How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful and unique accommodation in the amazing hilltop town of Labro. The spaces have been renovated in a minimalist calm and relaxing style. Think white walls, ceilings and floors yet retaining its traditional style from the past. Great breakfast also . Room with a lake view. Superb. Would love to come back.

Verified reviewLovely and unique place for a weekend or more in an ancient town with only 45 residents. The landlady, Anna, was very helpful, served us a great breakfast and had a reply to all our questions.
Could not pinpoint any negative issues.

Verified reviewAbsolutely charming place in a set of medieval stone houses that were carefully restored by a Flemish architect, whose wife runs the hotel. Great breakfast, some nice restaurants in town ... Do stop there if you are in the area!. We took a 2 day break on the Via Francesco from Rome to Assisi there and it was a great choice!
In April nights can be cold, thus the breakfast room had a fire going in the big fireplace ... Still a jacket was in order to be comfortable. Obviously, this becomes an asset during hot dinner days!
grazie

Verified reviewHighly recommend! The hotel is situated in a charming, unique village perched atop a mountain, offering breathtaking views of the nearby lake. Set in an old stone building, the hotel has spacious rooms designed with minimalist elegance, creating a serene and comfortable atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly kind and attentive to all our needs, making our stay feel extra special. The breakfast, simple and absolutely delicious was the perfect start to our day. For families with strollers, access can be a bit tricky, but the short walk from the parking lot through the magical village streets is well worth the effort. An unforgettable experience!

Verified reviewAn amazing place for relaxing holidays enjoying the tranquility of a village that retains its character in a resort that has all the comfort that you can have at your own house. A place where you only want to relax, stroll along the cobbled pathways within the village and enjoy from your room the beautiful view of the nearby lake.
The only minor issue that we had to face is that currently there is not a supermarket operating in the village and you have to supply yourself with groceries from the nearby village before going to Labro.

The only thing is that there are no little store or little boutique or museum in the village

Verified reviewThe suites and rooms of both apartments were very nice and well appointed, nicely furnished, kitchen very nice with all necessary utensils, bathrooms are very nice and also well appointed (good hairdryer which is rare to find in small hotels in Italy). The views are breathtaking!
The only negative is to get there. The property is located in a tiny medieval town on top of the mountain. There are small stone roads with stairs up and down. You cannot roll a suitcase at all and the parking is far so it’s best that you take only a small carry on. You need to wear proper walking shoes. There are only 3 tiny restaurants in the village. Osteria Boccondivino is fantastic !

Verified reviewThe room and overall hotel was very charming and beautiful! Room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the lake. The town was very cool to walk around and visit. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and staff was kind.
Our room did have a little bit of an ant issue by our window but it wasn’t a huge problem by any means. Everything else about the room and hotel was perfect. Just a note that this town is pretty small and seemed to have few restaurants open. We pretty much only ate breakfast at the hotel and dinner at a restaurant in town. No lunch options which wasn’t a big problem but something to be aware of. Also the last day we were there nothing was open for lunch or dinner so we were hungry that night. Maybe it isn’t always like this but this was our experience in October.

Verified reviewThe room in which we stayed had a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. The woman who ran the inn prepared a delicious breakfast (scrambled eggs, fresh breads, and cold cuts). The breakfast room was also beautifully appointed.
This inn is definitely not a place for infirm or disabled travelers. The walk from the car park, while not horribly long, is uphill over very rough, uneven pavement. Once you get to the inn itself there are several steep staircases leading to the main door. Then, once inside, there are additional steep staircases up to the room. When we went out for dinner I couldn't find any light switch to illuminate the inn's outside staircases, which can be treacherous in utter darkness. Thank goodness for the flashlight app on my smartphone.

Verified reviewThe location and views were excellent and memorable. We were on a medieval village made up entirely of stone, perched on top of a mountain. The scenery and view of the lake and the surrounding mountains was exceptional. The hotel was an old house refurbished into a hotel. Very comfortable and pleasant. We found the experience of travelling all the way up and down a mountain simply 'cool' and the surrounding areas/regions around Labro is also worth visiting. Highly recommended.
