How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Location is not the closest, but it's relatively close, but Caruso was a great stay. Don't expect American breakfast, but good food nonetheless.
Excellent service. Angelo was kind, flexible, and helped us with luggage.

Every 30 minutes starting in the morning till late evening a train is passing near the backyard of the property
The location is really good. Short walk from Sorrento center. The host was very cooperative, and communication with him was easy and quick.

Our stay at Caruso was excellent. Angelo was extremely welcoming and made us feel very comfortable right from the start. The location of the accommodation is simply perfect — we were able to walk back and forth from the train station, even with our luggage, which was very convenient after a long bus ride. The facility met all our needs and everything worked as expected. We have nothing to complain about. For anyone planning to visit Sorrento, this is definitely a great option. Convenience, comfort, and great service all in one place.

The room is very spacious and clean. Our host, Angelo, is very helpful as well with breakfast and coffee prepared every morning! I would highly recommend this place for a stay in Sorrento, definitely coming back if I have the chance!

Nothing, everything was perfect.
The property was clean and had all amenities you expect from a hotel. This was much better compared to our other stays in Italy. The host Angelo was very gracious, helpful and responded immediately to any queries. The morning breakfast was honestly refreshing before our day trips. P.S. Angelo makes a great cappuccino.

Angelo was an amazing host, super friendly and attentive. He was great at recommending places to visit. He also put out an excellent breakfast spread in the morning and made coffee at request!! Everything was super clean and well organised. The property itself is a great location, walking distance from center of sorrento. Over all an excellent stay and we are definitely coming back!

Unfortunately, the water pressure was very low. After complaining about it to the owner, I was told off and ignored. That saddened me as everything else about the accommodation was very nice. When you can't have a proper shower, you can't enjoy your holiday.
The room was spacious and clean. The accommodation was quite close to the centre of Sorrento on foot. Breakfast was tasty.

We only stayed two nights and there was all we needed especially a kettle and tea.😄
The room was very clean and comfortable with rope lights and music around the bed which makes a nice atmosphere even during the day.

It’s not a hotel it’s an apartment in a residential building And each room has its own bathroom Location is 10 mins walk from the main station

The location was great for us. Only a 15min walk (if that) to the middle of Sorrento meaning it was quite quiet compared to the business of Sorrento. The breakfast was a great addition with Angelo being very hospitable. The AC worked really well and we felt very safe and very comfortable during our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Lots of little touches like fun lighting, a TV and water supplied on arrival to make it feel nice. Bed was comfy, shower was good, air con functioned really well. It was impeccably clean. Angelo met us right on time and was super welcoming. Breakfast was great and easy - we didn't pay for it in advance so we just messaged him the day before if we wanted it. Good coffee, juice, plenty of pastry options, and toast and fresh ham and cheese available. We were full and satisfied after breakfast. We found it a good location with laundromat nearby and just outside of the super busy touristy section. It was about a 12min walk to the bus/train station and 15mins to the ferry. We were super happy with our accommodation here and would happily stay again. You can tell they have a lot of pride in their hotel. Thanks Angelo!

Nothing but some people may not like noise from the train. Didn't bother us and I don't think the trains ran throughout the night.
Everything was perfect for the price we paid. Was nice to have a fridge with freezer section in our room. It's about 10 mins walk to the main station and 15 minutes into the main square. Some lovely bars and restaurants within easy distance.

The street was a bit loud.

I stayed at Caruso Rooms for several days. The room was very clean and very well presented. I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and the manager was very friendly and helpful. I was very happy with my stay.
