How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The bed was uncomfortable/too hard, I could feel all the metal springs in the mattress.

We had street view room and it was fairly noisy at night.

Windows offer no sound protection at all. Microwave available in the room, but no cutlery of any kind.

Value for money
Great location and friendly staff. The espresso machine in the apartment was a nice touch! There’s an elevator in the building, so carrying luggage is easy and convenient. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

The location was perfect! The exact center, close to the train station, many restaurants and shops nearby! It was really nice only a bit cold at night. The owner was very nice

The bathroom is separate from the room, so it’s not very convenient to walk through the corridor.

The Wifi was a bit slow, otherwise everything was great. Just know that the bathroom is separate from the room, as advertised.
Location was amazing, as was the room itself and the overall cleanliness. Top stay for a shorter period of time!

I think the wifi could've been better. Not sure why the signal showed three signal lines but at times I couldn't send information and would have to switch to my data plan. Not sure it was because many people were using one wifi network or something else.
This airbnb is in a great location just near the Bergamo central area. Bergamo is also a lovely family friendly neighborhood. It is a 5 minutes walk from the train station and multiple bus lines running to Citta Alta (old town). I booked the junior suite with the attached bathroom (picture a master bedroom with a bathroom) and it was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Recommended for anyone visiting Bergamo!

An old type of accommodation that could do with an update but no real issue as it was clean.
Great location near the station, the lady at check was very nice and helpful and the room was clean.

Doors creak, not sure guests in other rooms are happy in the night. Wifi was not the best.
Very nice lady as a host. Location - could be better? Close to stations (bus and railway), airport bus stop around a corner. Very clean. TV had music channels as well as news channels in English.

The window had the blinds closed from outside and from the inside i could not open the windows at all. So i had no view.
Good location, close to Cita alta, clean and there is a coffee maker with coffee capsules in the room.

Very good communication with the host, who was accommodating. Very clean and comfortable room; also has good heating system (important when staying during the winter), perfect location. P.S. you may check with the host other room options if you are looking for a room off high street.

The rental was converted from one or several flats. Each room has its own external bathroo, ours was far from the room. There are several other rooms for other guests and all share a common corridor. Our room was rather small with minimal amenities. We were also charged a small "tourist tax" on top of the price of the room, which wasn't clearly explained when we booked it. The price we paid was comparable to the price of renting a full apartment.
The location is great, within walking distance to many landmarks and the central train and bus station. The host is friendly and responsive.

A kettle in the room would be a bonus and some milk - the room we stayed in faced the rd and no double glazing so you could hear the traffic
Lovely staff, the room is so close to the train station about a 3 min walk and about 6 from the airport (taxi just under 30e which the owner booked for us) very close to all the shops and restaurants.
