How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room we stayed in was excellent, with superb views over part of Siena. The location is excellent, close to IL Campo. Anna and Leo are very friendly and helpful, pointing out where to eat, to see, and how to get there. The arrival instructions were clear and comprehensive, sent to us in advance. We would definitely stay there again.

Absolute winner of all our stays in Italy. The place is located 3 minutes walk from the main square, in a backyard of the historical buildings. It has so much atmosphere! An it is so professionally and easthetically pleasingly renovated. The rooms are very modern and clean with a perfect design. The shared area for relaxation and breakfast has two "floors" and it has a super "good vibes" feeling. It really is hard to leave the place - eventhoug all around you is a beautiful town of Siena! I def recommend to stay for more days, so you can also enjoy the place itself, it is a pitty to just sleep there and go. Last but not least - Anna is a super host, very helpful, nice and caring. I just wanna go back right now!

Anna and Leopoldo were amazing, friendly and chatty. They prepared an amazing breakfast for us with homemade cakes and so many treats! the self check in works really well and gives flexibility. the location is central and close to nice restaurants. recommended!

I liked everything!
Great cosy apartment in a beautiful location in Siena. Everything is on a walking distance. Parking could be found outside the via Romana, there is a garage also. Tasty breakfast and great cappuccino. Host Anna and her husband were very helpful, polite, and friendly! 10 out of 10!

What an amazing location, we were greeted with such kindness by Anna and Leo and this continued throughout our stay. The room was fantastic, clean, modern, and had a fantastic view, is a fairytale place.

Very charming and comfortable B&B. I particularly appreciated the quality of the bed: I never found a bed as comfortable in a B&B (or hotel) before. The personnel was as helpful as one could ever wish, from welcoming me before the official check-in time to pamper me with all kind of treats for breakfast.

We loved everything about this B & B! The historic property is beautiful and peaceful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely as were the hosts, Anna and Leopoldo and Susan. The hosts were willing to help us make reservations or give suggestions on places to go. They were responsive when we had questions. The self check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. We loved this property and will stay again if we travel to Siena. The location is also an easy walk to Piazza del Campo, Siena Cathedral, and so many eateries and shops. Highly, highly recommend.

The B&B was located in a wonderful location near the campo but not on a street that was overwhelmed by tourists. The breakfast was generous with many options. The host was very helpful with great suggestions for less touristy places to eat and also so helpful identifying a range of parking options. BTW, the B&B is lovely, very clean, and comfortable. Our room was great and had a wonderful view.

Clean, modern furnishings in a beautiful building with a lovely courtyard. Anna was fantastic with her communication, recommendations and advice for seeing Siena. The breakfast was exceptionally good.
