Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Hosts are super sweet and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The location is perfect, next to the Vatican, near the city center, but pretty quiet at night and safe. Overall perfect for a city break!

United KingdomThe towels were a bit rough and had some little holes, but it wasn’t a major issue.
Danilo and Giulia were truly exceptional hosts who always went above and beyond. Danilo was in touch as soon as I’d booked and was the most responsive, helpful and kind host who made sure I was safe and found everything OK, which I really appreciated as a solo female traveller. Giulia was so lovely and welcoming and I honestly felt like I was staying with friends. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts on the terrace were delightful and the kitchen was immaculately clean and a lovely space to get a cup of tea in the evening. The location was fabulous and meant I could walk to St. Peter’s Square in only 5-10 minutes. I would love to come back!

United KingdomGreat small B&B located just outside the Vatican City. Short walk to St Peter's Square with easy access to public transport, (buses and trains). Good restaurants, cafes and take ways within easy walking distance. Very helpful, communicative staff with a lovely breakfast. They helped to make our stay even more memorable. Open access to the kitchen and small outside terrace was also very welcome. Thank you :)

Danilo was always easy to reach and was open to answering any questions or concerns I had. Giulia and Danilo had breakfast ready for me to take away when I had a packed schedule which was very kind!

United StatesThere is not really anything I would change about our visit. If you are not interested in the Vatican or St. Peter's this might not be the ideal location for you.
Danilo and Gulia were amazing hosts. They were very accessible by WhatsApp as soon as we booked to provide recommendations and helpful information. They made us a full cooked breakfast and coffee every day. We had access to the kitchen at other times. The location was very convenient for visiting the Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. We were such a short walk to the Vatican security line that we were able to have a memorable visit for Christmas without too much trouble. Close to bus/train stops and walking distance to the center and Trastevere. The room was clean and comfortable with firm mattress, good heat, and good water pressure in the shower.

United StatesEverything was great!
The directions were clear to pick up the keys and to unlock the doors. The room was larger than expected and I they supplied everything I needed! I had a big and delicious breakfast every morning! Danilo was excellent at communicating and even helped me catch the train to the location and made it stress free! Upon arrival Guilia handed me a map and gave me several locations to visit and see that were in walking distance such as, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Vatican, Colosseum etc... I felt safe at all times and if I needed anything they were there to help. Danilo also helped me coordinate the taxi to the airport so it was stress free. I'll definitely be back!

It was a pleasure from the start to the end of our stay at Al Ponte Del Papa. I did not want to leave. Danilo and Giulia were kind, helpful and thoughtful. I could not have asked for more. The breakfasts were delicious and having the use of the kitchen and terrace made the experience even greater. I would highly recommend this b & b, which is a short distance from the breathtaking Vatican.

GeorgiaI had an absolutely wonderful stay at Al Ponte Del Papa B&B in Rome. The room was unexpectedly spacious and equipped with everything you might need. It was also impeccably clean, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was delicious, and the apartment boasts a beautiful, green balcony where I enjoyed my morning coffee and breakfast. The kitchen was well-organized, making it easy to prepare meals if needed. The price was very reasonable, and the hosts were brilliant—extremely attentive and helpful. They provided all the instructions to ensure a smooth check-in process, and when we arrived in Rome earlier than expected, they graciously offered an early check-in at no extra cost! This was my fifth visit to Italy, and I have never been as satisfied as I was staying here. I will definitely return to Danilo's place. Highly recommended!

CanadaWe liked everything! Wish we found the property sooner.
The property was very cute and tidy! There’s a nice kitchen and a small patio outside to have coffee. We were also able to leave our suitcases (for free) in the property after check out. The location was great and a nice walking distance to several popular attractions. There also a small store beside the property, which was very convenient! Danilo was very helpful and friendly!! He replied quickly and was very patient with providing instructions and information. We had to leave early the next day, but he prepared breakfast (to-go) for us! He also helped us book an airport transfer service. We will definitely come back! Thank you for a great stay!

United StatesNothing bad can be said about this place
This is an exceptional place to stay, every morning you will get an amazing homemade breakfast. Both of us are vegan and we had at least very different vegan breakfasts during our stay. The location is just near the Vatican and only 15 minutes walk to the old city, there are plenty of busses that will take where ever you want to go in Rome. The hosts are probably the best we ever had, any questions we had, they were more than happy to help with, the best food locations, a variety of places to visit, organizing a taxi to the airport and great conversations overall. One thing we learned while in Italy, is that people like to use WhatsApp as a way of communicating, so if you have the app it is very useful. When we travelled through the day Dani (the host) would quickly answer us whenever we had questions. It also used by many Taxi companies.

United StatesJust the shower. A little on smaller side. However, works extremely well.
B&B is within walking distance of the Vatican. Has an Italian feel. The decor is warm. With modern upgrades. The internet connection was seamless. Our daily breakfasts were simply delicious. The air conditioning in the room was excellent. The room windows have wooden shutters that block the sun out and add shade to the room. The room was big could have fit 3 people. The beds were comfortable. Very clean. When we made a day away from Rome a breakfast to go was prepared for us. Our hosts were very attentive and welcoming. Provided us with information of the city. And answered any questions we had. They informed us of the Pope speaking when we were not aware. Very unexpected surprise. Danilo provided us information regarding trains & buses to make our transportation needs easier. Our stay exceeded our expectations.
