Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NorwayThere is not much to complain about, but since I choose to be completely honest in my feedback, I want to give this as a constructive feedback. The food/lunch we ordered was very disappointing compared to everything else and the standard of the place. I ordered a spaghetti pomodoro and have eaten this before many times in Italy, this was the worst I have eaten.
Staff were SO friendly and service minded! All of them! SO kind and had such enthusiasm for what Argiano which they represent. Fantastic place. Like a dream. Would have done everything to stay at Agriano for a few more days, unfortunately it was fully booked. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, the scents, the view, the garden, all the flowers, the interior. Everything is just la dolce vita 100%. Everything is completed. Just magical! I will say once again thank you so much for everything! I will never forget Argiano. The most beautiful place I have been to.

United KingdomAt this price point it's pretty disappointing to only get 1 bottle of water for the whole stay. Just wished they charged a few extra euros a night and give you as much as you want. If you booked each night separately you would get a bottle every night. There is no benefit in staying if just going for the wine. Let's start with the obvious they make the stuff. Not even a free glass for residents, you want to taste wine it's extra, you want to visit cellars it's extra. You even pay an extra 7 euros per bottle to have in their restaurant over shop price. Just pop into Montalcino, you can taste their wine at the many wine shops via enomatic wine dispensers and buy it cheaper, for example 2012 Brunello is 135 euros in their shop, we saw it twice in town at 98 euros, that's no small difference. To add insult to injury you can find it cheaper in UK. Just seems commercially unintelligent to me. Castello Banfi give guests 15% per bottle discount, it makes more sense. Makes you feel a value in staying, plus let's face it they are still making more money themselves than a bottle you buy direct than a bottle that's gone to a wholesaler/retailer. Baffling you have this amazing winery, but whats the benefit of staying?
Amazing location with stunning views. Staff and service was excellent. Great dining experience

RomaniaAmazing location in a beautiful renovated 16th century villa with a lot of history behind. The cellar with library of Brunello di Montalcino from several wineries in the area was a very pleasant surprise. Do not hesitate to take one of the tours. Quiet and peaceful area with stunning view over Tuscany’s hills. Outstanding services (grazie mille Gaia and restaurant team) and a perfect location for our marriage anniversary.

United KingdomCompletely appreciate that due to the rural location these things cannot really be helped, but the giant hornets at night made the walk back to the room slightly scary!
The property was stunning! The grounds, rooms, restaurant, pool area were all beautiful. Everything was super clean & well maintained and all the staff were lovely. We had a private wine tour & tasting which was amazing to find out more about the wine produced & see the private cellars, and also made use of the bikes provided for a cycle around the vineyards & olive groves. Breakfast was lovely and we ate at the restaurant two nights which was exceptional. Cannot recommend a private Tuscan break here enough.

AustraliaBeautiful in every way; the property, location and facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much. Our car had a puncture and the property manager Mario assisted us in getting it repaired by a local garage. The cellar is also amazing! We were provided with wonderful local recommendations for dinner, Il Leccio, Il Pozzo, both great food and service.

Czech Republic- one bottle of water for the whole stay -very loud ventilator in the bathroom and no shelf for personal staff as make-up and toiletries - no a la cart dinner - you have to pay 80€ per person for 4 course menu (so if you dont want to eat that much or spend 80€ every day, you have to travel somewhere) - very poor breakfast, very little to choose from, no vegetables, no nuts, no eggs (if you ask you can order eggs- but nobody will offer you that) - communication only via whatsapp - there is nobody by the pool- so if you want to order something you have to send a message to the reception so they will reach the kitchen and they will bring it) -pictures shows that you eat breakfast outside, but breakfast was served inside even thought it was amazing weather - no welcome drink - you are in the wine relais and you dont get wine or prosecco as a welcome drink (for that money you pay, you expect that)
-Amazing staff, everybody was very very friendly and helpfull -Beautiful surroundings and gardens -Comfortable bed -parking
