We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is soooooo good. Also the atmosphere of the building is very nice, the garden looks very cute. Wifi, ac, water etc everything worked well. Check in and out was very easy.

CanadaA bit stuffy, maybe lack of ventilation. Also, what happened to the second B in B&B? You should just call it a bed in Lecce, not a bed & breakfast.
Fantastic location, we really felt like home. Close to everything. At first the neighbours were very loud, but the staff was quick to respond and the last days were very quiet. We really enjoyed our stay. We even managed to find free parking at a walking distance.

Italy(3 people, 2 rooms). The mattress on our room was heavily deformed, with a hollow in the middle. When I contacted the host, he mansplained me that: 1)the bed is fine, maybe it is me who is not used to sleep on a different bed than my own; 2)that maybe we (me and him) do mean different things when we say "deformed mattress" because his mattresses are extremely confortable; 3)that I could always leave and find another place to stay, having the remaining days reimboursed (thank you very much for allowing me to leave!); 4)that no-one ever complained before aboout the bed and dared me to find 4 bad reviews which mentioned this, if I could find them, the stay would have been for free (BTW, there are such bad reviews on Booking, they are true, trust them); 5)that even if I leave a bad review, it will not impact the god rating he has on Booking. Then a room got freed on the morning of the third day and he suggested to move us there, and it was much better and we could finally sleep. By the third day though, cockroaches started to appear in the other room and in the new room; I contacted the host again and someone came to clean the rooms on the same morning. It remains unknown if anyone would ever have cleaned the rooms (or changed any towels) during a 4-night/5-day stay if it was not for the cockroaches who paid us a visit! (Thank you cockroaches). (Message in a bottle: if you know that the place is prone to cockroaches, why don't you have it cleaned everyday?) No courtesy bottle of water on arrival, no kettle to boil some water nor any other way to make yourself an instant coffee or a tea, no cleaning service as well. It's just literally a (unconfortable overpriced) room. Ah, of mansplaining there was plenty, though.
