So many flies in the kitchen Only2 bathrooms Booked 2 rooms at the same rate but one is located downstairs only 1 chair 2 single beds....rather simple small comparing to another one with nice bedding 2 sofas and 1 table.

There's a gravel road that leads to the hostel, but there are no signes.the road looked like a private property that confused weather to take the road or not due to no sign.

Easy walk to the town of Vik and nearby restaurants and grocery stores.provided towels and bed linens.

There were quite a few flys in the kitchen which made me hesitant and would LOVE another shower. I did have to wait quite a while to shower

Apartment could use some thorough cleaning but guess it’s hard with older homes like that.

We got an upgrade to an apartment about 2 mins away which was appreciated. The apartment was old but spacious and had all necessities. Location is perfect to explore Vik town. You get greeted by the cutest dogs upon arrival to the reception and if you’re lucky you get to meet the cat too!

The location is great for visiting local attractions. The check-in process was straightforward, with all the necessary information provided in a note. When we arrived, the space was neat and clean, and there were fresh towels and bed linens available. A well-equipped kitchen and a seating area for meals were also provided.

Some noise due to thin walls, but pretty minor. But truly extremely expensive for shared-bath accommodation, likely because we booked late.

This place was spotless, including the shared bathrooms and kitchen facilities. Location was good and the dogs were very friendly.

This was the most expensive night on the island by a lot.

Need a front door mat, there was no oven, small kitchen for the amount of people staying. Very small space for headroom if you are on the top bunk.

Good to have a sitting area and eating area, seperate to the kitchen. Beds were comfortable. Staff were lovely and it had great views. Awesome to see the whale in the main beach! Thanks to the hosts for letting us know it was there.

Vik and the area are an extremely beautiful part of the country. A gateway to the waterfalls, lava beaches, and glaciers. The small city has everything. Gourmet restaurants, shops, tour organisers, hiking paths, and a Scandinavian trampoline for little ones to jump on (look for a colorful bump in the ground wherever you go)... The hostel feels like home, the kitchen is perfectly organised, with some details you can never forget (like angelica syrup for your drinks or lava salt for your dishes). The dogs, rooster (in the morning), and horses nearby make the stay truly unique.

My only drawback was the price. As a family of four, we had to book two separate rooms since there wasn’t an option to stay together, effectively doubling the cost. At $550 for one night, it was the most I’ve ever paid for a hotel stay for our family.

Great location with very comfortable beds. The facility was clean and well-maintained, and communication was easy throughout our stay with no issues.

Toilets having hand dryers is guarantees to wake you up in middle of the night. Slightly annoying, yes.

Bit small and cramped. Location of PowerPoint's could have been better and more hooks to hang things since its such a small room.

First of all, the boss was very friendly. Their dogs and cats were also very cute. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking. The only drawback was that the bedding in the rooms was very damp.

Lovely hostel in Vik. Easy to access, great room with excellent shared bathroom and kitchen facilities, and warm lounge area. Highly recommend.

Facilities were a bit run down for the price we paid compared to others we stayed at (incl another in Vik). This was last minute so they may have bumped the price up.

We stayed here 1 night at last minute so I think we got the worst room. It was very squishy and cold - but we booked it at 2pm so probably not enough time to heat it. 1 bathroom with 1 toilet (is in same room) on ground floor wasn't enough. We waited over an hour. But other bathrooms upstairs. Very basic compared to what we'd booked 8 months prior in Iceland even though price was same. But this was last minute and the only room left in Vik because of the storm.
