Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All facilities and description of the location matched our expectations. Very friendly owners Elena and Adriana who were very helpful with local advice and information. Great village area away from the tourist trail, but close enough to beautiful beaches and the coastline.

'Bed & Breakfast' and 'double room with private bathroom' (from the Booking.com description) are far understated and do not do the apartment justice. It is a completely newly furnished and above all very clean apartment with additional (delicious!) breakfast - i.e. not like a classic B&B, but a self-contained apartment instead. The apartment is more spacious than it looks on the photos. All around, the apartment has everything you need, and much more than you would expect: from coffee capsule machine to life-saving fly screens on all the windows. Anyone who's a little sensitive to mosquitoes or gnats (common in Italy in September) you are absolutely shielded here and can bravely open windows at all time - this is a priceless luxury that many accommodations don't offer. The parked car - right in front of the accommodation, just two flat steps to the front door - is secured overnight and you have plenty of space for a larger SUV, station wagon or van and don't have to worry about scratches. Since everything is flat all around (except for the few low steps to the entrance), the accommodation is also highly recommended for seniors and 'lazy' guests. In direct walking distance you can not report much, but within a maximum of 2 kilometers you can find EVERYTHING you need from pharmacy to gas station to excellent restaurants. To discover the surrounding area gen Udine, Trieste, Gorizia, Grado, etc. (all reachable in max. 20-40 minutes by car). For those who want to see a lot and do not want to change accommodations every day - there is hardly a better central camp, as you are in close proximity (3-5 minutes by car) to various highways in all directions. Last but not least, Adriano and his wife, are very, very, very lovely and caring and they genuinely wish their guests a great stay. Booking.com accommodations with a 9.9 rating may seem fake, but they really do exist! Absolutely recommended!
