How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewHost, his service was excellent. Nice room. Very clean. Beautifully in the mountains. Perfect for taking a drive to visit Pompeji. Or explore the virus from the mountain top. Driving along the coast. Nice to have secure parking. Breakfast was adjusted to what we liked. Water bottles are added every day in the refrigerator. Good isolation from traffic noise when windows closed. The local restaurants are good, the host was driving us so we could have wine. For swimming and sun bathing I would recommend Meta private beach.
How people in Italy drive. You need a (small) car to visit, (it is a bus passing sometimes during the day) but I recommend a car that is small because the roods are narrow. Don't expect many public batplaces (at least not nice) around Sorento. They are private palaces if you pay that are ok.

Verified reviewGreat location, beautiful environment and super clean. The owner is wonderful. They left us a nice selection of wine, sodas and snacks in the room. He helped us a lot and dropped us off at the starting point of a hike, to restaurants etc. (and the train station when the bus didn't show up :-) ). We were hiking so for hikers it is perfect.
Nothing-simply wonderful
It was a pleasure making your acquaintance, Grazie

Verified reviewThe property is clean and comfortable with amazing view. There is park place for your convenience. Above all Vinchenco is amazing host I’ve ever met. He was incredibly helpful and kind person.
Due to the closed road the property was a bit further from Positano than we expected. lack of luck But Vincenzo made everything possible to show us the right road to not get lost. Amazing host

Verified reviewIt was the first time on a B&B and it was the best experience ever! Vincenzo is a great host, very thoughtful, helpful and kind. He gave us good tips of where to go, told us about the local restaurants, area and, it made us feel at home and as well as part of the family. Lovely people, an amazing B&B, with a spacious room, spotless, with all the amenities and welcome treats, a lovely balcony where we could have some breakfast, and by the way, what an amazing breakfast - presentation, local ingredients, tasty, it was delicious. This B&B has an extra, as we could go on a hiking through the path down the mountain enjoying the nature and the amazing views to get to Positano. Go prepared for a hiking. I honestly recommend this B&B as everything was amazing, lovely and great. I was looked after and treated better in here than in many 5 stars hotels. And people, it is what makes it even better. Thank you so much to Vincenzo and his wife for one of my best stays ever. You both deserve the world and you both mean the world to us! See you soon.
I have nothing bad or less good to say. It exceeded all the expectations.

Verified reviewVincenzo and his wife were lovely. Gorgeous room. Great breakfast brought to the room on a trolley! Very well stocked room with drinks, snacks etc... Sweet little town but quite quiet. Hairy, exciting roads going down the mountain to the sea but great fun. Vincenzo was born in the UK so speaks English fluently. Free parking within the grounds - very important because parking on the Amalfi coast costs a fortune.
Nothing at all although it is a quiet area so no mad nightlife.

Verified reviewA lovely host, helpful and communicating. Very good breakfasts. Apartment was very well equipped, spacious and clean. We found a lovely surprise in our kitchen, all ingredients for a traditional Italian dinner and a bottle of wine.
Only one thing that bothered us was a noise front the road

Verified reviewA well-priced bed and breakfast in an ideal location. Vincenzo is a wonderful host and helps with finding taxis, providing an overview of the area, and more. He communicates quickly and was a great help. The rooms and bathroom are clean and quite well-equipped. Do note that the location (Moiano) is on a mountaintop. Positano is a two-hour hike away (and can be strenuous, at least during the summer), though the hike provides stellar views of the Amalfi Coast. It takes around forty-five minutes by bus to get to Vico Equense (where you can find regular trains to Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Naples). If you are fit and would like to walk during your trip to the Sorrentine Peninsula, this is an excellent option.

Verified reviewThe B&B is very good indeed! Vicchenzo is a good host and he was available to every question or need we might’ve had. Moiano, which is the location of the B&B is a very nice town in the mountains, although it is a little too far to plan your holidays in the Amalfi coast. Maybe it’s good if you chose to go to the Sorrento Coast. We were able to do the path to Positano (walking) and it took 3 long hours to get there. It is a really beautiful path, but you would not choose it for doing it everyday. Going to Positano by car will take you around 2 hours. And to Amalfi 30 to 40 minutes more. In general we had a good stay and we were able to have beautiful scenes as we drove. So if this is your choice, be ready to spend most of your time in the car.

Verified reviewVincenzo was the best host my family and I have ever experienced. He made sure our stay was absolutely perfect from the very start. He drove us back and forth from the town's train station several times throughout our visit. Helped us get in contact with local restaurants when our phones were not working. His wonderful wife also makes the best breakfast. Our room was also exceptionally clean and stored with everything we needed. The best stay we have ever had! We cannot wait to revisit!
Nothing, everything was perfect.

Verified reviewThe room was very spacious with a balcony. The location of the hotel is very good for hikers, offering a spectacular view of the coast and Positano with a small 20 minute walk (alternatively, the owner can send you up). Additionally, there was free water, seltzer water, soft drinks, and a coffee machine with a variety of coffee pods. The service was fantastic — we had fantastic breakfasts, and the owner was very friendly. The owner helped drive us to restaurants and the train station, and also offered to bring us to several other places. The owner also provided some great recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area, as he is a long-time local.
