How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewTerranura is an amazing gem in the area - beautiful garden, great pool, very nice room. The bed was very comfortable! We loved the breakfast selection. There's a beautiful lido beach just 10 mins walking from the property. And special kudos to Fabrizio! He is an amazing host - always smiling, reachable, happy to help. He provided great recommendations for dinners and beaches and helped with booking reservations. On top of that, Fabrizio surprised us with an excellent bottle of spumante to celebrate our special occasion. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend Terranura to anyone looking for a relaxing time in a private accommodation with amazing facilities. Day trip/dinner in the beautiful baroque town of Noto highly recommended.
Nothing. It was perfect!

Verified reviewTerranura has definitely found a place in our hearts as one of the best stays in beautiful Sicily. The property is stunning, quiet and relaxing, an oasis of tranquillity. Every detail is cared for with true passion for beauty and hospitality. A perfect corner to visit the southern region of Sicily. The location is perfect. Surrounded by the most stunning beaches and incredible towns just a short drive away. Equally, beautiful beaches can be as close as a 10 minutes walk. The room was bright, spacious, spotless clean, modern yet stylish, maintaining the beautiful vibes and finishes of the countryside building where it's built. The staff is probably the highlight. Fabrizio, the owner and manager, is special. He goes above and beyond to make you feel home and has thought of every detail with true dedication. His staff is also very professional, warm and kind, which truly adds to the experience. Can't recommend Terranura more, a stay you'll hardly forget.

Verified reviewOur stay in Terranura was absolutely wonderful. Our host, Fabrizio, did whatever he could to accomodate us and make the stay as pleasant as possible. He arranged reservations for restaurants and beach clubs, made lovely suggestions on which cities to visit, which (wild) beaches are worth a trip and which restaurants to go to, both in town and in other towns. The breakfast is definitely one of the best that can be arranged, with delicious products, a focus on sustainability and minimizing waste. Additionally, he provides the opportunity to have a home cooked meal at the B&B, which was truly delicious and wonderful. The rooms are lovely and clean and a good size to stay in with space for your clothes and luggage. The overall vibe of the B&B was very relaxed and calming, with a lovely pool, sunloungers, space to hang your wet swimwear and towels after a beach or poolday. We had a lovely stay here and look forward to coming back, purely based on the service of Fabrizio alone. We couldn't recommend staying at this B&B more and were very happy to support a small business owner who has such a strong focus on customer service and sustainabillty.

Verified reviewThe owner, Fabrizio, developed the property on his grandparents' farm, and it now has 4 gorgeous rooms, a pool, and lots of plants, fruits and herbs! It's wonderful to see how much he cares. The attention to detail was incredible - from the logo on the towels to the cleanliness of the entire place, and even the app where you can pre-select your breakfast choice (which was always wonderful!). My girlfriend and I had the best 3 nights and hope to return in the future with friends. It is easy to drive to and park inside the complex - Fabrizio met us as we arrived and talked us over everything, offering local recommendations, restaurant bookings, and advising us to visit the beaches 5 minutes down the road - which we did!
We were sad to go home!

Verified reviewWe had a lovely stay at Terranura! From the moment we arrived, Fabrizio made us feel very welcome. The accommodation is modern, clean, and peaceful, with a beautiful pool area. The breakfast was excellent, and we loved being able to order it online the day before – such a great way to avoid any waste. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner one evening, which I highly recommend if you have the time! Fabrizio and his mother are fantastic cooks! 😊 A big thank you to Fabrizio, his family, and the staff for making us feel so welcome. We truly had a wonderful time!

Verified reviewThis relatively new and pristine oasis of calm, serenity, good taste, kindness and beauty makes for a perfect stay near the gorgeous beach of San Lorenzo and is not too far from very attractive places to visit in the Baroque part of Sicily (Noto, Ragusa, Modica, Scicli, ...). We would like to compliment Fabrizio for his outstanding attention during our stay, always there to help, give tips and recommendations, make reservations, and cook the best omelettes ever. Indeed, the breakfast, served at the table, was one of the many highlights of our stay: well-balanced, delicious, fresh and mostly home-made. A great way to start the day. The rooms are tastefully decorated and had all we needed for a very comfortable stay, including and most importantly an excellent bed.
Nothing.

Verified reviewWe had a marvelous stay and would choose again, were we to come back on the area. The property and the rooms are carefully designed and decorated: a tasteful contemporary design meeting sicilian tradition in all comfort. Fabrizio and his staff were super friendly and helpful, with lot of local suggestions. The breakfast was just amazing, the difficult part was to choose what to eat. Would totally recommend.

Verified reviewVery comfortable bed. Best shower in last 10 days in Sicily! Great made to order breakfast. Fabrizio is a fantastic host. Location is few hundred meter from the sea. Within 10 minute drive from Marzamemi. Only 4 rooms so almost private service. Plenty of parking space. Fabrizio is always ready to give restaurant tips and to make reservations.
Noise insulation from the neighbor room can be improved. Water pipes are not perfectly insulated so you hear the water being switched on and off and you hear the neighbors incase they speak loud. You hear the neighbors going to the toilet. Is a tip for Maurizio to improve but is for sure no reason to stay away.

Verified reviewThe host Fabrizio was so efficient, friendly and helpful, with lots of recommendations for places to eat, to suit all budgets. The breakfast was really good and suited us perfectly. His homemade cakes sounded amazing, and would happily have eaten them for tea, but sadly not at breakfast time? Also delicious homemade jam! The room was lovely, with the most comfortable bed, and the best quality bed linen. Everything was spotless. The property is a family enterprise, Fabrizio and his parents really care about it, and it shows.
A kettle in the room would have been good, especially since the nearest cafe was quite a way away. Also, because it was so nice in the evening at the property, it would have been lovely to be able to have a drink there before going out for dinner.

Verified reviewNew property, sparkly clean, very quiet, well appointed and maintained. We highly appreciated the sense of beauty, elegant simplicity and the nod to the myths and legends of the territory present in every single detail of the decor. It is in a beautiful location in Val di Noto, in the middle of the Sicilian countryside, very close to so many pristine beaches, beautiful places to visit, and wonderful restaurants, yet away from all the hustle and bustle of the hot tourist spots, so you can admire the sky, the sea, and smell the land. Breakfast is of superior quality, based on fresh and locally sourced products. Above all, we appreciated the warm and sincere hospitality of the host. Mille grazie, Fabrizio e buona fortuna.
