Borgo Altobello is a gorgeous, family run property in the Cisterino countryside. It features beautiful Puglian style villas, with original Trullo and the most heavenly pool area. It is a truly tranquil escape and perfect for rest and relaxation. However, if you do want to explore Puglia, it is only a short drive to Ostuni, Monopoli and Poligano a Mare. What makes this place truly special is the beautiful family who run Borgo Altobello. I have been around the world and have never recieved such amazing service and warm hospitality. They made us feel like we were part of their family. Not just because we were staying there, but because they are such genuine, caring and sweet people. I cannot speak highly enough of our experience here, it was unforgettable and we will definitely be coming back for longer next time.

A beautiful small hotel that blends minimalist style with southern charm and local tradition. The bungalow has everything you need for a relaxing stay. The pool is clean and inviting, and the location is perfect — just 10–15 minutes from nearby towns. The drive to the hotel is stunning, with landscapes that feel almost unreal. Big thanks to the amazing hosts for their warmth and hospitality.

The property is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The family who owns and operates the Borgo are so very kind and helpful. The rooms were so spacious and well equipped. They are also well decorated and homey. The property was very quiet and you feel like you have your own space. Also, the location is far enough out in the country that you feel like you are amongst the olive trees, but your are still a quick 5 minute drive to amenities like grocery and cafes. For those looking to stay, be aware that you will need to rent a car to best access Borgo Altobello and the surrounding Puglia countryside and the country roads can be narrow... But they are beautiful!

Very nice group of small individual houses. Very nice Christmas decorations in the whole property. Great location in the middle of vilages of Istria Valley and nearby the sea.

Very beautiful apartment in a delightful location. Everything had been considered to make a great vacation. Facilities were all hi-spec. Staff were so easy to contact with recommendations for restaurants or days out.

This is a generation property owned and managed by a very nice family where one can sense their pride of ownership. A beautiful masseria designed, updated and maintained to very modern standards. Its a great place to get away from the noise, read a book, cook in your own kitchen and absorb the Puglia country side and lifestyle. A very good grocery store is located a 7 minute drive from the property and Alberobello and Ostuni are 30 minutes away

To further enhance the stay, it would be great to have a small couch in the kitchen area for additional seating beyond the table chairs. Additionally, implementing an honesty bar would be a wonderful idea, encouraging guests to sample the excellent local wine available on-site.

We loved our short stay at this property! It is well presented, clean, and the rooms are spacious. The pool area was very relaxing and pristine, perfect for unwinding. The family running the property were welcoming and kind, making us feel right at home. We would definitely return in the future when we are back in this area of Puglia.

As soon as you enter you feel instantly relaxed. We had a 5month old child and they have a small path on the property leading through an Olive Grove and Vegetable patch where you can freely pick any ripe fruit you find. This was perfect to walk along and get the baby to sleep. The facilities were clean, lovely pool and pool area and the staff very friendly would highly recommend.

It was all wonderful. Our smaller double room had a great outdoor space and big spacious bathroom. The main room was quirky and kitchen facilities minimal compared to our co-travellers' 2 roomed apartment but it was sufficient for our needs for a 2 night stay.

the most gorgeous location and property and friendly staff who couldn't do enough, including waiting for us to check in after 11pm when our flight was delayed. Beautiful pool and incredible home produced olive oil too. Definitely recommended.
