How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewIt's better than what is mentioned on Booking. Comments were accurate. Andrea was absolutely nice. Had a 3 person bedroom for myself.
Not much, some people a bit noisy, but they had a baby so it's expected, I still slept perfectly.

Massively over-priced.
You would have been better off not coming to the area during the Formula 1 Grand Prix regarding the rate, however, denigrating an activity just because it is considered too high-paid is truly dishonest. At this point it would be better if I had made you pay for the garage to store your tandem. Young couple? Perhaps in spirit. Are you saying there was a glass missing in the room? Maybe ask, right? We have available glasses, napkins, dinner plates and soup plates, forks, knives, spoons, teaspoons, sachets of sugar, salt, vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, then sewing kits ... and lots and lots of courtesy and personal availability, everything this in a 1 star hotel. Breakfast is also available in agreement with an excellent patisserie bar in the area, obviously depending on the rate chosen, but I understand that when the fundamental aspect is money, spending even a few euros more can be a problem. I would like to say that it was a pleasure having you as guests but that would be a bit of a lie. The owner.

Verified reviewThe hostel is old and basic, but it had all the essentials. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. The host kept apologizing for how simple the accommodation was, but honestly, it was a very comfortable stay. Close to restaurants and bars, it was easy to grab a quick coffee before setting off in the morning. Host was very kind and welcoming.
I was hiking the Via Degli Dei and this accommodation is a little far off the trail. Not a complaint, just something to note.

Verified reviewGood location, friendly and welcoming owner and good price-quality. Since there were no other guests I had the shared room by myself which was excellent. Don’t know if it would be the same sharing the room with 3…..
All was fine only the bathroom could have an update. Especially when there are more guests just a shower would be a lot more convenient and cleaner then a shower in a bathtub.

Verified reviewThe bed and the bed sheets were looking noticeably clear. The price was the lowest around. The person that gave me the key was trying to be as friendly as he could, I guess that he is the owner. I was lucky and I was the only one in a 3-beds room.
I have a feeling that the owner is trying to improve this building with zero cost, and I respect that. On the other hand, almost everything except the beds were looking old, like really old! The environment made me feel like I was in a creepy place. The biggest negatives are two: 1. They don't have a cabinet that is able to lock, in terms of security it is a big problem. 2. The WiFi was not working as expected! They gave me two routers to connect to but both of them were disconnecting the whole time.

Verified reviewThe worker who tended to me was quite accommodating. He speaks English clearly if you are not yet proficient in Italian. The hotel is next to what looks like a gas station. There is a food market within 100 meters. It is also a short walk from the stop on the train line from Bologna. It is a good first stop if you’re hiking “the path of the god’s”. It’s about 20-25 kms from the start.
Mind you that I stayed there In January and I imagine the other seasons are a different story, but it was a place that seemed to lack much light. I did notice a balcony that would be a big asset in the summer. My room was supposedly a bargain but I guess coming from the Midwest of my country, everything in this area seems high priced to me anyway. You California people would probably say it’s great in price.
