortable and nice with a great view from the balcony from which you can enjoy the breakfast in the morning sun. Paola serves perfect italian coffee. AC works perfect. Shower is a rain shower with a lot of water. The apartment is located just 100m from a very nice sandy beach with lots of Bars and Restaurants. All of it is in distance for walking. We loved our stay immediately and regretted not being able to stay longer. We’ll come back asap

Maybe a second pillow would be great for each person

Loved our stay! The location was perfect just a short stroll to the town and the beach across the road. There are also pool facilities and a jacuzzi. Paola was amazing, super friendly and made many recommendations of cafes, restaurants and things to see and do on the island. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Paola is the best! Amazing host and tour guide. She was very helpful with advice for restaurants and experiences on the island. She really helped make our experience in Ischia fantastic. Excellent location next to large beach and Forio centre. Clean room with comfortable mattress and a lovely breakfast with croissants cappuccino coffee served on the balcony. I would highly highly recommend staying here!

Paola was an amazing host, with fantastic recommendations and was always available for help :) The location is stunning, right across the road from the beach, walking distance to town. The rooms and amenities were beyond anything we expected. We will be back! :)

Awesome location!!! I’m very close to town, great ocean views. Quiet, faces main road that runs along ocean but with windows closed was very quiet. Ac worked well.
