Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI was disappointed our room didn't have a balcony, but that is probably my fault as we booked kind of late and in a hurry and that was likely all that was still available. I didn't really check when I booked the room.
We enjoyed our stay in Sorrento at Sirentum Rooms. The staff and daily housekeeping were nice and kept the room tidy during our stay. The location is convenient to the train station, the ferry port, and the city center via short walks. I recommend using the sea elevator to get back up from the port though. Speaking of elevators it was nice to have one in the hotel. The included breakfast served to us in our room was very nice and appreciated. I would recommend Sirentum Rooms to anyone looking for a good value and convenient location in Sorrento.

United KingdomIt can be a bit noisy with the verandah door open for fresh air as it overlooks a busy street. Not a major issue to be honest. On our last morning our breakfast wasn't up to the same standard as previous 3. A change of staff, and not serious enough to ruin our experience.
Very close to station and bus stop in Sorrento within 4 to 10 minutes easy walking of all the piazzi and marina. Room is simple.but everything we need is very clean and comfortable. Looks recently refurbished. Found some great restaurants and cafes in the same street. We really enjoyed being served our coffee and continental breakfast on the verandah overlooking the ocean. (Yes, you do have to look over the station first, but it is a good way to start the day)

RomaniaThe property has a great view over Sorrento, very close to the city center and to the bus stop. The room was clean , everything in the room was comfortable. It was a bit cold in the room but you can turn on the air conditioner for more warmth. The owner is very pretty, she prepares us the breakfast and if you have any problem she is very helpful.

BelgiumWhile breakfast is do-able - a one-plate functional tray and prepared by the cleaning lady, and put on your terrace table - there are B&B's that shine a lot more in that area. Also the "human" touch is not around a lot (only in the morning). The rest of the interactions are via Whatsapp and key-boxes ... to get info an access/keys. The room is small but OK. Toiliet/shower/sink is tight with a slide door. Views from the terrace shows the air and city building walls, that's it.
Location of the B&B is all and very ok. Just 1 min - so very close - is the train and a bus terminal, Also 1,5 min out from the B&B is their suggested parking at parcheggio Sorrentino Via Marziale (payable). Keep walking and (also close 5 min) and you get to the Piazza Tasso via the Corso Italia, a main shopping street.

United KingdomCould have had better directions to find the hotel, it's actually an apartment building with the entrance off the main road. I could have done with a photo of the entrance. No answer when I pressed the buzzer as self-check-in. I had to Whatsapp the hotel for instructions on how to get into the hotel/ room when I was outside the hotel. No idea what I would have done if I didn't have roaming on by mobile phone. The room could have done with some coffee/ tea making facilities.
The location is very close to Sorrento train station, my room over-looked it. The hotel is 7-10 minutes walk from the main meeting points for daytrips from where pick-up is from the centre of Sorrento or the coach park. There are restaurants within 10 minutes walk of the hotel, either in the centre or towards the South. The location was quiet and the rooms are secure with even a key to look the bedroom door from the inside separating from the vestibule to the room entrance which has it's own lock too, My room also had a good view of Vesuvius from the balcony. The room and bathroom were large with lots of wardrobe space and a safe. The room was very clean although some large weevils did manage to get into my room, possibly if the balcony doors had been left open at some point. The room had lots of spare sockets to plug chargers in. I only had the breakfast on the one morning when I didn't have a daytrip. Consisted of a hot toasted sandwich, a croissant and a teacake. More than enough. It did concern me though that left over croissants and teacakes were left stacked up in a container as the week wore on. My teacake seemed to be fresh, the croissant less so. Only saw the staff when I was leaving my room in the morning and also when I was checking out. Seemed pleasant enough.

DenmarkOur room had view of the sea but was also above a very noisy street. We didn't mind that much since we were coming back late and tired so we slept well but it might be an issue if someone likes to spend the day at the beach and then evening inside.
We were very happy with our stay, the communication was great and the placement of the b&b very convenient.

United KingdomThe apartment isn’t very well sign posted from the road side but we just had to ask at a local cafe along the road and we found it no problem. For future guests, the doorway is just to the left of the pet shop when you come up the stairs from the train station. We experienced an issue with booking.com prior to our check in where messages were not being received. This was easily resolved when we rang the number on booking.com and Letizia was of help straight away. No real downsides to the property itself other than the sirens with the road being close by. Also there was no long length mirror in the room but other than that it was really good and we enjoyed our stay.
On arrival we were greeted by the lovely Letizia who checked us in and explained breakfast and what was included in our stay. We were shown to our room which had a balcony with a sea view. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. Each morning it was nice to sit out on the balcony and enjoy eating our breakfast. The breakfast was nice, consisting of pastries with Nutella and other savoury bites (as well as refreshments if you wanted them). There was enough hanging space for our clothes and the bed was huge & I found it comfortable. The WiFi was really good as well. The location was great, only 5 mins from the train station and roughly a 10/15 minute walk to the square and marina area. Letizia was good at communicating with us throughout our stay and always ensured we were looked after should we need anything. There was a problem with the AC on our first night which was fixed the next day and allowed for a more enjoyable experience for the remainder of our time.

Location was very very centrally located to downtown, great restaurants, bus and taxi. Google maps sent us to a different location..we had to ask a local to call the place for us, then she opened the door because it was locked and no one available. Once she opened the door, she was EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. It would have been very helpful to have a sign outside the door on the procedure. It was 93 degrees in the hot sun trying to enter. Every door was locked..again no directions :/

United KingdomFine touches are required in the bathroom (the sink drain is partially blocked, shower door not wanting to stay fully closed at times) but nothing to ruin our stay. You need to be a bit tall to use the wardrobe shelves.
Great location, close to Sorrento's centre, the train and bus station. Lots of shops and restaurants in close proximity. Breakfast, with not too many options but ok for the start of the day. Letizia was welcoming and extremely helpful. We had issues with the shower head, but that was quickly fixed after reporting it. Clean room and comfy bed. We read reviews of other guests complaining about noise at night, but our room was quiet, so we slept very well. The only issue we had was with the water meter in the balcony that, at times of high water usage (evening peak), it was making a bit of cracking noise, but we just ignored it. Overall, it was a very good option for a few days in Sorrento.

United StatesThere is no front desk, so getting into the facility was like a video game quest: Call the number texted to you, get directions to the lock box, find the lock box, enter the code, get the keys, find the room (there are 5 rooms occupying a part of one floor).
Breakfast was very good, served by the lovely Letizia, location was good and the room was clean. Although our room was small, it was perfectly adequate as a landing place after a busy day.
