Nice family driven hotel with private lake access/beach (charge of EUR 10 per sunbed)

It was all good, nothing was bad! It would have been nice to be able to enjoy a simple meal on the terrace and have tea or coffee available in the room.

Location is superb... directly on the lake and supported by private beach and deck chairs. It's very picturesque and we loved having a room with a balcony. Breakfast was more than adequate with cereals, fresh fruit, breads and pastries as well as cold cuts.

The hotel was a distance from the ferry stop for the lake and involved a walk uphill to the Santa Caterina convent stop. Doable but more taxing when really hot! However when we got there, there was a lift down to the ferry stop which was very useful!

Beautiful location, stunning views, with a little private beach on the lake. The hotel owners were lovely and couldn't do enough for us.

Decor was dated and sun loungers on the hotel terrace were 10 euros per person per day. It was a shame they weren’t included.

The staff is really nice, helpful and always available ! Excellent. We will certainly go back there next time. There is no restaurant but there is a very welcoming one quite nearby.

The hotel is a little tired now and quite expensive for the rating of the hotel. Luckily it wasnt excessively hot when we stayed but it definitely could do with air conditioning or fans.

Very welcoming hotel with very accommodating and helpful staff. The location was beautiful by the lake and views were spectacular. Breakfast was very tasty and lots of choice.

There was no AC in the rooms and unfortunately due to the hotel's proximity to a very noisy restaurant that became a disco on the night we were there, we didn't sleep well at all. We were left with the choice of closing the windows and having very hot rooms, or opening the windows and having the noise from the disco/party blaring in the room. We wish this had been disclosed. The beds were also fairly stiff, but that was the lesser of the issues.

The staff, view and location on the lake were the best aspects of the hotel.

The only small disappointment was the beds and pillows were very hard for me.

We stopped here for one night during a road trip...the location was stunning and convenient, staff friendly and helpful. There are restaurants close by for dinner too. Private, convenient parking right outside. The hotel, whilst dated, had a homely charm which we loved, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Overall just a wonderful charming place to stay.

To clarify: We booked two nights and ended up staying only one, leaving earlier than planned and losing the money for one night. We were unfortunately pretty disappointed by the hotel itself. It isn't evident in the pics they provide, but saying the place is dated is an understatement. The room showed heavy usage, at least repainting it every couple years would do good. The bed was really uncomfy, at some point mattresses need to be exchanged. The duvet was a simple wool blanket with a bedsheet underneath. There were ants in the room. The walls are paper thin and the doors to the room also let in every noise from outside. The atmosphere gives "retirement home", but one that you don't want to put your loved ones in. The breakfast was scarce and lacked variety, there wasn't even a single slice of cheese (only some ham). I don't expect tables bending from food and a million options but some healthy options would've been greatly appreciated. If you are looking for a very simple place for one night, go for it. But given all we've seen it's quite the price (170€ / night) for too little value. And upon leaving we were of course asked "oh are you leaving early?!" but when replying "yes, it was not what we expected" we weren't asked any further questions as to what did not meet our expectations or if something could be done so we'd consider staying. So either they don't want to improve or something else is holding them back because that's also no way of handling a situation like this.

The staff was welcoming and sweet, communication and checkin worked really well. The location of the hotel is superb, our room had a balcony directly facing the lake and there's no street or other building in between, so the view is undisturbed and if you like the sound of waves, you'd like this place.
