Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe washing machine and microwave wasn't clean and the keys were a bit of a pain because the bunch can't be separated so at night you can't really see what your doing once your in or leave the electricity on to charge things whilst out. Overall it was a nice stay though
Apartment was very big and decorated nicely. Location was really good. Round the corner from the train station and a 30 minute walk to Sorrento centre with two small kids, also the area it is in has plenty there as well. Andrea met us at the apartment and was very helpful and went through everything we needed to know whilst also giving us tips with local restaurants and beaches. He was always available but still left us to it.

United StatesWe did not like or expect scaffolding, netting, and workers surrounding every window of the 6th floor apartment. It was not disclosed when making the reservation. We spoke to the management company about moving. They had nothing available. We hoped for a concession. Nothing was offered. The views were blocked by netting and scaffolding. The advertised roof view wS full of debris.
Clean, close to station. Comfortable beds, everything inside was perfect.

IsraelNot enough toilet paper! City taxes apply.
Very nice and well-equipped apartment. The location is great, near a nice supermarket and a train station. It’s also very close to a good restaurant that specializes in grilled chicken. There is a car park located a 5-minute walk away, but it is quite expensive compared to the city. The apartment located on the 6th floor, there is an elevator. Nice view of the mountains from the interior room.

AustraliaStaff were late despite consistent communication about when we would be arriving.
The place was very lovely! It was super close to the train station, and by a great restaurant. Lots of great things nearby. Could even walk to Sorrento if needed. The kitchen and bathroom were really well stocked which was great.

SpainFor tourists who want a bit more life around them (restaurants etc), maybe being a little closer into Sorrento would be best (we travelled in there most evenings, either by train or walking, which is around 30 minutes). Cristina has options of other apartments. To get to Amalfi, the tourist bus is super-busy with very long queues (it did not stop for us in Sant'Agnello so we had to travel into Sorrento to try and get it), so we decided to drive which was fine as far as Positano, but make sure it's a small car and be a fairly confident driver!
Very nice apartment in a good location. Sant'Agnello is a nice area and we were right by the train station which means access to Sorrento, Pompeii etc very handy. The restaurant downstairs served good pizza. What made it extra-special was the host, Cristina, who is charming and extremely helpful with advice about how and when to visit places. She was super attentive throughout and responded really quickly to questions on Whatsapp. We used the parking service offered at 20 euros per day and the man brought the car to us when we needed, which was great (parking on the street is restricted to one hour so not really an option). The apartment itself is spacious and the kitchen well stocked. Perfect for a family of four, or for a couple. We would return.

AustraliaNothing, it was amazing :)
The place was absolutely fantastic, so much space for a couple, much bigger than the photos suggest! Only a couple of minute walk from the train and bus stations, and the rooftop view was amazing. Thank you Nando for the hospitality. Highly recommend!

IndiaBuilding was little old BUT HAS A ELEVATOR. It was 5 minutes drive from Sorrento but coming late is little tricky via public transport but you can walk for 2-3 kms and you are there.
Location was right above the bus stand and railway station was just 150 meters. There is an elevator. The host was extremely awesome and the hospitality is exceptional. They helped us get a scooter and everything was very clean hygienic and we'll equipped. From breakfast material to pasta and sauces and WINE everything was kept in there ready for us. Having issue with bathroom the host was right a message away and was there on door in 5 minutes after the call. Must must stay if you are looking for a place calm near Sorrento

CanadaAbsolutely no complaints.
The most comfortable, clean apartment. This apartment has absolutely everything you need - the well stocked kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, the bed is supremely comfortable and the view is stunning. A very high end apartment offering superior comfort. Amazing, responsive host. Steps away from the train station, yet extremely quiet and relaxing inside. A very nice grocery store almost across the street. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Australia- The lift in the building is small just like all lifts are in Europe in general. We opted to take the stairs just for fun & fitness which was OK.
This suite is clean and beautifully presented! From the minute you set a foot in it, you feel comforted by the deco and the layout of the place. The view from the bedroom window is gorgeous. The attention provided by the host all details including the welcome tray of champs, juice and snacks was such a lovely surprise! There are also some food varieties provided in the fridge and cupboards that are free of charge which was really lovely and enjoyable. The toiletries are supplied in generous amounts. It was just like heaven to arrive here after a long and stressful trip from Rome. Also, there is a great supermarket, shops and restaurants within walking distance. It is close to the bus, train and other amenities which was so convenient.
