Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe building is old (which is gives the place its character) but the humidity inside was not healthy for us ( we all suffer from allergies though, so it might not be a good fit for us)- also the apartment was not too clean.

GeorgiaAn absolutely stunning and wonderful place! The hosts were incredibly attentive and kind — they helped carry our bags and even upgraded our room. The villa is nestled in a forest in the mountains, where you can take peaceful walks in the morning and evening, enjoying the silence and the delicious scent of the woods. Dinner was worthy of a Michelin star, and breakfast was simple, truly natural, and delicious. This place is absolutely amazing!

Hong KongThe owners' two dogs are cute but barked quite a lot on the second night.
It's an absolutely unique experience to stay in Tuscan hill for my European summer trip. If you are into nature/outdoors, it's the ideal place for you- tranquil and green. You stay in the nature with nice facilities and food, what else will you ask for? My room is cozy and comfortable to stay (it has everything you need), I wake up in.birds singing. Appreciate the owners' taste on details, such as little fresh flowers in my room and dining tables. Free buffet breakfast are amazing, especially when you are staying.in.the nature; fruits, cheese, yogurt, cereals, bread, cookies, juice, eggs, generous supply. You can.also order meals there. The owners were very kind to.pick me up in the.town as I relied on public transportation. Their place locates on tophill, 15 km away from Radda in Chianti. They also arranged a free car ride for me back.to.town.after checking out. I.will.defintely.go.back.and.stay.longer next.time. Thanks for.the owner's advise on hiking trails, I had a.nice.adventure- hiking alone in Tuscan forest (nobody seen but safe)

ItalyEverything was great. Nothing to complain about.
The owners of this cozy hotel on top of the highest hill in the Chianti region are great people and they're there for a reason: they love nature and want their guests to feel as comfortable as possible in a place they tuly cherish. My only regret is having had little time to enjoy that little corner of heaven and no time at all to hike. Food and wine were excellent too.

United KingdomThe 2km dirt track was very drivable but leaves one with a irritatingly constantly dirty car. Tips: a) approach from the east - the route from Greve involves about 9km of dirt track, which takes forever. b) if you are a large person, request a room which has a an ‘adult size’ shower cubicle.
Alice and Danielle were consistently excellent hosts. Location was rural and tranquil. Restaurant menu was varied, interesting and cooked to perfection. Equitemporal from Firenze and Siena and in the heart of beautiful Chianti countryside. Dog friendly, which adds to the conviviality.

TurkeyNot a particular thing that comes to my mind.
First of all, this was a wonderful experience for us to stay in Villa San Michele, within the nature and with our lovely hosts. There are some details below that may be useful for the guests: General: This is a place that is at the start of a national park's hiking route and is covered by many trees. The nature was magnificent, you can take hikes, chill in the facility with the fresh weather or take your kids to the plain grass to play (there is also a children's park inside the facility) Transportation: When you go by car, it is mostly really comfortable and there is only 2 km's of dirt road, which is not a problem to drive through. The place is close to many small towns by being in the center of the Chianti region. Facility: The room that we stayed had a really wonderful view and was very large. The furniture was vintage -which we really liked the style-. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast is included and was rich, additionally you can choose to book a dinner and the food&wine was really good in the restaurant as well. You can have drinks&snacks during the day from the bar if you are staying inside the facility and chilling. Staff: The place is run by a very wonderful couple, who were always helpful and friendly. We enjoyed all the chats we had with them and they helped us a lot on the places that we can see around. I guess this is one of the most important things that brings a character to any place that we stayed before.

IsraelNOTHING.
It is an abandoned church at a middle of a national park, San Michelle. The owners, Danielle and Alice, have reconstructed it to serve as an Albergo. It has a restaurant for breakfasts for the guests at the morning, and a operating restaurant at the evening and they are glad to help with every question that may arise. They hosted us with whole of their heart and we are thankful for that! The room was extremely nice, clean and comfortable. They have a stunning view to the woods, and a terrace for the guests. Just note that it is remote, and there is a bit of dirt road arriving there from Greve.

United StatesThe beautiful hotel is in a huge natural forest with lots of hiking trails. It is high above Greve in Chianti, with loads of wildflowers, hazelnut trees, oak trees, and lots of animal life. The park offers picnic tables and views. Daniele and Alice bend over backwards to make you feel like part of the family, and Alice’s cooking is amazing! Daniele is a great server and host. This place is magical!

PolandVilla San Michele was a fantastic experience. You get there by gravel road which can only be considered as as breathtaking as views are great especially if you take dirty road from Rada di Chiante. Do not worry, every car will make it! Rooms are superb clean and decorated with taste. We were lucky to get an upgraded room with sun set view! Alice and Daniel are serving very tasty and unique cuisine, one you cannot experience on one of street restaurants. Two fire places, food, wine and great views will make your dinner unforgettable. If we will ever be back to Tuscany this will be our stay. Thank You Alcie and Daniel.!
